"Wow," he said with a smile. "I'm sure that you've felt very blessed in your life, then." To be honest, he was amazing that he was having such a....casual conversation with a lion that was ranked in the high class of her own pride. It was different with him, being a rogue. It was almost like he carried no rank, no class at all, and yet she was still completely polite to him. That had a very, very strong impression on him, more than the fact he was chatting with a beautiful lioness. Her manners were impeccable.
"Thank you for teaching me these basics. It'll help me not...trip up and ruin any chances of lingering here for a while longer," he said with a small bow of his head, his blonde mane rustling along his shoulders with the movement.

Caritas' lips twisted as Ukarimu's attitude shifted with the revelation of her class. Honestly, he wasn't even a member of the pride, why on earth would he suddenly bow and scrape just because of a little thing like that? Admittedly he was considering joining (or maybe just saying so to stay a bit longer) but the lioness still hated having people defer to her just because she was born under a full moon.
"You could say that," was her only comment on her class. It was nice to have the responsibility of a Midwife, but she wished that it was something more members of the pride could share and appreciate. There were only two Midwives at the moment, but quite a few pregnant lionesses and far more cubs.
"It's my pleasure, Ukarimu," she replied much more warmly than before. "But don't let my rank put you off, please! After all," and here the lioness gave him a wink, "you could end up in the high class too."
With that, Caritas turned and sauntered off. She had a powerful urge to turn around and make sure he was still watching her, but managed to resist. She had a feeling she'd made a good impression on him. Now if only she could arrange to see him again before he left...or chose to join.

Ukarimu, again, didn't know if he had done something wrong, but there were some aspects of him (being male) made it hard for him to understand that he did something wrong (to a female). It was a touch and go situation, as he was only used to the casual contact with a mother and sister.
He nodded to her, "Yes," ...and then a hint at something? It was far too soon to tell, but it made him more intrigued to stick around, at least for a while longer. It couldn't hurt, right?
