Echo laughed it off, good-natured as always, and accepted the invitation. Everyone finally seemed relaxed, until a sneeze came from the other room. The tension quickly returned and Kitsune's roommates all muttered excuses and dispersed. "Leb," she said nervously, "there's just one more Noodle I want to you meet." Lebbaeus could meet Lupus later, she knew he would never show himself to a stranger during the day anyway. Koi led Leb into the living room, but the Noodle was nowhere to be seen. She almost became frantic until there was a small giggle from behind the couch. "Ariaki, come out here, be polite and say 'hello'. This is Lebbaeus, a very good friend of mine." The kit did exactly what she didn't want, she crept around back and tackled Leb to the ground. "I gottcha!" Ariaki laughed and rolled off of him. "You guys didn't even see me!" That was the last straw."Ariaki Koi, sit still and stop being so rude!" If he hadn't figured it out before by the colors and the markings, he knew it now. Ariaki, was KitsuneKoi's daughter.

Lebbaeus followed his best friend into the other room with ease. He glanced around the room; it was kept fairly neat, neater than he could keep it anyway. He heard a giggle and raised an eyebrow at Kitsune but she just looked nervous as she glanced frantically around the room. He tensed up when he heard the noise again, this time closer to him. Hackles starting to rise, he spun around just as a small colorful Noodle pounced on him. He stumbled a bit but didn’t fall down. "What the –" he stopped when he saw the Noodle. She was full of energy bouncing around despite Koi telling her to sit still. Her markings were none like Lebbaeus had ever seen but her coloring…her coloring Lebbaeus new all too well. He looked up at Kitsune who was staring at the floor embarrassed. "Koi…is this…your kid?" he asked quietly, half accusing and half shocked. If anyone was going to have a kid of these two friends Lebbaeus always thought it would be him. Especially with his…reputation… with the ladies. But Koi? A mother? Who was the other parent? He sat down slowly staring blankly at the wall behind his friend and her offspring.

Kitsune shook her head and blinked hard, "Yes, Leb. This is my daughter...her-her brother is with his mother." She didn't want to say more than she had to. She gave herself a firm shake, she had nothing to be ashamed of. She was proud to have such a beautiful daughter and a handsome son. Koi rolled her shoulders and looked him square in the face. "I should invite my lifemate over sometime so the two of you can meet." Ariaki, who had been sitting very still through the few moments of silence, jumped up. "We're gonna have Mommy and Katsumi over? Yay!" The kit leapt up and began jumping on the furniture, but this time Kitsune didn't bother to tell her to stop. She was too busy watching her best friend, waiting for his reaction.
