Arthur watched as his belt began to move on the ground of its own accord.
Startled, he flicked his head from side to side to make sure that no one was manipulating it while he wasn't looking. He waited, glowering just in case the culprit did decide to show him or herself. Arthur wanted to prove himself capable of catching a cat, but he also didn't want to fall for anyone's dumb joke. He waited for a little longer, and then realized that there was no one around. It was a pretty secluded corner of the island, after all, and the way that the sun was winking off the purple sequins of his belt made it seem like the only thing that could possibly be playing with the discarded belt was...
"The cat." Arthur breathed, his heart beginning to pick up.
Who knew that when you went to hero school you would get so excited over the prospect of possibly nabbing a genetically altered cat?
He took a deep breath and wrote out n-e-t in his elegant cursive and swiped through the word, the net materializing in his hand. Alright, as they said in his action/adventure books, it's go time.

Arthur slammed the net down, only to watch in horror as his manifested trap disappeared as soon as it touched the cat.
"What! No way!" He fumed, slashing at the air in front of him in a desperate hope that the cat would still be there. Nothing. He couldn't believe that this power had conked out like that! Mad uncool.
He seethed to himself, writing n-e-t-n-e-t-n-e-t-n-e-t-n-e-t-n-e-t and angrily hitting through them until he had a pile of nets before him that disappeared moments after they touched the ground. This was ridiculous. Clearly all of his hours of practice had not paid off.
Rebuckling his belt frigidly, Arthur looked out at the wide expanse of green lawn. Oh, he would get that cat, alright. He would fill as many composition notebooks up with his pristine handwriting as it took-- mark his words, he would get that cat...

She had hardly walked three steps before metallic mewling a few meters away. Eh? Danica turned slowly to her left and saw something tiny and metal sitting on a bench. She thought it was some kind of boombox until it moved. Tiny little (not?-)robotic ears twitched and it’s head tipped to the side. Was this the cat that Dr Flo wanted her to look for?
“Um… hey there cat.” Animals had never really been her thing. They were cute and all, but there was always something she found a bit creepy about them. Maybe it was the way they moved, so inhuman, or maybe it was their beady little eyes, and how they watched you all the time. She felt like this cat’s eyes focus in on her like a camera lens. She reached into her pocket and pulled out the bag of treats. She shook it and looked at the cat awkwardly. “Er… these are yours. If you come over here.”
The feline merely narrowed its bright blue eyes at her and twitched its tail in annoyance.
“Er… so… you don’t want them?”
Its gaze became less offended.
“So then… what do you want?”
The tail twitched again.
“Uh—” before she could carry on the strange conversation the chorus of a pop song starting blaring from her pocket. Dani pulled her cell out of her jeans and looked back up at the cat. “Er… I gotta take this.” Why was she explain herself to the cat? “Hello? Oh, hi Cindy. Eh, that’s nice Cindy. Cindy? Cindy? Cindy, I’m kind of busy at the moment, can I call you back later? Thanks. Check ya late.”
She snapped the phone closed and glanced back up at the bench. The cat was gone! Well, obviously the cat was gone. What did she expect? Oh well, it should only be basically impossible to find it again. She better start looking before–
Dani felt something brush up against her leg. “Ehh!” She leapt back half a step, away from the shiny outstretched paw. The robotic looking cat blinked up at her, its eyes huge and emotionless. After her heart rate went back down to normal she held out the hand with the treats. “Um, here you go?”
But the cat wasn’t looking at the treats. It was looking at her other hand, holding the cell phone. “You want my phone?” She asked in disbelief. The cat flicked its tail twice in what Dani could only interpret as a yes. She clutched her phone to her chest and shook her head. “Heck know Whiskers. This tech is mine, go find your own.”
The metallic feline narrowed its eyes at her and reached its paw out to her leg again. Slowly. Deliberately. She could see claws.
“Ooooh, no you don’t.” She narrowed her eyes right back at it. No more Mr Nice Guy. Dani put her phone back in her pocket and pulled out a pair of peacock blue earbuds. She shoved the treats away as well and dangled the headphones above it’s head. The cat watched the tiny speakers sway. “Okay, cat, here’s the deal. You follow me back up to see Dr Flo, and you can have these.” They were broken, but the cat still seemed interested.
The cat seemed to pause for a moment, considering. He put his put his paw down, turned his back on her, and started walking towards the school. A few (creepy, slinky) steps away from her he stopped and looked back over his shoulder.
“Yeah, yeah, I’m coming. Cool your jets.”
(( Caught. Technically xD . ))

Violet was a little bored for the moment when she heard about the escaped cat. After having a chat with Dr.Flo the little alien decided to aid the Dr. in finding the cat. After all it would give her something to do now that her nap was over along with the classes she took for the day. Violet started off to find the cat, pushing her holo-watch and turning her disguise on before she sat out, just in case this search led her towards the cities. But for now she was roaming the halls and rooms of the school.
Moving down the halls of sidekick academy, she couldn't help but hope she really did know what a cat looked like...since well the code name of her partner for the dance she really didn't get.

Ever persistent, Violet lazily swayed down the halls in search for the Invisible Cat. Remembering Dr.Flo saying that it likes shiny things, she dug around in her pockets for something shiny coming up with next to nothing. Sighing Violet moved along stretching her hands out above her, the holo-watch on her arm catching a sunbeam and glittering. "Oh! " .. Well it looked shiny when the sun hit it maybe..
Violet setup the holo-watch on the ledge of the window in the hall in just the right spot so that it could catch the sunbeams and sparkle. Hoping to use this to lure the cat out of hiding. She hid herself behind a door, watching the watch. It might of been a long shot in the dark but Violet didn't have anywhere to be so she had the time to wait..

