Nehanda dashed along behind Osu, catching up to him quickly. "I'm gonna beat you and Peblo!" she yelled. As they really weren't that far from the end of the land bridge, it didn't take long at all to reach the island and, consequentially, the strange gryphons. One was a mostly white animal with amazing blue-green wings, while the other was boldly black and white, with a touch of red on his head.

Upon approaching, Nehanda slowed down just as quickly as she had taken off. "Hi there," she addressed the gryphons politely. "I'm Nehanda. I live over there." She pointed off toward Cetalu. "Uh, are your peoples around?" Obviously, it was easier to get names and all that important stuff from people who could talk human talk, she reasoned.

Foenix grinned as the children eagerly took off along the strip of sand. "Well, this picnic sure is taking an exciting turn!" she laughed.

Pueblo blinked. "Wahh! I hafta keep Pie safe...!" she cried out, but it was no use; Nehanda and Osu had left her in the dust. Half-way skipping up to her friends, she managed to catch up. "Who ya talking to, 'Handa?" Pueblo asked then looked down. She rose her eyebrows and instantly grinned. "A griffin! 'Handa, look! There's 'nuther one!" she pointed at the slinking white weasel. She watched the Aerandir come closer to them... he wasn't slowing down! Bitting her lip nervously, she took a step backward cautiously. "H-hey!" she spoke to the weasel, becoming unsure of how to handle this situation.

Fae smiled a little and repositioned her glasses on her nose. "I have a hunch that we'll be having several guests," she commented as they came to the edge of the bridge. She could already spot people walking their way. "Greetings from Cetalu!" Fae waved, her arm flailing in the air at an elderly women.

Nehanda giggled wildly at the gryphon currently clinging to her shoulder. she brought her arms up instinctively to support the eager little boy. "Wow, you're really soft!" Stroking her hand down his back, she carefully pet him.

"It's okay," she hastily assured the woman approaching them. "I like him! What's his name? I'm Nehanda, and I live on Cetalu over there with Feenix!" She freed one hand to gesture back toward her guardian.

Foenix hurried forward. "Hi, there. I'm Foenix! That's certainly a friendly little guy you've got there," she smiled at Air. "It's nice to meet you." She offered her smile over to the other gryphon, and the elderly women whom she assurmed was his guardian. "It's nice to finally meet all of you!"

Doris, at first, was a little too stunned by the sight of the Aerandir children to speak. One of them, now holding another gryphon, a white and black one with long ears, was creamy in color, with short, white hair and white wings very low on her back. Another was a bright orange-ish red, with white and black wings and hair. The third was brown and white with creamy hair and black-tipped wings of the same cream color.

She took a second to sort that all out in her mind. Why, these are Aerandir children! Just look at them. They're adorable!

"Why, hello, there." She said in her gentle-voiced, friendly way. "Who might you be?"

Upon realising that these children were also running at him, Tayte had lost heart and high-tailed it back to Doris, where he was now hiding behind her legs, clacking his beak nervously.

Fae's feet sprayed sand behind her as she jogged the short distance up behind Pueblo. She placed her hands onto the Aerandir's shoulders before introducing them. "This is Pueblo," she told the elderly women calmly. It came as a surprise and subconsciously switched the way she spoke. She was so used to seeing people just a little older than she, but it didn't bother her. "And my name is Fae, Pueblo's guardian," she smiled wistfully to both the women and the younger girl who had just approched.

Pueblo immediately held the jar up. "And dis is Zanzibar!" She wagged her tail proudly and stared up into the women's wrinkly face. But suddenly the girl grimaced. "What are those on yer fa-"

Fae quickly placed a hand over Pueblo's mouth. "So who might that cutey be?" she asked quickly and crouched down to where the white and blue gryphon was. She smiled and held her hand out, seeing if it would come to her.

Foenix nodded toward the older woman in response to her greeting. "I'm Foenixfyre, and this is Nehanda." She patted the girl gently on the back, being careful not to upset Oleo from his precarious perch. "We'd all intended to have a picnic on the beach, when we discovered the land bridge that joins ours two islands." Turning her head, she looked back over the stretch of land.

"It wasn't there before, so it came as quite a surprise to us!" She then smiled at Air and repeated her introduction.

