Kale slowly reached up plucking a red blossom from the bush, sniffing it brushing it agaisnt his face. The he opned his mouth and started to eat it, stuffing the entire bloom into his mouth. "Mmmm, sweet." he mummred, the look on his face was like he was just given a pieace of candy for the first time.
Emer smiled at the complement, quickly goasting out of thier systems. "I think I can work with that. I'm a little out of practice, I haven't had to do this since we stoped working together. But even so.." she pushed her short hair behind her ear looking up at Orpheus.

Ligeia get a squeak sound when the giraffe devoured the flower, then a giggle, "Flowers tastes good?" He asked curiously, he thought that they smelled good but he had never really thought about eating one before. He looked over at them for a moment... and still didn't have that desire to pluck one off the bush to eat. Ahh well, he would leave that Kale.
He stretched out his wings then gave them a flap as he watched to see if he would eat anymore of them.
Orpheus smiled, "I am sure that you can do it. Your the best at this sort of stuff." Emer had always been in charge of all of this stuff while he was the one that went in to snag the gems. She had the hard job he knew that, hsi job consisted of walking, climbing, and picking things up.
"Shall we take a break then? It seems as if the boys have wandered off."

Kale sank to the gorund, sitting down with his legs crossed reaching up and plucking a couple more flowers off the bush and begain to munch on them. He nodded smiling, almost giddy as he snaked on the sweet tasting treats. "Do you not like to eat flowers?" His ears quivering in joy as he tilted his head curioesly at his new found friend.
Emer smirked, shutting her computer, her head coming up to look around for her new charge. "Kale? Where did you go?" She immedatly rose to her feet, her eyes widing as panic begain to set in. "Crap, I am a parent of all one hour and I lose the kid."

"Can say I never tried them." Ligeia said as he watched Kale more closely, then looked over at the flowers. He seemed to be enjoying them so did that mean that they tasted that good? His wings gave a little flutter.
He reached over to pick one of them and popped it in his mouth, chewed on it for a moment, swallowed, and blinked. Ok... he didn't understand the giraffe's liking for the things as they tasted like vegtables to him. Oh well, to each their own he supposed, "Not to bad." He said, not wanting to offend his new friend.
Orpheus laughed, "Calm down, this place looks like the outside but believe me they can't get out of there. Its got three doors two of which are always locked and the third would just lead back to the hall." He couldn't see either kid wanting to go into the hall since there was no fun in that.

Kale laughed at the look on his friends face as he tried the flowers. "You look kinda funny when you eat these, maybe you shouldn't eat them." His eyes sparkling with good natured humor.
Emer sighed, rubbing the bridge of her nose. "At least there is that." She started into the thicker part of the indoor forest. "Kale? Where did you go?"
Kale's ears twitched, lifting his head he looked behined Ligeia his eyes going wide. "Oh no.... Momma doesn't sound happy. Do you think that I'll be in trouble for eating the flowers?"

Ligeia nodded, "Your probably right." Him eating flowers no doubt worked the same as Kale eating some of Ligeia's favorite foods. It wouldn't work out all that great.
His ear tufts fluttered as he heard Miss Emer's voice and he hopped up to his feet, holding his gloved hands out to the giraffe boy, "Naw, I m-Eeeeean there are lots and lots of them." Why would anyone care about a few missing blossoms after all?
Orpheus followed after his friend laughing a bit, "He's with Ligeia and he's quite responsible for his age Emer. I'm sure Kale is fine."

Emer looked over a slender shoulder, her short hair falling infront of one eye coyly. "I'm sure he is. I'm just paronied that I'm going to mess this up like so many other things."
Kale took his hand, rising to his hooved feet, his stance much steader, almsot completely stable. He looked relived that he wasn't going to get in trouble for eating the flowers "Okay, that's good."

Orpheus lifted an eyebrow, tempted to ask what that meant then shook his head and decided not to comment. Women, who understood them after all aside from other women?
Ligeia reached over to pick a pretty blue colored flower and held it out to Kale, "H-Eeeere you go. No worry ok?" He said, smiling for Kale, it was had to tell from his size that Kale was young but one could easily tell from the way that he acted that he was. And Ligeia felt the need to look after him.

