Oh...oh! How inconsiderate of her! The baku wilted slightly when she realized just how tired her poor friend was, and the pace at which she had been walking...oh, Jack. "I'm sorry, Yin-Cang. I did not mean to push you." She bowed her head in apology, but when she looked up, the corners of her lips were quirked upwards in a small smile. "Yes, I'll go upstairs and fetch the tea for you."
Her gaze flickered to Princess Eva then, and her smile grew wider. "Would you like to come up with me, Princess Eva? And...Shu, Jian?" The baku looked towards her own minis then.
Shu bounded up to her, seeming eager to go wherever her friend went so that she could spend a little more time with her. Jian, on the other hand, simply shook his head, planting himself right beside Yin. If the ghouls were going up with Xiu, then he would stay here with the boil.
"Mmkay then! Princess Eva, Shu?" She pulled open the door, holding it open for the pair of minis. "We'll be back in a few minutes, Yin-Cang!"

"There is no need to apologize Miss Xiu-Ying," he said, bowing slightly in return. Which might have helped him somewhat as he stared at the ground, cheeks flushed in embarrassment. He had had trouble keeping up with Miss Xiu-Ying? Yes, something was definitely wrong. He watched as Princess Eva and her friend went with the baku, waiting outside with Jian.
The downside to staying outside with a mini not Princess Eva was the temptation that it offered, smelling absolutely scrumptious. Unfortunately when he attempted to think about something else his mind just drifted back to the reason he could not sleep in the first place. Was Alexander doing alright? At least he did not have to worry about not being able to sleep, a fact that Yin was slightly envious of. It was not fair that the zomboil did not have to go through this.
He waited, mostly patient, for the baku to return, crouching down to pet Jian occasionally, hoping to distract himself with the action. Hopefully Miss Xiu-Ying would return soon. Then he could take the tea with him and finally get some sleep. Sleep. How wonderful that sounded.

This time, while Xiu wanted to rush up the stairs so that she could deliver the tea as soon as possible, as she was much more mindful of the fact that she had two small minis following after her. Once she reached her door, she let Shu and Princess Eva in first before slipping inside. Okay, so all she needed to do was grab the tea, and--
--...and? The baku blinked in confusion as Shu trotted up to her, pawing at her foot, eying the cupboard overhead, and then looking back to Princess Eva. "Shu? What is it that you--oh!" At once, a smile lit up the ghoul's face. She nodded in understanding, and then gestured towards the room. "This will take a few minutes for me to get everything ready. Why don't you guys relax for a little bit?"
It didn't take too long, though. Once five minutes or so ticked past, Xiu had a clear thermos of tea in one hand and a small, mini-sized giftbag dangling from her fingers. In the latter, there were carefully wrapped minipet treats--treats that Xiu had made the other day for Shu and Jian, and treats that Shu apparently wanted to share with her friend. Crouching down, she gestured for Princess Eva to come forward. "Here you are, this is for you. Now, let's go back down and get you and this tea to Yin Cang, shall we?"
Downstairs, Jian was content to let Yin pet him, making no noise beyond a small rumble of approval. His ears pricked up as he picked up the sound of footsteps coming from within the demon dorms and--yes, it was the ghouls.
"Sorry for the wait, Yin Cang! Here you are!"

Princess Eva kept up easily enough, scampering along at the demoness' feet. Shu had some ideas of her own however, and got Miss Xiu-Ying's attention in her own way, directing the ghoul almost as skillfully as Princess Eva could direct her boil. She investigated the room, looking to see what might have changed since she had been gone and then there was apparently something to present to her.
She took the small bag from the baku gracefully, delicately clamping down on the handle of the small gift bag and holding her head high to keep them from dragging as she went back. The present smelled delightful and she was rather excited about it, eyes shining as she looked at Shu. How thoughtful her friend was. But she did need to get back to her boil.
She bounded up to her boil when they returned, barely slowing down before she ran into Jian. Yin straightened, bowing slightly to the ghoul. "It was not so long. Thank you Miss Xiu-Ying." He was ready to leave really, but the rabo had given him questions to think about. "Did you get a present Princess Eva?"

Jian nearly tumbled backwards from leaning so far back when Princess Eva came charging in his direction. It was therefore a great deal of relief--and irritation, but mostly relief--to him when the rabo fortunately came to a stop before she could slam into him. Casting her an unimpressed, flattened-ear look, he moved around her and trotted back up to Xiu, settling down by her feet.
Xiu didn't seem to pay much mind to the minis' exchange, offering Yin a smile as she returned his bow with one of her own. "Not at all. I just hope it helps!" She let out a light laugh, her gaze falling to Princess Eva when the mini was addressed. Looking a little sheepish, she rubbed the back of her head.
"A few treats that I had baked the other day. Shu wanted to share them with her friend. I hope that's alright?"

Jian really just needed to loosen up a bit and have some fun. Really.
Yin reached out to gingerly take the thermos from her, enjoying the warmth that seeped through to his hands. "I believe that the worst case scenario will be that I receive some delightful tea. So I thank you for your concern."
But really, the rabo was the biggest concern. He could not help but smile when he realized what his princess had. He crouched down and reached out a hand toward Shu to pet her. "Thank you for being so considerate as to share your treats Miss Shu. I appreciate you sharing with Princess Eva and for being there for her." Yes, he might have said more words of thanks to the minipet than her owner.
"Yes, it shall be fine. He turned to Princess Eva. "Shall I carry those for you?" he asked gently, taking away the bag and straightening with a yawn. "I believe I must be headed back to the monster dorms now." He began backing away before giving her a final bow. "Have a good day Miss Xiu-Ying. I shall return your container soon." Now then, just to get back to his dorm and drink his tea and hopefully, hopefully get some rest.

Xiu didn't even bother trying to hide her grin when Yin stooped down to thank Shu. The mini seemed quite pleased by the acknowledgment, her long, feathered tails fanning out behind her as she emit a pleased purr-like sound. If she could speak, she would have told the boil that she was being a good friend, was all!
When he excused himself, the baku was quick to sink into a small bow, her grin softening to a smile. "Yes, I do hope that the tea helps! If you need any additional help with your dreams, you know you are always welcome to come and ask me." Xiu would always, always be willing to lend her friends a hand. Besides, she got something out of it too--practice, which was very important for a young dream diver.
But until then, she hoped that the tea would suffice. With one last wave, she turned and reentered the demon dorms, Shu and Jian right on her heels.
