Hehehehe I'm not bias in the fact that I would buy a video game if it had a hott guy but I would buy a video game that allowed me to do stupid crap like dress charcters up or such!

Well, I don't think the hot male lead theory applies to me. I like girls. >.>
But I have been known to buy crap games because there were cute girls on the cover art. Coughphantasystaronlineepisode3cough.
Funny, how while despising the libidic male phyche, I find myself slipping into said psyche so easily.

I've rented/borrowed a game for the looks of a character(s). /cough DoA I don't think I've ever bought one though without the game having some other playable worth. I'm fairly selective.

I've never bought a game for that reason, I might think some of the boy characters are kinda cute but its a waste of money other wise.

No... I prefer games with "cute" characters, such as Pikachu. xD
(I made my brother buy Pokemon Channel just because I heard it had Pikachu in it... It was kind of a disappointment. xD)
I like games with good storylines too, regardless of what the characters look like. So, no, I wouldn't buy a game just because I thought the male characters in it looked cool. Plus I don't have any money... >_>; But that's another story. xd

When ever I see a girl play a fighting game, they always choose the good-looking or cutsey characters. I've only seen 1 girl my whole life ever pick an ugly character and it was Voldoo from Soul Calibur.

honest to god telling the truth, ive never bought a game on graphic's or how cute the main guy or girl character is. When i buy a game i go by story and company basically.

guilty and proud! i will admit i go on the art on the case or how it looks in reviews but i haven't been steered wrong yet. most of the games i get with "H-A-W-T" characters are good.
for example:
FFVII - got it for sephiroth
Xenogears - Fei was a cutie
Valkyrie Profile - everyone was pretty
Magna Carta - beautiful art...... and i wanted to try to fighting system.
