"Well. At least she's feeling better," Rio observed when Tien went back to the kitchen. Asherah seemed much less amused, however, and he moved to put a hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry she's teasing you because of me. You going to be okay?"
He'd tell her to stop, if he had to!

"I'll be fine, Rio. That's how it's always been between her and I." Asherah slid her hands away from her face and looked up at him, smiling weakly. "It's just usually there isn't an audience." She patted the couch beside her. "Sit and relax, I'd say we could offer help but that kitchen is too small for so many bodies." That had been her one real complaint about the place, it was difficult for even two people to move around the kitchen at a time.

"If you're sure you're fine with it." He kissed the top of her head before sitting beside her, careful of what was left of his wings. They weren't pleasant to be jabbed with, this he knew better than anyone. "It's just me, anyway...I'm not that much of an audience, am I?"

"Its usually just Tien, Gul and myself here. So, kind of." She resettled herself a more comfortable against the arm of the couch, leaving her tail dangling off the side, tapping against his legs lazily.
Not long after Rio was settled Gul emerged from the kitchen, carrying a tray with a teapot, pitcher of juice and four glasses. "Morning you two." She smiled, setting the tray down on the low table between the couches before settling on the opposite couch. "Tien should be out shortly, I think she was trying to wash off some of that flour."
Eventually Tien did appear and indeed look a bit less flour covered. She set down the tray of muffins and cut fruit that she carried before dropping onto the couch beside Gul. Love was right, she was in far better spirits than he'd seen her last night. The only difference now is she had chosen to wear her physical mask instead of guarding herself so tightly.
"Well, go ahead Rio. Your the guest."

Rio flicked his own tail to his other side, letting it drape over hers. There was something pleasing about having a tail, he'd decided, and even the ears that had once seemed overly large to him. The added expressiveness was fun to play with.
"Morning!" he responded cheerfully, those ears sweeping forward to attention. He would have to get to know this other housemate a little better sometime, but probably not today. It was Asherah who should occupy his attention, and rightfully so.
"They smell good." Leaning forward, he selected a muffin. "Thank you."

"There is tea, as well as juice. I can also make coffee, if you'd prefer that." This is assuming there was any left; she knew Tien had taken some of it when she went to visit Worldshield. Gul offered before pouring two cups of tea and offering one to Tien.
Tien took the cup and murmured a 'thank you' to Gul before settling herself back against the couch, nursing it slowly. She wasn't sure what sort of morning small talk might be appropriate, as she didn't know Rio quite so well as even Asherah did. "So, you've clearly discovered shapeshifting as well."
Asherah glanced at Rio out of the corner of her eye and smiled. The subtle motion hadn't gone unnoticed. She reached over and plucked a few strawberries off the plate of fruit before resettling herself comfortably.

"Tea would be wonderful." The sad truth was, by the time he 'fixed' his coffee properly, it was hardly coffee anymore; it became more accurate to call it warm milk with lots of sugar and a hint of coffee flavor.
"It took me entirely too long," he admitted as he nibbled at the muffin, "But yes."

Gul set down her teacup and filled the last empty one for Rio, leaning over the table to offer it to him. Clearly she had appointed herself hostess and kitchen mistress of Tien's house.
"I suppose its more natural for someone like me." She was still toying with the idea of trying more animal like shifting at some point. Seeing Rio like that gave her even more ideas. "What other sorts have you tried?"

Rio nodded his thanks to Gul, accepting the cup of tea with his free hand. She was certainly the hostess here, reminding him a little of Nashwa.
"Not many. I've just imitated my followers, mostly." And he didn't have a lot of those! "The most impressive is the Tylluan, I guess? Sort of a...giant owl."

"Hn...that certainly seems like an interesting experience. Did you try flying?" Tien was curious if flying seemed a difficult thing to learn. She might see if flight was possible in her dragon shape, if nothing else it would be good for a laugh. The goddess set her cup on the arm of the couch and reached for a muffin as well. She should probably eat something after eating so little the last few days.

"Yes, and I made a terrible fool of myself." Ffyrnig had laughed and laughed, and generally been delighted by his comical attempts, which had actually lessened the sting. At least someone had had fun! "I think I like this shape much better."

"Seems to be a reasonable outcome, when one is so used to being bound to the ground." Tien nibbled at her muffin thoughtfully a moment. She hadn't the faintest idea on how to even begin to try flying. Perhaps she could ask one of the Kings...but who? "You don't seem to be the only one." Her gaze flicked to Asherah who was currently trying to keep her admiring glances on the down low.
The catgirl nearly choked on a bit of a strawberry when she caught Tien's gaze.
The goddess just laughed and shook her head.

"Mm-hm. I'm used to wings that are for decorative purposes only." Tien's had looked like they might be a little better-suited, the one time he'd seen them, if a bit small.
When she teased Asherah again, he decided to tease the goddess back. "Oh, so you like it~?"
He posed for good measure.

The goddess had since picked up her tea again and very nearly ended up snorting it when Rio posed. Her cheeks flushed beneath her mask from mild embarrassment. "I prefer my men with scales, rather than fur, thank you."
Asherah bit her lip and covered her mouth to keep from laughing aloud. It was rare someone else got the better of Tien.

"Hn-n. Here is where I would cleverly turn into something with scales, but I'm afraid I have no reference point." Which was a terrible shame, because it would have been fabulous...so he shared the thought instead, grinning broadly.
