Gab wasn't sure if he heard that correctly, his eyes blinking several times in surprise. "A boy you say?" That was one helluva curse indeed. "I'm sorry Kohaku, I... I didn't know."
How could anyone be able to adapt to such a change? Gab knew he wouldn't be able to so easily. It was just all baffling.

"Yes. And the worst part is that I can't even die. I've been cursed with eternal life as a girl." She told him, her sadness started to get worse and worse. She clutched him tightly, her sixteen year old body pressing against him.

Gab continued to stroke her back though he was starting to feel a bit uncomfortable. Perhaps it was that she was pressing herself so closely to him. Never to die? Well that had it's perks but being a slave for the rest of her undying life, that would be miserable. "Wow, you've just been hit twice with the Unlucky stick?"
Perhaps he was over doing it. "As long as I'm still breathing Kohaku, life won't be so bad for you here."
Speaking of which he'd have to talk to Naji. Or maybe find someone to keep him company when he couldn't. The man just relied on him too much. Perhaps it had all started when he saved him. A soft sigh slipped through his lips as he continued to hold Kohaku.

"Thank you, Master." she thanked still crying quite a bit, but now the tears didn't come out so fast. Her heart was racing now when she realized she was hugging him tightly. She jumped off, blushing heavily. "S-Sorry." She apologized. She looked even cuter when she was blushing deep red.

Gab only stood there holding her till she quite crying. At least that was his plan. She'd pushed him away so quickly that it startled him for a moment as he stared at her. Was she getting sick? Her entire face just flushed red. That wasn't good. It took him a moment before he realized that she was embarrassed, though about what he wasn't really sure.
"It's okay Kohaku. There's nothing to be sorry about. How about I make us some dinner and we can call it a night after that? Have you get settled in and as for Naji's concern, well, just don't let him push you around. He's not used to having to share and he's been a bit selfish in that aspect. Though I'd get an earful if he heard that. "
Rubbing the back of his head he gave a chuckle. "So what do you say?"

She nodded. "O-Okay." She stuttered. "Sorry about jumping away though, and, um, hugging you." She continued blushing.

Gab chuckled waving her off. "Why don't you help me, Kohaku. You can tell me what you like and don't like to eat. Naji can be a picky eater at times, so it only serves that you may as well. "
Gab turned and headed to the kitchen frowning slightly when he didn't spot Naji anywhere. He was worried about the young neko. Where was he hiding?

Kohaku looked down. "Actually, I'm unable to eat. Anything that I try to eat turns into the most repulsive taste in the world. I just um..." She saw a rat in the corner and her body glowed dark. An orb of darkness went around the rat. The rat quickly turned to ash and after it did, Kohaku's skin looked smoother and she seemed a year younger. "Do that." She finished, looking down in self loathing.

Gab watched more disgusted that there was a rat in the house than what actually happened. "I see. Well," What could he say really? He thought for a moment but decided not to say anything to it.
"A helper would still be something nice to have." Sure that sounded good enough for him.
"Actually if you wouldn't mind checking where Naji is?"

Kohaku shuddered at the thought of Naji. Naji had claws, and she'd rather not put a sword through his throat if he attacked. "I'm sorry master, but I'm a bit afraid to." She told him apologetically then winced away, expecting to get hit out of instinct.

Gab looked over at her then frown a bit as she flinched. "It's okay, I'll go look for him. Would you mind getting dinner ready? Even though you won't be eating?"
He was worried even more seeing her flinch away from him like that as if she expected for him to hit her. His frown deepened as he thought more and more on it.
"Once you've started it and I've returned you can head to bed early so as not to have to deal with Naji's sour mood. " Maybe that would help. Oh he hoped so and hoped she didn't take it the wrong way.

"Of course." She said as she went back to normal. She walked to the kitchen. She took out fish, as there was a surplus of it, and then some cooking Wine, lemon juice, Sage, and Rosemary. She put it in a pan with melted butter. Next, she took out some corn and started it on the stove next to the fish. She then took out some berries, a banana, and a kiwi, then grabbed ice from the freezer. She put all of those into the blender and started making a smoothie. The blender was so quiet! She then started doing everything with the food she could without spoiling it.

It took a moment for Gab to find Naji, where else if he wasn't in the open area? It should have rang a bell with Gab. He always hid either up on the roof or in the bedroom. Knocking he attempted to open the door but something was blocking it from opening. "Naji, it's me... open up."
He waited for a moment silence engulfing the air. "Go away you jerk.
Ah, she Naji was upset with him. Figured. But of what exactly he wasn't sure.
"Come now Naji, let me in. " With a sigh he closed his eyes. "Going to make dinner. I expect you to be out and washed up sitting at the table when it's finished. "
"I'm not hungry. Running a hand over his face he turned and headed towards the kitchen. If Naji was hungry enough he'd be coming out. And he sure as hell would be letting him in when he went to bed. That was HIS room after all.
As he walked in his eyes landed on Kohaku moving about the kitchen.

Everything was almost done by the time he came out, making a smell of well seasoned fish go around the house. It finished quickly and put some on plates.

Gab smiled, "Wow, that didn't take long at all."
Moving in he helped set the table and then brought the food as well to put on the table.
"I want to thank you for your help. " and he was grateful though upon saying that the sound of a door creeking open slowly could be heard. "Sounds like Naji's stomach got the better of him, or you just made one of his favorite foods that he can't resist. If anything it'll gain you points. " He gave her a wink smiling while softly chuckling.
