Badieh hopped onto the first of the rocks, the slate thinner and then becoming thicker, she waited for him after she came atop them, "Just a bit further," the slate here were like those that the historians kept their history on, but these were broken, heavy, and collapsed on one another in a heap. There were no dried shrubs here, no signs of life, no buzzards overhead, just silence.
"Come," Badieh said turning and walking along the stones, as she went a little farther, some came together, leaning on one another, and the broken shards reached up towards the sky.
There, that was where she was taking him.

Sjari followed her easily enough, though he wasn't as healthy, and his paws ached slightly as they climbed over the rocks. He wouldn't complain, of course. Sjari didn't complain. Maybe he never again would. He glanced up, for once looking curious as he observed the formation ahead. It was quite... strange. As if giant paws had just set the shards together, built something.
"There?" He heard himself ask, as he continued to follow the firekin. They certainly seemed to be going in that direction.

Badieh nodded while walking, "Yes," they were nearly there, and only a few moments later, they arrived at the 'bottom' to where the slates leaned on one another. Badieh turned to face Sjari and motioned to an opening that blended with the stone, it was hard to see during most times of day, but it made it secret, and safe.
"Inside, it's hollow, and if you are within it, the sunlight protrudes in on the ground from that direction," she said looking to the other side of the structure, "sand does not collect inside, as the slates are like walls, so you'd be safe here," she said watching him, "alone here. If that's what your searching for."

He listened to her words, and pictured the inside, because at first he wasn't sure if he should just move ahead and look for himself. Then Sjari concluded that she had brought him here for him to go inside, so he glanced at her, nodded, then stepped forwards.
Inside was just as she described, he realized. There was a sliver of light, just enough to allow him to see. Lions had good eyes for the dark, but they needed some light. And it did look fairly sheltered from the sand.
It was unlike him to really feel happy at this point in life, but Sjari did feel grateful. This lioness had done something for him, she didn't need to do it. He hadn't even spoken more than a few words to her. So he turned and stepped back outside. "Thank you."

She watched him approach with hesitation, but why should he hold none? They had met today, never before, and he had to trust on her word. BUt she was good for it, great even, because of who she was, who she was raised by and who she had become. But he didn't know that, he knew nothing of her, in fact, he was all but a blank slate, that had, now, just a few scribbles of notation of who he was. He had the same of her now.
There was an even playing field an even...understanding.
She nodded at him, and turned to move away, but halted her movements, she would leave him to be alone, and she would have to monitor when he came to her...now their spot, so she knew when she could hide from others. Truth be told the inside was large enough for two very large male lions, with space to stretch, but that was something strange to think about. Strange indeed.
"We're not done," Badieh said simply, "this, you can see, as a gift I share with you, but there is something else-" something she wanted.

It would be dishonest to say that Sjari did not wish for this to be over. Not because he disliked this lioness, but simply because he couldn't talk to her, or probably do what she wanted him to do. The black male couldn't do much of anything now, until he solved some things. He was haunted, and it kept him from speaking more than a word or two at a time.
So instead of making any sound to indicate she should go on with what she wnated, he just perked his ears in her direction. Hopefully she would understand that, as he avoided using his voice whenever possible.

He was silent, still, and when he made no other motion to speak besides the slight tilting of his ears, she went on, "I want someone to train with. Outside my family," she loved them dearly, felt a loyalty to them but...she needed to try and become her own as well. She needed to make...distance, without going far away.
She was not sure how he would react, not knowing his history, his scars, whether battle wounds or inflicted otherwise, so she left it to him to think.
"Just...think of it, and then decide," but she knew, otherwise, she would train, alone, again.
She went to leave him and walked passed him, but stopped a short distance away, glancing over her shoulder, "I'm not sure what happened," she said in a lowered voice, referring back to when she spoke of why he wanted distance in the first place, "but I'm sorry it did," and she walked further away back towards the pride, perhaps to find a secluded space somewhere else.
She only hoped he would be happy there, sharing, she would enforce if she had to, but, she was truly sorry for whatever seemed to ail his mind. Badieh only hoped he might consider her offer.

His face remained blank as he considered what he said. Sjari had become very good at remained blank, though that was probably because he only felt one emotion as of late. Or, few very similar emotions.
It was an unexpected request, though the black lion's face showed no surprise. She wanted someone to train with? He felt like he would be a strange choice, considering Sjari was hardly a healthy looking lion right now. Some time ago he would have been an excellent partner. But now...
Still, he was going to need to move on eventually, he recognized that. So he would honestly consider this. He might have attempted to answer her now, but the black female turned and left him. He wouldn't call out for her now.
But perhaps, later, he could seek her out, and give her an answer.
For the time being, Sjari entered the hollow she had brought him to, and immediately began to use it, lost in thought.
