"I won't lie, they really do," he admitted with a laugh. "It's a good thing they grow back, because I'm always breaking them! For all the trouble they are, they don't serve much purpose - I can't fly. They're only good for eating, really."

Rio casually snapped off the pointed end of a pinion to offer to the aoide. "Would you like some?"

Eating? How....odd. She had never heard of anyone's wings being edible before and was going to say as much. Instead she ended up laying there blinking owlishly at him for a moment, mouth open as if to speak when he deliberately broke off a piece of a wing and offered her some. Really dignified, kitten. "Uhm...sure?"

"I know, it's kind of weird, isn't it?" Rio, who was by now very familiar with that look, grinned at Asherah's reaction. "But they're candy. It tastes like raspberry."

"Hn. Interesting." Asherah gingerly plucked the offered piece of candy wing from Rio's hand and gave it a tentative lick. She tended to be a little wary of sweets, living with who she did, as they often ended up tasting not quite as one expected. This however did taste like raspberry, just like he said it would. "Not bad." She smiled shyly back at him.

Rio's grin softened into a smile, and he snapped a piece off the other wings so that they'd 'match' again. Having broken wings looked slightly less disreputable when they were at least broken somewhat evenly. "I'm glad you approve."

"So your goddess, who is she trying to woo? Or is it a secret?"

Telling Love was safe, right? Asherah shrugged. She wasn't sure how much of a secret it was. "I suppose you can be trusted with such knowledge...given she could probably use your help." The catgirl nibbled a bit on the candy again before continuing. "Worldshield." The Dragon King was far better suited to her than that man had been. That much was for sure.

"You think so?" Rio looked positively delighted that someone might need his help. He loved helping! He was going to have to find Asherah's mistress sometime, and get details.

"Worldshield..." The katta-god looked deep in thought for a minute, while he put together little fragments of what he knew. "Your lady, she's Tien, isn't she?"

Asherah watched his expression as everything just sort of seemed to 'click'. "Indeed, you know her then?" It stood to reason he did, after all her mistress didn't tend to give out her name freely. She finished the last little bit of candy he had given her. Love didn't strike the catgirl as someone Tien would talk to first, perhaps he had known her host then?

"We've met, but only briefly, I'm afraid. I was better-acquainted with Morgan - she spoke to me about Crispin, once." He'd still never met the Dragon King the boy had become, which was almost frustrating, in a way. He'd seen him all of twice, at the ritual and at the restoration of the sky, and besides that had only ever heard of him. One of these days, he was going to have to track him down, if for no other reason than just to say he'd finally met him.

So it had been the girl, then. "He seems a good man from what time I spent around him; granted I did not know his predecessor, but he seems to fill his station well. He is very impressive, some might find it a little intimidating." She laughed a little at that, Tien Lung wasn't the 'big scary dragon' he pretended to be sometimes.

"I never met his host," Which she assumed was the Crispin he spoke of, "and barely knew my lady's before she was taken." There was no real sadness in her tone, she had no special fondness for the girl who had been Trickery's host. Her death was just an event that passed and had given her mistress back to her. She was grateful to the girl for that much.

"I met his host once - or my host met his, is the more accurate way to put it - but I have yet to meet the dragon himself." Rio chuckled when Asherah described him as 'intimidating' to some. "I think being impressive and intimidating is probably inherent to dragons, like most things that could eat you if they wanted."

She nodded in agreement. The thought bringing Cerberus to mind, but then again that dog was too easy to bribe. "Probably true." She turned over onto her back, now watching him upside down from her makeshift pillow bed. "So was it the sun that brought you out today, Rio, or am I keeping you from an errand of some sort?"

"Not at all," he assured her with a purr and a smile, leaning forward to look at her from above, now that she was upside-down. "I quite like being distracted, as it happens."

Asherah stretched lazily, arms coming up to rest behind her head, not really aware of just what sort of view she was providing. Given her attire, which seemed to leave little to the imagination, he could get a pretty good view if he decided to lean over far enough. She dressed as Tien often did: comfortable bodice with a blouse of some sort underneath (which happened to be a nice red today), tight leggings and open toed boots that she had found so her claws didn't punch holes into them.

She smiled up at him. "I'm glad then. The last thing I would want to be doing is be keeping a god from their business."

Rio most certainly appreciated the view Asherah was giving him, albeit without realizing she was, though he didn't stare outright. That would have been rude. And obvious. His expression was that of a pleased feline, though, and his wings flared out behind him as he leaned back again. "On the contrary, one could make the point that enjoying the company of a beautiful woman is part of my...business."
