"Well, yeah," she blinked then grinned. "And these waters, I guess. But I've never really been much of one for the watery part of my heritage. Watery? Aquatic? Should it be aquatic? Maybe it should be aquatic. That sounds better. I've never been much one for the aquatic part of my heritage. See how much better that sounds? More pompy. Pompy? Pompous? Pompous is bad, isn't it? Like stuck up? Nah, not aquatic, then. I'm not stuck up. Being stuck up is boring. Unless it ticks people off... then it can be fun. Are you pompous?"

"Ah...." he said weakly. How should one even begin to reply to that?

"Ah? Is that a no? Or is it a 'I don't know what the right answer is so I'm gonna flounder," she stopped, then giggled. "Flounder. Like a fish. I crack me up."

“You’re floundering again,” she giggled. “Maybe you should try saying something random. That’s what I do when I don’t know what to say or how to respond. Either that or I throw a punch, but you seem too nice to do that to. Or maybe you’re just that boring. Some people don’t like fighting, and they’re not all boring. Some of them are interesting. Most of them are boring, though. Are you one of the boring ones?”

"Ah... I'd like to think I'm not," he said, trying to still his spinning head. "Boring, that is," he clarified hastily. "Ah, do you think I am boring?" he asked, almost timidly.

"Nah, I mean, not yet, anyway. But then, you're different and new, and that might be why you're interesting."

"O...oh..." he said weakly. He didn't think he was boring, but now he was beginning to feel old. Like he was too old to keep up with her. How hyper was she? She seemed to move at a mile a minute, all while swimming in place. He never thought of himself as slow or placid, but she was making him feel downright geriatric.

"I used to think that I did," he said with a twist of his lips. Was he really more quiet the he thought he was? Or was she just using up all the words in the conversation. That almost made him grin. Could a conversation have a maximum number of words, or require a balance?

"You used to think that you did?" she repeated, blinking. "How could you used to think that you did but not now? Did you used to talk more before and something happened? Or did you just not talk to many people who talked a lot so you seemed to talk a lot by comparison?"

"Well, that's kinda depressing. Maybe you should spend more time with mores kinds of people. I mean, how do you really know anything about yourself if you only interact with one type of person? People are different and they react differently to different people. You can't know if you're a good person if you don't interact with bad people. You know?"

Tam's eyes widdened at the outpouring of words from her mouth. How fast must her mind run that her mouth could struggle so to catch up? It was taking him far longer to process what she had said then it had taken her to say it. His head hurt. "Uh.... Okay," he said weakly. He had no clue what sort of response she was after. Would he always meet such extreme sorts? First that jellyfish, now her?

"Uh, okay?" she repeated with a small, disappointed frown. "Does that mean that you're just agreeing with me to get me to shut up? Because if you are, that's just not cool. In fact, that's pretty rude. You shouldn't agree with someone unless you actually agree with them. Unless you DO actually agree with me? Except you sound so uncertain, you couldn't actually agree with me. UNLESS you don't really understand what I'm saying? Is that it? you seemed pretty smart but maybe not. Are you not that bright?"
