"Yesss... this is true. If that had happened I might not have been able to hold back on the fire breath," Jericho said, a little on the sheepish side really. He chuckled nervously at the thought. Yeah, he almost completely torched Shehk and her room.

"I.. will definitely be sure to give a heads up call." he said before looking around. Even without the fire, he had still made a mess, "I should.. probably help you clean this up."

Shehk seemed just as nervous about that fire-breath thought. She could handle being set up in flames once or twice - she'd just respawn in the Nurse's office. The rest of the building, however.... The mental image wasn't very pleasant. Still, it seemed like Jericho was calming down - the 'we' was gone. If nothing else, it was easy enough to establish Jericho's state of mind when he spoke.

Kinda.

"I'd just hate for it to be...less than helpful for you to be here when you need me if the fog is a problem." she frowned, finally standing up to stretch before giving her room a glance over. "Mmmm, only if you want to." she answered as she began to pick up some of her scattered possessions.

"It.. was kinda my fault and all," he said before beginning to move around to pick up this and that. Jericho didn't know where everything was supposed to go, but he could at least pile things up or get them together so that Shehk could sort them more easily.

'I just kind of wish I was in more control of this... issue. " he sighed. During the calm times, it wasn't too bad. The voices were persistent as usual, but he was able to think with relative clarity at the least. Unlike when it was acting up. Then it was pretty much all hell broke loose.

And everything he did sounded like it was a good idea to him at that time.

"I don't blame you for it, though." Shehk sighed, stacking some things onto her desk. She felt like she'd said that to him a lot lately; 'I don't blame you' or 'I'm not mad at you' or 'I don't hate you for it'. Those sorts of things had just begun to litter her vocabulary and for a moment she lingered at her desk, frowning at the stack of letters.

When Jericho pipped up again, she looked to him, the frown still there. She couldn't even begin to fathom how it felt to be inside of his head with all of this going on either. She knew only the bare minimum of what was going on, and part of her was afraid to ask what had happened to begin with. They hadn't just started losing their color overnight.

"Does it scare you...?"

It scared her. She had an entire picture painted in her head of what was possible, and it caused her to reach back to touch her shoulder, feeling the fabric of her shirt rub against the scar that pulled against her back.

Jericho didn't answer right away, though he stopped what he was doing.

"Yes," he admitted quietly before continuing to scoop up some papers. As much as he didn't like it, he was definitely scared. He knew Riley was too. But.. they really had to try to make sure their fears didn't get the best of them. They had to keep going otherwise the Insanity was going to consume them for sure.

To be honest, if he'd said no, Shehk wouldn't have believed him. As much as he was strong - stronger than she was by any means - to not be afraid in the face of this would have been... Even Red had been afraid in the end. But it was depressing to think about and she pushed that out of her mind - or to whatever dark corner it would steep in.

"...." she opened her mouth to say something then closed it again, sighing. "... You're going to get better." was all she could manage, organizing what of her stuff had been put back onto her desk to where it should have been to begin with.

There was another period of silence as Jericho focused on picking up the papers and other bits of things he had scattered when he was defogging the room with his wings.

".. Of course," he said after a time. It was mostly hope. But Riley had said they were going to get past this. He had to believe in it, despite the odds it seemed to present.

Once he had a nice little stack, he made his way back over to the undead, offering it to her so that she could put them where she wanted the things.

Shehk took the stack from him and set it on her desk as well, not quite ready to go through it yet. There was a certain tension that seemed to linger all of a sudden and she didn't like it. She knew it wasn't intentional, but she still didn't like it happening. "Good. Amityville wouldn't be the same without you." Just like it wasn't the same as it had been before...

At least it hadn't been to her.

"Who else would give my room a safety check?" she joked, trying to lighten the mood just a little bit.

"Well.. it'd be quieter," Jericho said with a weak grin. After all, if there was someone yelling in an area, there was a decent chance that it'd be him. There was... a reason why he hadn't tried the stealth trials at all. He was far too noisy for that.

"Speaking of, it's a good thing you weren't uh.. harboring humans in here. That would be a pretty big problem."
PostPosted: Thu Feb 23, 2012 4:06 pm

Shehk frowned. "Quieter isn't always better, though." she countered. Sometimes it was alright, but then there were times when it was just unsettling. In her mind, Shehk had deemed quieter in this case wouldn't be a positive for her.

"Oh man, if there were humans in here, I'd question my nose's strength." the Pricolici said, looking at her room with a laugh. "Especially since it's that damn human scent that got me all worked up and blood hungry to begin with." Seriously. Caelius had smelled delicious to her and his presence at the Maul for Christmas had only made things worse.

Jericho knew that Shehk could pick up on the golem scent but he hadn't quite realized that she was also familiar with how the humans themselves smelled. That was pretty useful actually. It'd allow her to differentiate a hunter from a reaper, which.. at first glance was not easy.

"I do have to wonder what charred human would taste like," he mused. Either they were delicious, or tasted like crap. It was hard to say what they would be exactly.
PostPosted: Thu Feb 23, 2012 4:46 pm

"Mmmm, probably pretty good. I mean, if the small of a raw one means anything? Yeah." She tapped her nose. "They smell delicious." The hunter who had grabbed her had for sure been a bonafide human. He didn't smell like earth, and he hadn't smelled like FEAR either. Blood, flesh, delicious. The thought of it nearly had her working herself into that craving tizzy again.

She'd had enough blood in the last week to stave that off for a while, though. Almost nervously, Shehk looked at Jericho's neck to see how that bite was healing - she hadn't exactly been able to be gentle with him.

"Think it'd be frowned upon to eat one, though." she added sadly. Unless they just...ate one of them on their island and then ran off.

Mmm. That did sound pretty good. Jericho wondered if he'd be able to chomp one in half in his true form at some point. Get a tasty meal and take down a hunter. Two birds. One stone.

"Well. We're not even allowed to kill humans normally," he stated, "Not without a license at least... which I doubt any of us have. But one jacking law isn't going to stop me from tearing those damn hunters apart."
PostPosted: Thu Feb 23, 2012 5:33 pm

"How do you think they monitor that sort of thing, though?" Shehk leaned back onto her desk, giving Jericho a questioning look. "Like, I've never b- well, lies. I've been to the Human World. But like, once there, how do you think they check up to make sure you haven't been killing humans or whatever?" it was something to consider.

Because if you were killing the hunters on their own island, how would they know?

"I can't imagine they're able to watch everybody, and as it stands, the hunters are a problem for everybody. Not that they believe it..." she frowned.

That was a good questions. How DO they keep track of that? Maybe the boogeys or some other agency kept some people in the human world to pick up on strange dealings. While he didn't know a whole lot, finding a half eaten body was probably not a normal death for humans.

Or was it?

Hm.

"I have no idea how they keep track of it. But regardless it won't stop me. I'm not about to go rampaging in the human world but I want those hunters dead."
