"No I'm not but I mean, I'd give you my blood if it was any good but it's expired about 18 years over date and then some if you add in the time spent six feet under." She wiggled her nose at the poke shrugging, "So it's not his blood it's you being you and being a fussy little puppy."
Phone gone, Shehk in arms, cuddles commenced as intended, no amount of wiggling could free her now.
"So then why make such a big deal about him and get this worked up?" She shook her head pressing her forehead against the other ghouls, one arm around her waist, the other lazily stroking behind a fluffy ear. "If I didn't know any better this sounds like me." Honestly it was, the two of them had always been close, but because of Nuk, or Siddie, one of them was always taken, a part of them written off to another who they couldn't leave, or at least hadn't left yet.
"Shehk you have to tell me whats wrong if you want help... you've been acting weirder and weirder and it worries me you know that right?"

"Because I'm not trying to be with him." She replied, slumping a bit. There might have been a part of her disappointed by this. "He's already got Riley and nobody will ever mean as much to him as she does..... even though she's gonna get married to Mal." Okay, maybe she was disappointed by it.
"All I'm trying to do is be supportive, that's all. But Jericho's a good guy and..I dunno, I feel like if all I can do is offer a shoulder, that's what I'm going to have to do."
Friendzoned.
"He's not ever going to be ready for anything, and as it stands, I'm not sure if I would be ready for anything either."

"So then stop fussing over him and find someone you want to be with then!" She tugged the slumping Ghoul closer ruffling her hair as they cuddled. What came next though caused her to blink. Riley? Marrying Mal yeah but that would....
Yup. Shehk confirmed it by saying the name, "Jericho? You mean to tell me. You. Afraid of fire. Have a crush on a dragon who's fear is fire and ends up hitting himself all the time?!" He jaw dropped just a bit.
"And what do you mean 'be a shoulder' isn't that what his little purple mistress is for anyway?" She frowned, something wasn't quiet adding up. "Did he do something to you? Or ask for something? Why would you be this worked up Shehk? I know your smarter then that to let a boil get under your skin again like this..."

"That's not it at all!" AUUUGGHHHHH. COMMUNICATION WASN'T WORKING. Shehk had an idea of what she was wanting to do with her time, but trying to communicate it to Sammy was turning her brain into mush. She just couldn't put it into words.
"It is not a crush." Shehk protested, the most lame an unconvincing protest ever. She was thinking about him a lot, just not in the romantic sense of things. She was more like a worried mother at times. "And Fire isn't bad as long as you don't get hit by it! Even.... if he just kinda flames all over the place...." Like when she's right there trying to make him not lose his mind.
Shoooot.
"He didn't do anything to me. I mean, yes he has Riley, but..... sometimes there are things you can't consult in your best friend about because they're the cause of it, y'know?" she explained. "I'm just worried about him with Riley's engagement, that's all."
It was a convenient out.

Sammy was on one set path; WAS HER PUPPY CRUSHING ON JERICHO!? She had to know the truth, sure it was Shehk's choice but in her defense she had seen the last relationship Shehk was in, and she didn't want to see it happen again, not to Shehk, not her best friend.
"So what is it then? If it isn't a crush what does it add up to be?" She finally relaxed a bit just cuddling with Shehk debating to herself just what Shehk and Jericho where. "Like I said Jericho can't hit the broad side of a barn without setting himself on fire. He's a nice guy. Really. Just terrible with the whole fire thing."
"So you're trying to cover up for something Riley's done? I can't believe she of all people could make a mistake." Of course Shehk tried to point it towards the engagement and Sammy could only offer a half hearted shrug. (Really, it's hard to shrug when cuddling your best friend). "Fine, be worried, just... don't do anything stupid please? I worry about you, and Jericho has his own set of issues it seems. Don't just make this into some terrible 'he gets rejected from his purple mistress so he rebounds onto a rebounding Shehk' dramas or I'm going to kick his a** and scowl at you for a week."
It was a fair punishment; she really couldn't stand not being on good terms with Shehk for more then a week. See her Hellma pin for proof in point. Worst. Week. Ever.

"********, One year later isn't Rebounding!!" Shehk protested to Sammy's course of accusation. "If I moved any slower, I'd be going backwards with my relationships, Sammy!" the Pricolici keened, wiggling to roll over with a pout.
"It's not a cruusshhhhhhhhh, we're just friends. You were there for me when I ..er..let myself be helped through all the stuff with Nuk, I'm just sort of forcing my help on Jericho. That's all."
She leaned in close to Sammy with wide eyes before she kissed the other girl's nose, wagging her tail and giggling.