Violet was lightly dozing when she heard a thump, her beady blacks flew open and towards the holo-watch. Lo and behold there sat a cat, the cat was eyeing the watch and purring happily apparently pleased with the shiny. Violet took a moment to try and figure out how exactly she should capture the cat. She couldn't rightfully just walk over and try to get it, considering it could just disappear again.
This was tough..
Giving it a curious eye, Violet extended her arms out wondering if her ghost hands could influence a cat? Reaching out she tried to take control of the cat with her hands rushing towards the cat on the ledge. "Now just hold still kitty.. "

The invisible cat heard the aliens voice but it was to late to run by the time it stopped its purring and rubbing against the watch she was on it, her ghost arms holding its own firm in place before she let them up and scooped the kitten into her solid arms. Violet smiled happily and gently used the other hand to pet the cat, pressing gently on a few of its pressure points to relax it down into her arms. "Alright kitty..lets get you back to Dr.Flo.. " She cooed lazily, starting down the hall and letting the cat play with the holo-watch till they arrived.

Tabby once again encountered the red and white cat with the distracting fez hat! It was grooming its paws atop a very tall tree... Tabby had a mouse toy attached to a string tied around the end of a tall branch this time... she waved it around, singing, "I'm a delicious mouse. Come and eat me!" in her best mouse-y voice... As the fez cat jumped from branch to branch, Tabby couldn't help but feel hypnotized by its rather hypnotic fez, but she shook her head and focused. Finally, it came close enough to pounce on the mouse toy. And it did pounce on the mouse toy, falling in Tabby's net trap! OHO. A net erupted from the ground, leaves and dirt leaping everywhere, and encasing the fez cat. Tabby jumped and shouted, "I have you now, fez cat! Ha HAAAA" She took the net back to Dr. Flo and gained 1 level. CAUGHT! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

((I can't believe I didn't do this on Monday, oh man~))
Arthur Kensington was not one to give up. Even after his stinging defeat at the hands of Invisible Cat, the hipster had promised that he would not go down easily. And so, when Dr. Flo again reported that a cat had gone missing, Arthur had welcomed the opportunity to match wits against his nemesis again, and volunteered.
He could wrangle a cat. The first time...that had just been a fluke. He knew that surely Dr. Flo would see that too, and that he'd complete her task this time without a problem.
"Alright, so what I am going after this time?"
His hands were on his hips and a smirk crossed his face: the very picture of cockiness.

"A fez cat?" Arthur curled his lip at the suggestion. What? Did Dr. Flo not think that he was competent anymore? Did she think that he couldn't HANDLE catching an invisible cat? Hmph.
He stuck his hands in his pockets and then left the lab. Alright, fine. If this was the way that things had to be, then he knew that he wasn't going to be able to change them. Too bad for Dr. Flo for assigning a very competent cat-catcher (Arthur thought highly of himself) to a very simple case.
Arthur had the utmost confidence that he would not be distracted by the fez. He was just too cultured for that sort of thing. Besides, fezzes weren't all that hip anyway.
So, it was with a slight sullen swagger that Arthur marched off to the Academy, in hunt of the fez cat.

Arthur saw it for just a moment, and then...his mind went blank.
He blinked, trying to shake off the thought, but it was no good-- the cat was already gone. He stomped his heel into the ground in fury, wondering both how he was supposed to explain to Dr. Flo that he had failed in his quest to catch the fez cat and also how to explain to his hipster self that he had had a striking moment of inspiration involving...fezes when he'd seen that cat.
Arthur ran his hands through his hair. Oooh, this would not be the end of Arthur Kensington's career as a cat catcher. He knew that he could do this. Maybe he would need to do a little reading up on felines and fezes before attempting this again.
He skulked off to the library, kicking every pebble in his way.

Arthur was back.
Alright, so maybe he'd had some hardship with this task in the past. Not once, but twice had his quarry eluded him and now he was ready at last to prove his worth to Dr. Flo and show her that, yes, even it if killed him, he would catch one of those damn cats through sheer persistence.
Invisible cat was, of course, his main enemy. He had been so close to catching it before that victory had tasted sweet on his tongue before the cat had escaped at the very last moment. He'd raged when he'd been presented the task of catching Fez cat, but that wily beast had gotten away as well. On the upside, Arthur had had some inspiration about possible new outfits, so the day hadn't been a total loss. But now, with another cat loose, Arthur was ready.
He would prevail.

"Fez cat." Arthur sneered. Well, it wasn't his arch-nemesis, Invisible cat, but he could understand the good doctor's reasoning. If he couldn't prove himself by catching Fez cat first, then what chance did he have against Invisible cat? It was like trying to read Moby d**k without having the stamina to to get through Go Dog Go. Someone could probably do it, but they would come out warped.
He nodded solemnly and began once again to trawl through the Academy grounds, looking high and low for the elusive cat.
"Maybe I should get some catnip." He mused aloud. Arthur's parents hadn't had cats at home because his mother was petrified that creatures of the feline persuasion would rip through all her furniture, but Arthur had read a lot about cats. And catnip seemed like it might be a valuable weapon.
He walked through empty classrooms, pondering this fact.

Arthur entered a science classroom and gaped.
Not like he was very well-versed in the realm of science, but even a literati such as himself could tell that the beakers crushed into powder on the floor and the books fluttering their pages in the wind were not supposed to be there. Arthur nearly tripped over a set of weights and graduated cylinders as he entered the room.
And neatly, as though perched on top of the displaced books as a momento, were a few strands of red fabric.
"Fez cat." Arthur seethed, comprehending. Well, he couldn't let books just linger in states like this-- it would go against everything he stood for. So he began the arduous task of cleaning them up.
