Tian Yue's comment stung far more than she would care to admit, but she did her best not to let it show. The guise faded away and she got to her feet on her own, cradling Domino in her arms. "That's the thing Ser, I am Morgan." She knew it would be difficult to understand, let alone accept. "Like I said its a long...complicated story. Why don't we all sit down, then Tian Yue and I can explain."
She glanced up at Tian Yue and smiled half heartedly. "That is if he doesn't mind helping."

"Come in," Tian Yue said, simply, gesturing for Xing Yun to go ahead and prepare the room for guests. She nodded and ducked back into the living area, straightening the papers and making everything presentable in one fell swoop of efficiency.

Ser stood up again as Tien stood up. Ser backed off a step knocking her abandoned bag as Tien shifted back to normal. Not Morgan! Cat likes her has to be Morgan. She forced a smile on to her face as the two strangers stood in front of her. She grabbed her bag holding onto so her hands had something to fidget with. “I’ll do my best to listen. But who is Tien?” Morgan Is. Probably.
She stepped further into the room as Tian Yue offered. Ser looked tense. Stepping closer to Tien she smiled brighter but keeping a small amount of distance she normally wouldn’t from Morgan. A little unsure of the situation with Morgan’s sudden change.

"I am." The distance didn't go unnoticed but she chose not to mention it and made her way back to the couch. The goddess resettled herself with Domino in her lap. The cat seemed considerably calmer than he had been, no doubt glad to be out of the backpack and with someone more familiar. She scratched him between the ears, wondering just where to begin with all this.
"Do you remember the last time you saw me, when I seemed hesitant and unsure...like I was hiding something?" Tien thought her host-self had done well, but Ser was always more observant than most gave her credit for. She lifted a hand up to touch the side of her face, feeling for a mask, her usual security that wasn't there. She felt oddly vulnerable admitting all of this.
"Well, I was hiding something, because I couldn't explain what was going to happen. I didn't even really know what was going to happen."

Tian Yue settled himself on the chair by his desk, watching the two women, goddess and mortal, in silence. If needed he would interject, but for the most part this was between them.
((Feel free to skip my turn in the post order if needed; Tian Yue is just going to watch unless he feels the need to speak up (or if someone asks him something).))

"Yeah i remember" Ser sat down on the ground across from Tien not really feeling comfortable indoors again yet. She rested her check on hand as it fiddled with her hair. "But I thought it had to do with...” Ser’s eyes flicked over the Tian yue. “Private matters of self discovery. How did you end up God? I mean you were mortal right?”

If only it had been that simple. "Yes, I was...and I still am, kind of." Trickery pushed the sleeve of her blouse up high enough to expose the tiger's eye gem embedded in her arm. The scratches left by Destruction had healed since then but scars remained marking where they had been. "As to how...I got the gem a few weeks before I found you. It wasn't exactly my choice." She still wished her host-self had not appeared so foolish to the Twin Crown, but it was past and nothing could be done about it.

Ser twitched as she saw the scars on Tien’s arm. I don’t think you can take who ever did that! I know. She bit her lip and swallowed hard not liking the thought of her friend being hurt. She was still for a moment while she was thinking. The cat likes her and she took Morgan’s form, but she’s not going out with Tian yue anymore and she changed her name. Ser jumped up and shook her head messing her hair with both hands. “Did Morgy become Tien? Or are you a stranger who replaced my friend?"

"Those questions are more complicated than you think, but the answer is both and neither are correct." Infinitely unhelpful, and could be considered evasive, but it was true nonetheless. She was both Morgan and Tien, but not the friend Ser knew or the Tien of old. It was some sort of odd middle ground and it had taken her long enough to figure that much out.
She pushed her sleeve back down and glanced over at Tian Yue, wondering what he might make of her answer. No doubt he would have an easier time comprehending it than her friend would. Whether he would comment on it was another matter entirely.

"We are both a blend of our mortal selves - our hosts - and the gods in the gems those hosts bore," Tian Yue interjected, gently. The concept was more than familiar to him, though when he was newly reborn it would have felt strange in his mind. Now, though, himself-Crispin and himself-Shaiming had truly become one, neither mortal exalted nor ancient and weary god. "Morgan as she was knew that this would happen, and she... welcomed it."
He glanced at Tien as he spoke, hoping that was not overstepping his boundaries.

“So Morgy’s still Morgy; only with additions.” Ser nodded. That explained most of it her enough; in her mind at least. She stood up walking over to Morgy sitting beside her on the couch wrapping her friend in a hug. “I missed you....” she paused for a second. “Can I still call you Morgy or is that rude?

She smiled at Tian Yue and laid an arm over Ser's shoulders, hugging her in return. Thank you. Her friend probably would not have understood if he hadn't spoken up. "I missed you too, Ser...and you can, if you like." In a way the name still fit and yet not at the same time. She considered it to be one of her (possibly too many) names regardless.

Oh, good. Tian Yue didn't actually sigh with relief audibly, but the emotion was there nevertheless. "Where have you been, Ser? Many things have happened since I saw you last."
Understatement.

Ser held on to Tien for another moment before releasing her old friend. She sat down properly on the coach though closer than most people would to Tien. "That’s good learning to call you something else would be really hard Morgy." She said leaning a bit on Tien.
She looked over to Tian Yue as he spoke up. In her excitement to have Morgy back she had forgotten he was even still in the room for a moment. She looked down at her feet shuffling them nervously. "I don't know really. I saw the gardens and I went out to find them. I managed to get outside but I never found the gardens." She bobbed her head back and forth bit as she tried to remember anything specific about where she had ended up. "It's a lot easier to get lost here then the city was. No police stations to check in at to bring me home." She laughed nervously rubbing the back of her head with her hand. Her ability to get lost was better than anyone’s and one of the only reasons even Morgan had gotten mad at her for time to time. "Though if this is really the same please i started luck was not on my side. I have a hard time my way when the location doesn't do a complete landscape change."

Tien bit the inside of her lip to keep from laughing, managing a crooked smile instead. Her host-self knew all too well about that. She had gone to collect Ser from the police station on more than one occasion, when her brother wasn't able to. It always baffled her how someone could get lost so easily.
"I'm more curious about how she survived..." A good deal of mortals had not been so lucky.