Oh Jack, she was doing it, she was pouting and whining like a puppy Sammy couldn't resist it at all. She lost her grip slightly on Shehk which made it all the easier for her to roll over and pout.
"Fine fine fine, just friends. And I'll be here no matter who it is. Nuk, Jericho, what ever. I'm here for you and that's why I'm making a big deal because I would like us not to have that whole drama again with you and someone and shipping and all that ja-"
Did Shehk just kiss her? On the nose? Okay it wasn't like full on lip action but Shehk making a kissing motion at her?
If she could have blushed she would have, instead her eyes just went wide purple FEAR flashing brighter for a moment in surprise at the gesture. Without thinking much she leaned back in offering one on the forehead, "Any lower and you might be asking for some trouble Shehk."

"Not Nuk. I don't think ever again, Nuk. Even if he were to come back to school by this point I can't let myself go back into that situation with him again. I just.....I can't." she frowned. It had hurt, but she'd let herself hold onto the skinwalker for too long. She'd tried to mend it, tried to be a better person for it. She'd...wanted to be what he wanted and part of her had been lost in that.
She couldn't do it again. She wanted to find someone who just plain made her happy - not to say that Sammy didn't. Shehk's tail wagged as Sammy kissed her forehead. "Ha ha, if I go any lower than that, Siddie might bust into my room and put me in my place. I'm not gonna encroach on her territory, man." she laughed as she stretched out.
"Besides, I can't try to encroach on her territory when I haven't even left my own mark on it yet... Which on the note of..." Shehk fidgeted through her pockets before she held her hand out to the undead ghoul with what would have appeared to have been another gift.
"For you."

Sammy grew quiet, bad blood indeed there. "Even if it was bad. Even if it didn't go the way you wanted. Shehk, you became so much more, stronger, you went home and though I missed you, you came back. Proud."
She knew she made Shehk happy, it was a strange relationship, it almost bordered on the puppy love she mocked Shehk for secretly having for Jericho. The two could only grin at each other as they joked about Siddie. "Fair enough. She's gotten a rather rough streak lately, just like you. I look away for a minute and suddenly you're both rowdy ghouls with an idea and a drive.... I like it."
What came next caused her to raise an eyebrow eyes flickering curiously, "Marking territory huh? So I'm puppies property huh?" She glanced down and what she saw would have stopped her breath had she bothered to use it for more then speaking. Carefully two boney fingers reached down to pluck the out held pin. The little black bat flying past a moon. She choked almost for a moment.
"Shehk you... I..." she fumbled about switching the pin to her other hand, the boney fingers brushing past her purple eyes, a trickle of the purple flame slipping away shifting into a small pin as well. The twin dog tags dangling on it before pressing it into Shehk's hands.
"Of all people..." she mummbled dragging her in for another series of cheek and forehead kisses. "Jack-Dammit, I can't even cry anymore because of these stupid eyes and it's all I want to do."

Shehk seemed content to accept the emblem she received in turn of her own offering, turning it over in her fingers thoughtfully. Of the three emblems she'd ever given away, Sammy would be the only one at Amityville to have one. As it stood, she should have had it before the other two ever. It was stupid, really. A mistake she was making up for.
Yet the fact it made Sammy want to cry was almost..puzzling. It wasn't as though she'd just proposed to her best friend or something. That may have just been..awkward, maybe.
"As it stands, Sammy, you should have been the first one to get it. Not now, not so much later." she sighed, crossing her arms over her stomach. "I mean, really...." her tail thumped against the bed a few times.
"And don't you cry on me, that's not fair at all!" she protested with a weak grin, reaching out to pinch Sammy's cheek playfully. "Giving you nice things shouldn't be worth tears."

It wasn't an engagement, but it was sign of friendship with the first person she ever really cared about at Amityville. Even as her tail thumped against the bed it just felt right, what should have happened ages ago finally happened it was satisfying.
"Shehk you where the first real friend I've had. Here. This is my home and my everything. And just... it means... a lot. A whole lot." She wiggled at the pinch swatting at Shehk's hand.
"It is fair! You come in here, bringing me gifts, giving me hugs and all I can offer is my own tiny little pin!" She huffed, "I just... you've done a lot for me, and I'd do anything for you. I don't know what I would do if I wasn't friends with you."