"Hi, 'Leo!" Nehadna now properly greeted her new-found friend with her usual cheer. "It's nice ta meet'cha. You fit pretty good on my head! I never had a Ar'ndir on my head before!" she giggled again, even as she tried to get a better look at the other gryphon with the gorgeous wings. What was his name?

Well, Foenix kept telling her that introductions were really important, so she stuck her hand out toward the old woman. "I's Handa, and I live with Feenix!"

Doris smiled at the young Aerandir who called himself Osu. Then her gaze moved to a young man - so many young people! - walking leisurely towards them. She nodded as he introduced himself. Ieyasu. Long white hair. Perhaps early twenties. That should be easy to remember.

Air Song turned out to be from Ar'Idil, like Doris and Tayte. Her bunny-like gryphon was called O'leo. Air was young and appeared Hispanic, with semi-curly brown hair.

The brown and cream Aerandir child introduced herself next, or was rather introduced by her guardian, a somewhat short woman who appeared to be the same age as Air. Then she was introduced to the jar named Zanzibar, which was probably a gryphon-to-be.

She siled warmly at Fae and held out her hand. "Doris Meriweather. I arrived on Ar'Idil only recently." Tayte clacked his beak again. "And that is Tayte, about a week old, today." Making the best of this introduction, Tayte spread his gorgeous wings all the way and made a trilling, cooing sound. "He's an ermine and Blue Bird of Paradise Gryphon."

She nodded at Foenixfyre, long, auburn hair and blue eyes, appeared somewhere in her early twenties, and smiled at young Nehanda. Her eyes widened in surprise as she heard about the land-bridge "suddenly appearing". "Oh my, how fascinating!"

Gael picked her way down the side of the beach, close to the water, well ahead of Sin, who carried their picnic basket and blanket. They were headed to the middle of the new structure that had appeared soon after Gael had grown - the landbridge. Although it had now been standing for some time, Sin had not yet found the time to take away from teaching Gael the finer points of reading to actually come and check it out.

Gael, however, was interested in the figures that she saw in the distance, her pace was quickening, and she soon forgot to keep her eyes on the ground, where, just moments ago, she had been intently searching for rocks or pieces of glass that might have been un-earthed durring the quake.

She hurried, wondering who would be wandering around the landbridge anyway. Sin would see her and follow her, she knew that much.

People. And Wyv would've walked right past them, if not for Makai's sudden squeal of delight. The little wisp zoomed in an erratic orbit around his drum, which was wedged securely in Wyvern's backpack. The top flap was pinned back, allowing easy access. Makai might be intangible, but his guardian was not and she would pound out a note or two to the wisp's eternal delight.

"Eiiieee! Eeee!" Makai waved his hands towards the group on the Land Bridge. There were people there and he wanted to go see. He floated in front of Wyvern's face, pointing enthusiastically until she got the message.

Shifting her fishing poles from one shoulder to the other, she turned in the direction indicated, with an inquisitive grunt. "Gee, Blu," she commented idly. "I think you wanna go thatta way." Makai only pointed more, adding little pleading noises in his attempt to veer offcourse and Wyv laughed. "Sure, let's go."

Makai crowed in joyful triumph. Victory was his! Maybe there was someone he knew over there? Either way, there'd be people to watch. He enjoyed watching people and listening to their voices. fishing was boring after a while. People never were.

Wyvern approached, slowing as she got nearer. They all looked to be chatting amicably. She didn't want to intrude, and settled a distance away, Makai fluttering about her head.

Sanar gleefully ran down the beach, arms stretched out and wings spread to catch the breeze. She was running, well, just for the sole reason of running. Kicking up sand in her wake.

With a giggle she spun around and paused, blinking at the land bridge and the numerous figures on it/heading towards it.

Chao was racing after her, but for once it was more in the spirit of a race than chasing her often theiving daughter down. The guardian blinked as Sanar abrupted turned around and bolted back towards her, skidding to a stop and pointing keenly at the land bridge.

"Huh... looks like the land bridge has been decreed stable then," Chao observed, scratching at her chin.

"Le's go!" Sanar grinned and didn't wait for her mother's assent as she raced off.

Groaning Chao raced after her daughter, catching up only when the got onto the landbridge itself and Sanar abruptly decided she wanted to be carried piggyback style.

Sighing Chao did as the Aerandir wished and slowly headed down towards the group.
