Hufflepuff Capricorns are extraordinarily hard workers. Their sense of duty is strong, and they have enough discipline to manage not just themselves, but a whole army of people if needs be. They take joy in being useful to other people, so are often quite helpful whether as lab partners or in their chosen careers (often in the Ministry of Magic). However, because they also make good leaders and want to get ahead in the world due to having more ambition than the average Hufflepuff, they tend to get selected for positions of authority, where they soon make themselves indispensable. They're good at organizing things. Hogwarts should always have a Hufflepuff Capricorn somewhere on the administration, to make sure all affairs are actually in order (all those head-in-the-clouds creative types on the faculty; good heavens, where would Hogwarts be if there was no way of balancing them with down to earth perspective?)

Aeron came from a long line of Hogwarts Alumni though unlike most families, they had a wide array of talents and personalities, each of the four houses displayed in their bloodline. As his first day of school drew closer, the relatives bickered and bet pleasantly amongst themselves which house he would be sorted into.

His mother, a proud Ravenclaw held firm to her belief that her quiet son would display his inner genius and earn himself a position among her houses glorious Bronze and Blue.

His father on the other hand was a Gryffindor, a bold Quidditch keeper in his day who knew his son's strength of character, while not outwardly evident now, would be seen and deemed worthy of the Lion's Crimson and Gold.

His Grandfather Olav was a Slytherin and while he saw little of his house in the young lad, by default he claimed the child would find his place within the sacred tunnels decorated in Silver and Green.

Gammie Lara didn't join in the betting, she just took Aeron aside and assured him that no matter where he ended up, she and the rest of his family would of course be proud of him. He was a good lad and would be able to find happiness no matter where he found himself in life. He shared the gentle and adaptable nature that had placed her in Hufflepuff.

Aeron himself didn't worry to much about it. He was Hogwarts bound! Didn't that matter more than what house he found himself in? They would all be learning the same lessons, given the same opportunities for success. Their futures would only be decided by the choices they made, not those made for them.

As his name was called he calmly approached the stool, glad to know that the whole debate would be over in a matter of seconds. The Hat didn't even need the seconds it sat in silence upon his head, from the moment it's trailing bands had grazed the child's head he knew the boy was bound for... "HUFFLEPUFF"

Gammie Lara was right, he would be happy wherever he ended up.
