"Yes, that would be the dark haired man who was with him." He nodded, "He seemed.. quite protective." Star stepped back over to the bed and took a seat on the edge of it to fuss with his boots while he spoke. After releasing latches near the base, the metal shoes hissed, clicked and opened up, releasing their tight grip on his calves.
"It should be about a week. I've implanted a homing beacon on the ship that will go off at a pre-determined time." He slid the boots off, grabbed his normal boots from the pile of belongings on the bed, and pulled them on.

"Ah, yes, the big man has styled himself as something of a bodyguard. Not entirely sure whether or not he'd like to be something else as well. I'm never terribly good at picking up on such things." Maybe he would ask Hayes if anything was going on between them some day, or if he suspected that his muscular former partner did have some designs on him.
Anyway, this was was... he hesitated to think good, because he did like Hayes. He was however glad that it hadn't been Xander, which surely was only human nature. Probably not the sort of thing you talked about though. "A week," Frost reiterated with a nod, "not too long, and it gives us time to prepare a strike team. Will you be providing us with specs on the base?... And are those boots comfortable? The impact absorbers I mean." They did wonders for the man's legs and backside, but that was hardly the sort of thing that he would just volunteer to a total stranger.

Frost's strange ramblings on the relationship between Hayes and Aulus earned him a head tilt. When he started posing more questions Star closed the metal boots up and placed them with the rest of his belongings, "I'll provide whatever your team needs. I know a number of good ways to enter the base." When Frost inquired about the boots he nodded, always happy to talk about his work, "Quite comfortable. In some ways more so than my normal boots. They were designed with my precise measurements in mind, after all."

He had expected no less, but it was reassuring to hear all the same. Frost nodded slightly before turning to scrutinize the heeled boots. "There's a lot to be said for custom made clothing, and footwear." Especially boots like that. Fabulous fabulous boots. "What's your specific area of expertise then?" Frost asked before he got himself distracted by thinking more about boots and legs and so on. "The tech you've brought with you is rather varied, but I tend to find everyone has their own favourite field." He was asking much but giving away little in return... not that Star seemed to have minded so far. Perhaps he would wait to see if Star a) answered the question and b) asked him the same in return.

Star definitely gave no indication that he minded talking about himself. He lifted his chin proudly as he answered, "Weapons. In the original Team Galactic I was head of the weapons technology department."

Ahhhh, right then. Frost nodded. "But when things changed you did not find yourself in such favourable circumstances? That must have been quite a blow.... Did Deimos lead a department in the old Galactic? How did he come to be the new leader of Galactic?"
And who was this 'she' he had mentioned earlier? Somebody of importance he imagined, perhaps the cool competent woman he had seen on the Giant Mechanical Ariados; Tethys. The operatives who had been lost in the mine had encountered her again, and reported that once more she had seemed to chaperone Deimos. She had been present at the destruction of the Machine too, and apparently she was in charge of questioning the captives.... So she was certainly a very major player in Galactic but whether or not she was Star's 'she' he had no idea. Perhaps if he asked enough questions he would find out, he supposed he had a personal interest in her now if she had harmed Xander. If she had and he had any say in the matter she would live to regret it... briefly.

"He was nobody. In the old Galactic Julian Todd was a useless grunt that no one cared about. The fact he's running the entire organization now is a disgrace...." After a moment spent glaring Star finally started to realize he was divulging an awful lot of useful information for nothing in return. Frowning, his red eyes twitched back to Frost. "You ask a lot of questions, Agent Frost. Are you always this curious?"

Humm. Interesting, a grunt had somehow risen from the ashes to take the reins? He was certainly a genius, but the common man tended not to appreciate such things so he had to wonder how the man had achieved it. Maybe he'd just been the only one out of touch with reality enough to try to resurrect the organization, and a lot of people had felt they had nowhere else to go.
"Mmmh?" Frost tilted his head as he realised Star had spoken again and took a few moments to process the question. "Oh, yes, indeed. I like to question, to ask why things are the way they are, to find the truth, to discover out how things work and why... or as the case may be how they don't work so that hopefully they can be made to work using a different method on the next trial."

"Mmm.. well Agent Frost, I'm sure there's more information I could divulge, but I must admit it's stuffy in here for my taste." He glanced around the room, "I tried to leave but the guards at the door informed me I'm not to go anywhere without an escort."

Frost glanced around the room too, following Star's gaze. It wasn't much, but it was better than grunt quarters. It did have a stuffy, unlived in feeling to it though. "I have no urgent appointments," he said after a moment, turning his pale eyes back onto Star, "If you wish I could show you around the non-classified areas of the base, so long as the guards approve it." They would have instructions on where Star could and could not be taken, he imagined. If not then he would just have to contact somebody higher ranked who did know what was permitted.

"Well then," Frost turned to the door, "let us be going."
Once outside he turned to the guards, giving them a nod of acknowledgement. "Star wishes to be shown around the base. Are there any areas off limits to him besides classified zones?"

The guards looked at each other, then Frost. "Just classified zones.. though he's not allowed to interact with weapons either. F'he causes any problems, it's gonna be on yer head..."
The second guard eyed Star, "Boss gave orders to have him fitted with a tracking anklet. Hasn't come through yet.. may as well take him by tech to get one while you're out."
Star rolled his eyes, "Lovely.."

"I am, of course, aware of that fact," Frost replied mildly. "We'll head to tech first then... though given your choice of footwear, Star, perhaps it would be better for us to get something for your wrist." No weapons, no classified areas. Simple enough, they'd leave tech as soon as they had the tracking device. Once he was a member of Team Rocket - as an executive or otherwise - he would have plenty of time to spend in the area.
"Let us be going then Star," Frost said as he turned away from the guards, setting off at a swift walk, though as long as Star's legs were he would have no issues keeping up. At the end of the hallway he took the stairs down - keeping neatly to the left-hand side of course - and glanced over his shoulder at Star. "The fourth basement floor is the tech department, we'll work our way back up through the other levels and facilities from there."

Star nodded his approval at Frost's consideration of how an anklet might conflict with his very fine boots. He followed , long strides carrying him quickly after the shorter man, hands clasped behind his back, coat flowing after him. His eyes roamed, absorbing everything around him. "Where is this base located?"
