The priest was doing his best to avoid looking at Rio at all, but focusing on his--companion hardly seemed any better. "The City of Elua..." The dragon struggled for a moment, searching through his memory, but the name offered not even a wisp of a reminder. "I cannot remember if I have heard of such a place, or not. My memory is not as it once was."He finished apologetically.
Laurence had no idea what they were saying, but no one was laughing and leering at him yet, so he would continued to sit in wary silence.

It gets very frustrating, Rio sympathized. You seem to have no trouble with the language, though. Did Laurence know it, or was it just Shuo? Or did they both know it because one of them did? The priest was so clearly out of sorts, it was hard to tell much of anything else.

If someone did know of it I'd be quite surprised at this point. Leo watched the Laurence and the Dragon King, somewhat intrigued. It was an odd thing, thinking of two minds in one body. After a while he looked away, studying the pair through his lashes instead so it wouldn't seem quite so rude. Laurence didn't seem the type to appreciate being stared at.

"No," Shuo sounded surprised for a moment, and then, unexpectedly pleased. "Why, I had not even realized. How splendid!" Laurence had gone cross-eyed trying to look at his own mouth, as though that would help him solve exactly what the dragon was spitting out. He shook his head roughly, disgruntled, but he would not interrupt. "I understand. I tell you, I fully intend to visit, once I am stronger." He was fascinated with the thought.

Oh, the faces Laurence was making! Rio had to do his very best not to laugh, and had to contain it to a smile that could have been for some other reason. Leo's going to take me to visit, soon enough. Once Adi comes home.
Even if it weren't for needing the erras, he would have waited. He couldn't just go haring off somewhere until he knew she was home safe.

Leo on the other hand had to bite his lip a little to keep from laughing. He felt bad for Laurence, he really did, but the man had the most amusing facial expressions when he was confused. Terre d'Ange itself might not be to your taste, but there are plenty of other places around it that are worth exploring as well. The comment was directed at Shuo of course, he already knew Rio would enjoy his homeland.

"Home?" Shuo inquired curiously. She was not here? Well, it wasn't his place to pry about Love's daughter, though Laurence--and himself, he had to admit--would be curious if only because they had both grown fond of the young werewolf. She was an aoide, though. Perhaps she was accompanying the god she served on some errand...
The dragon chuckled at that, perplexed. "And why is that, if I may ask? I'm not easily put off, I assure you." Now his curiosity had been roused, and he had to know just what sort of place this Terre d'Ange really was!

Ah, she went with Illisia's son to visit the night elves, he explained, then waited with a smile to hear Leo's explanation and Shuo's thoughts...and see Laurence's reaction.

'Love as thou wilt.' is the commandment Blessed Elua left us with. Those who live in Terre d'Ange revere love, no matter what form it takes. It's a beautiful, very peaceful place. His expression turned a bit wistful as he spoke about it. Coming here was...a bit of a shock. Understatement? Most definitely!

Now that was something. "Through Yggdrasil? Fascinating." Shuo murmured, but politely turned his attention to Leo when he spoke. "That does sound... truly wonderful." A place ruled by love. That was fascinating, too. Yes, Shuo would very much like to visit such a city, just to observe how such a society could function. "I admire your tenacity--I do not think Laurence would be able to adjust as quite well as you did."

My erras-follower took them, actually, Rio corrected. He assumed Shuo was likely to know something of the errais, since they were apparently, as a whole, somehow beholden to one of his brothers. When Leo mentioned that coming to the Pantheon had been a 'shock,' his smile turned to a bit of a grin.
That was definitely an understatement.

Leo caught the look on Rio's face and could not help but smile as well, cheeks flushing a bit. It had become a sort of private joke between them. If it had not been for Rio, I might not have adjusted so well.

Perhaps it was the grin that had tipped the host off. Maybe it was Leo's suddenly pink cheeks. Whatever the reason, Laurence's face suddenly contorted, and Shuo was surprised enough into allowing the priest to speak his mind. "Ah. Ah. That's to say--hm." It seemed like Laurence didn't know exactly what he wanted to say, but his own face was heating up with color.
