~Zero~ ~Slave~  What is your bidding My Lady?As he asked the Head Mistress his question, Zero noticed a young woman come in. Not wishing to disturb her though, he said nothing as she walked in. Besides, he couldn't just stop talking to Amaranthe. He would seem very rude if he cut her off. He did, however, nod at her as she sat down, giving her a simple hello in his own way before returning his gaze to the Head Mistress. As you wish Mistress........

 Jessa saw a man nod a hello when she opened her book. She gave a small little wave of her own and a smile as she turned to her book, but keeping an eye on him as he continued to talk with the head mistress.

Turning back to Zero, she gave a grin. "Actually, Zero... I was going to ask if you'd be willing to be my pet? I may be safe for the most part here in my lovely home... But, I'm still a demon royal... And I want pets around who I think could protect me." her words were honest, not meant to convince him or anything.... She had a few assassination attempts since she'd left home, people convinced her new role was just a ploy.... She waited in silence for his answer as she thought, frowning to herself about her line of thoughts.
(( OOC: Ha, right? It's all good. Amaranthe just happens to have a great amount of insight into most people.))

~Zero~ ~Slave~ What is your bidding My Lady?Zero nodded in thought, taking in her reasons for wanting him as a pet. He was indeed capable of protecting others, hence why he came to the large establishment in the first place. A thought went through his head though. "I see your dilemma My Lady, but a quick question if I may..... If I am to be used as a body guard of sorts, would that be specifically to you? Or would it be my duty to make sure all mistresses here are safe, but mostly yourself?" He asked this merely to get that confusion out of the way, trying to see if he was a personal body guard, or a simple guard to everyone there. It would be easier to just keep an eye on her, but would make him feel more important if he had to protect most of the residents that lived in this large home. As you wish Mistress........

Jessa closed her book with a snap. She approached the head mistress and the man, "I'm sorry, but if I could interject? I was wondering if I might be able to have this one as my pet since i don't have one yet. Where you are such a powerful being and I am but a lowly mortal", she said with a small bow to her. "Of course that is up to you", she said turning to the boy.

He was sure it was because of the other "chores" they would use him for. If they chose too of course, knowing that not all mistresses needed such partnership. Having no say in this one, he simply peered back at the Head Mistress. In the end, it was up to her. He could care less as long as he had someone to protect..... As you wish Mistress........

Her eyes turned blank as she turned to look at the woman, one dark eyebrow arching as she listened in silence. The woman hadn't even spoken to Zero, just waved at him and smiled, and here she was, asking her for him. Amaranthe looked over at Zero and rifled his thoughts quickly, letting him know she was there as she often did. He didn't really care which of them was his Mistress, and frankly, Amaranthe found Jessa rather rude for interrupting their conversation. And was not in the slightest amount, pleased with the young woman.
Her blue and red eyes stayed on Zero as she gave a faint smile, ignoring Jessa's interruption for the time being as she responded to Zero first. "You'd be guarding me personally... I'm actually debating moving my pets of choice into my tower at the back of the castle, so that they're closer at hand... As right now, if something were to happen while I was in my tower... Nobody would know until they came looking for me." she looked at Jessa and took a deep breath, her eyes closing for a brief moment as she centered herself. "As for you, Mistress Jessabella Marnette.... You will find, that I don't take kindly to uncouth behavior... And more expressly, to being interrupted in such a manner." Amaranthe paused again, looking at the woman with emotionless eyes as she continued to speak. This was the court side, where you saw no emotion in her, only the cold hard demon that was rarely unveiled to the public. "You would do well in the future, to remember your place in my home, Mistress. Or you may find yourself turned upon your ear.... And if you ever, try to play that simpering fool game again, you'll follow the same fate. I'm not a simpleton, Jessabella, and neither are you, so let us not lower ourselves to that level, hmm?"
She didn't allow for an answer to cross the Mistresses lips before she looked back at Zero, a faint smile playing at her lips. "She does, however, have a point, Zero... It is your final choice, despite the fact that she was incredibly rude about making said point." arching one eyebrow, she gave a more open look of delight, her eyes glinting with humor as she looked up at him. "So, Zero, as I said, after much fuss and dramatics... You have the final decision, who would you like to have as your Mistress?"

~Zero~ ~Slave~ What is your bidding My Lady?Zero seemed stuck at the moment. Either of his choices would make the other upset. So it was either choosing the normal mistress with no slaves and the powerful Head Mistress who already had plenty of protection. Saying no to either seemed to be a crime. Though he thought it would be out of place to ask, he bowed respectively in hopes that they would understand his other option. "If I may be so bold My Ladies, I do not wish to disappoint either of you so..... Is there any way I may serve you both? I do not wish to appear "greedy", but I would not mind having two mistresses to serve. My abilities and past experiences allow me to serve everyone here actually. If you both wish to own me, perhaps both of you should......" He winced a little, figuring he would be smacked for such a suggestion. They didn't seem to enjoy sharing, especially between one another. As you wish Mistress........ ((Lol, just trying to please everyone here XD))

Jessa bowed her head a little as she looked at the floor for a little bit. "Forgive me Mistress Amaranthe, but if I might say, I would have been interrupting you if you had been in mid sentence. I don't mean any disrespect", she said bringing her eyes up now to look at the other woman. (i don't know how she was rude)

Seriously? "Interruption doesn't just mean stopping a person from speaking, Jessa. It also can mean, to stop the flow of something, in this case, a conversation, that was happening without you involved." looking back at Zero, she gave a soft sigh. "And unfortunately, Zero, no... There is no way for you to serve both of us, especially not one of the Head-Mistresses and another Mistress.... You'd have to choose." Amaranthe truly did want Zero as a pet, but she was growing frustrated with the situation, and didn't like the fact that she was allowing it to frustrate her.

~Zero~ ~Slave~ What is your bidding My Lady?Zero straightened up, frowning now. He was hoping that it was a way to get around it, but his hopes were dashed away. He peered at the both of them, his red eyes scanning them both as he went into thought. Being with the Head Mistress would definitely give him a higher rank as a pet of sorts and could protect the most important person of the entire mansion. However, the other had no one while Amaranthe had several...... Zero turned to the Head Mistress, bowing lightly as he looked to the ground. "Lady Amaranthe...... I'm terribly sorry, but it would seem that you already have many pets who could keep you safe. Lady Jessa has no one to keep her from harm. You may call on me any time you wish My Lady, but I think it would be best to be with her......" He hated every word that came out of his mouth. He despised choosing, especially if it would harm another. However, in the end, he thought he made the right choice. As you wish Mistress........ ((And this is why I hate choosing T-T I figure that seeing that Amaranthe had a bunch of slaves already, I would do the "fair" thing. Sorry hun =/))

She gave a short nod to Jessa and began to leave, pausing only at the door to look back at Zero. "And Zero? You would have been my second pet... My other pet, Zen isn't around right now." giving a faint smile, Amaranthe bowed her head to the pet, and let the door fall shut as she left the library, the book she'd come for left behind.

He didn't have an option though, knowing that he would hurt one of their feelings either way. He truly wished he could serve them both in order to keep them safe. Perhaps one day, he could and even a few more. That's al he wishes for really. He turned slowly to his new mistress, smiling a little at her offer as he tried to forget what he did. He nodded lightly, being a little famished since he got here. "That sounds lovely..... Mistress."As you wish Mistress........
