"So then I guess it comes down to how you know if that person is worth the risk?" That was a highly, highly...not very helpful. "What did you consider? I do not think you made a...wrong choice. If you are one that believes in dating before a permanent relationship. You were trying to see if something would work. But why did you wish to be with...who you were with." He decided against saying the reaper boil's name, not sure if it would be appropriate.

Then again, this entire conversation was inappropriate.

But was not that not what it was? A risk? Was he just looking at this completely the wrong way? Miss Danny was talking about Rikki now, and he could not help but draw correlations. Alexander had been there when he was terrified of the zomboil's sisters. He had saved them and then he had stayed by his side. And well, he was not precisely friends with Miss Danny, but he was friends with Miss Xiu-Ying, and he was friendly toward Princess Eva, which counted at least double. He did make Yin laugh and...he had told him that he saw him for what he was. And liked him all the more for it.

Little things? He combed his fingers through his hair often. And he smiled. He smiled even when he probably had no reason to. But Alexander was not like Rikki in one way. He was smart. Really smart. He did not know absolutely everything but he was always willing to take the time and explain it.

"I understand all of those things. He is almost all of those things," Yin said, not really thinking about the fact that he was referring to Alexander out loud. "But I just thought they were normal." This was agonizing really. Did everything have a double meaning?

Yin got the distinct impression that Miss Danny was asking him if he was asking about a specific person.

He did not wish to talk about that. Not openly.

"Well of course, how can you tell if someone is special?" He might as well try the innocent act, though it was probably obvious by the way that he was carefully examining the wall that he was trying to avoid something.

But he had already known it was Rikki, so she had not told him anything really. And this was...this was agitating. He stood up, unable to be still for any longer, and began pacing, rubbing his temples with one hand.

Why on Halloween was he in a ghoul's room again? Talking to her about...feelings? Really, what was even happening?

Obviously his entire world was being destroyed.

"I do not know," he said, frustrated. "But I am supposed to be considering someone. To decide if he is someone that I would like to be...special. It is" his throat seemed to close up. Did he really want to say this? If he said it out loud it would be like...like admitting there was something. Something he was not sure existed. But Miss Danny had asked, and she was trying to be helpful and he had come to her so late at night. He really did owe this to her. "It is Alexander," he admitted finally.

That was true enough. Alexander did not seem to care for Miss Danny, who was one of his closest friends. Would Alexander want to interfere with that? No, probably not. But it was not a completely ridiculous idea either.

But the two were not close, and maybe he should not be here. Not talking to Miss Danny. Not about this. But who else did he really have to talk to? That was why he was here in the first place. "No," he admitted slowly, having to force though each word. "But I told him I would give him my answer in less than a week." Why had he chosen a week in the first place? At the time it had seemed like a significant enough amount, lots of time to sleep and such. But now that week seemed ridiculously long. And at the same time...not nearly long enough. Make a decision that would change his entire life. Do it in a week. Yeah, great idea.

"Why not?" he echoed, more to himself than anything. It was true, he spent more time with the zomboil than just about anyone. And if he were to compare him to any other boil...he would rather spend time with him than any other. He was his best friend, and if best friends could not work out things such as this than who could?

Finally things were starting to make sense, at least a little bit. "But what do I do if he changes his mind. What if in a month he realizes that this was a bad decision and no longer wishes to be with me?" Could he face going to classes with the zomboil knowing that he was his bonded to him if Alexander wanted nothing to do with him? And that was entirely too possible. He had no idea why the zomboil liked him as much as he claimed to, he seemed to always need something explained or to unintentionally upset him because things were just...different for him.

It was not really the answer that he had been looking for but he nodded. She was right about one thing, he probably needed to sleep. She had given him plenty of things to think about and maybe tonight he would be exhausted enough to just sleep.

"Good night Miss Danny," he said, making his way to the door. As he stepped out and into the hallway he turned. "Thank you," and with that he was gone, though his walk back to the monster dorms was not full of vigor as it often was.