The tightness in Emer's chest easied when she went a few feet past the blanket and heard the two boys talking. She sighed softly in relife as she moved some branches of a willow tree to see them. Slender fingers combing threw her short silken hair as she watched them quitely from the side.
Kale accpeted the bloom with a look of delight on his face, immedatelly sitting back down, crossing his legs in front of him. Immedtly he begain to devor the pretty blue flower. "Oooooo." He mummred softly, his eyes glittering with joy. The snap of the a twig drew his attion, looking up he smiled and waved. "Hi Momma!"
Emer smiled softly, waving back as she watched the two of them. Crossing her arms she leaned agaisnt the trunk of a nerby tree to watch them.

"You two having fun?" Orpheus asked of them, he always could deal better with kids then he could with women, he felt so confused about what he was supposed to do with them. Kids on the other hand were far easier to deal with, no doubt why he was a good father but not to good a partner or boyfriend.
Ligeia nodded, "Kal-Eeeee wanted a snack." He said, smiling at his father.
"Snack? Ahhh." He saw the places where the flowers had been plucked and a stray petal on Kale's lips, "Enjoy. There are lots of them around." He told him, smiling. All of the plants in the place were safe to be eaten just in case of herbavoirs he had seen to that.

Kale nodded vigrouesly when Orpheus asked his question smiling happily up at the two adultes. Rasing a slender spotted arm he whipped some of the bits of petals off of his mouth. He giggling as he rocked back and forth where he sat in the soft grass. His slender fingers wrapped around his shins as he moved. "Ligeia showed me pictures of dragons."
Emer's smile widened as she crouched low to the ground so she was more on thier level. "Did he now? What else have you done?" She could see why Orpheus liked being a father so much.
Kale rolled onto his back, his gangly body tangling for a moment before he straightening out after a moment looking up into the trees and up at the glass roof. "He showed me the pretty flowers, they tast yummy!"

"Sounds like quite a lot of fun." Orpheus said then looked to his son, "Thank you for looking after him while I spoke with Miss Emer." He told him, ruffling his hair.
Ligeia have a happy screeing sound then nodded, "Didn't mind. I like Kale." He told his father, Kale was very nice and cute that and he hadn't been all that difficult to take care of in the least since he had just wanted to look at the book first then get a snack.
Orpheus nodded then looked at Emer, "Want to drift back to my rooms? I can get all of us something to eat that will fit our particular tastes." He offered.

Kale slowly found his way to a sitting postion again, though his back was to the group. Craining his long neck, he looked back at them over his shoulder, "Momma? Is he talking about food? Becuse I'm hungery. My tummy is making funny sounds." He pointed at his belly, pressing it in a bit.
Emer chuckled, srugging her slender shoulders, "I quess that's a yes. Sure Orphues, dinner sounds good." She rose back up to her feet, offering her hand to her son. The boy took her hand and climbed slowly to his feet, turning around to face the others, his tail whipping back and forth excitedly.

Orpheus gave a little laugh and then took Ligeia's hand and gave a tug and the boy flapped and easily landed so that he was sitting on his father's shoulder and Orpheus looked to Emer, "Alright. I will lead the way and we will get a move on." He said, smiling.
Ligeia smiled down at Kale, then looked to where they were heading, off to dinner with his new friend! Yay!

Emer pulled Kale a little closer as they walked into Orphues and Ligiea's aprtment. Ligiea's toys scattred all over the floor, books, drawing paper and crayons. On chairs tables and counters looked to be all of Orphues's things, paper's to be graded, more intense books and random other things. She looked around and chuckled softly. "You haven't changed a bit. And I see you are teaching Ligea your bad habits."
The clutter made the neat freak twitch, and she ideally wondered if that was why she took so long to unpack her things. At least there was minmule chance for clutter when you lived out of boxes.
Kale looked around, streaching his neck as he spotteed a plushie dragon that looked like it might be fun to play with. But he hung his head a little when emer pulled him closer so he wouldn't go off and messing up the piles of stuff.
