The false white Pidgey spread her wings open wide, using the appendages almost like her arms as a ditto. They waved up and down slightly, causing the feathers to seemingly tremble a bit as she did such.

With her version of "waving her arms about" the Pokemon enthusiastically began to investigate what was going on. "Pidgey gee gee pidge!" In little bird hops, she hopped closer, until she noticed a pout facing her direction. Being the open book she was, she quite plainly asked the Buneary if something was wrong. "Gee pidgey gee gee?" She tilted her head slightly as she looked over the buneary with her red eyes. At least in this form she could make out that this Pokemon was a Buneary. She still would have preferred to be a butterfree at the moment, but there weren't all that many in the area, which meant she'd have to deal with this sort of eyesight for now.

"Eh? Is that so?" Though the man didn't completely agree with Rosie about people not wanting to feel alone, he understood her main point and chose not to burst her optimistic bubble. Even if someone had an opposing opinion, sometimes certain things just had to be learned through experience.

For now, though, he thought the young lady was better off with her blissful view of the world. Her pokemon must have been on a similar level of real life experience, because most seemed to agree with their trainer quite energetically. Either that, or they were just going with her because she was, after all, their master.

Regarding Rosie carefully, Izaya enjoyed her bright-eyed expression, basking in the warmth she radiated. Most of the Rockets he'd met had only exuded cold auras if not indifference, but this was quite a change of pace. Maybe all the trainers would be more fun to hang around if they were anywhere as merry as Rosie.

The girl had mentioned something about his sure-footedness. "Mm?" He blinked before realizing what she had been referring to. So, it seemed he hadn't been the only observant one. Best not to underestimate the lady, especially as Faleen's younger sister. "Ah, so observant! I'm flattered you were paying such close attention to me," he giggled.

"I don't do anything so refined as ballet, I'm afraid, but I've developed a little of what they call parkour over the years out of necessity. It's also known as freelance running. Like I said; nothing really refined. Just improvisation overcoming obstacles that the city has to offer." Dropping his gaze back down to the dollar-sized papers Rosie had been writing on earlier, her gestured toward them. "I'm sorry, I interrupted you while you were in the middle of writing these. Can I help you finish them to make up for it?"

Before Rosie had a chance to answer, however, a series of distracting events drew their attention away from each other. Izaya's grip tightened slightly around Rosie's hand when he noticed the brunette girl run up to them, calling out the blonde's name. Turning his head, he realized he had seen the young woman several times before - not just around Rosie, but before he had joined Team Rocket. She must have been a resident of Camphoreon; one of the more wealthy ones, by the looks of it. Perhaps he would recall more about her family if he discovered her surname.

The new trainer's approach did more than just alert Izaya to her presence, however. He was suddenly reminded that he and Rosie were in a very public place and that any number of people could have recognized either one of them. He felt an intense pair of eyes on his back and turned just in time to witness a head of red hair departing. A smirk lifted the corner of his mouth.

Well, at least it's not Shizuo. And it's good for him to spend some time out and about today. I wonder if he's looking for Natalia. Though he chose not to call out to the irritable young man, Izaya had a feeling that wouldn't be the last time they'd encounter each other that day.

With his gaze wandering from Asch, it happened to drift upon a couple who seemed to have been headed toward Rosie and her pokemon as well. Though the informant had been preoccupied with his new acquaintance, he hadn't been quite oblivious to the appearance of the pink-scarfed, white Pidgey that had settled itself near Rosie's strange, green Charmander. It was very likely that the white pokemon belonged to the mysterious, bundled-up woman. And that blonde man had most certainly been at Sandalwood for the contest.

This should be exciting... Izaya thought as he realized the large potential that the gathering of individuals had for a wide variety of things. And on what better day than today? The city of Camphoreon certainly seemed to be enjoying itself.

He loosened his hold on Rosie's hand, allowing her to go to hug her high-heeled friend if she so chose. As for himself, Orihara merely smiled politely as the new girl and her pokemon headed toward them.

Seeing the young woman smile at him and determining that she was all right with his own two eyes, Guy returned the smile in kind. She seemed to be a very polite and well-mannered young lady - thank goodness for that - and first impressions labeled her as someone very considerate. "All right," he said, "I just wanted to make sure. I couldn't possibly leave anyone in distress on Valentine's Day, could I?" He chuckled jokingly.

"Ah yes, I know the type," Guy remarked in regards to the woman's statement of her friendly Pokemon. When she mentioned his own Pokemon, Guy blinked in surprise at the sudden question, then beamed. He gestured towards Anon first. "That's Anonymes, a Lampent. He's very friendly, as well." He then gestured towards Oki on his other side. "And this is Oki, a Zoroark. He's not very talkative, but he's very nice."

As Anonymes was introduced by his master, the Lampent seemed to smile and made an elaborate swooping bow towards the young human girl in greeting. This human seemed to be very nice, indeed! She looked mysterious and cool and very, very pretty! Anon wasn't sure why she was wearing all of those dark clothes, but he didn't mind. He was just happy to meet her! She was friendly and polite, and she was a lady. All ladies had to be treated with respect.

Suddenly, a greeting and a drop from the sky heralded the arrival of a very familiar Pikachu on Anon's head. Anonymes flailed his arms in shock for a moment before realizing that the Pikachu was his dear friend Kiss Kiss. Delighted, Anon happily returned the hug. ["Miss Kiss Kiss! Hi!"] He was definitely glad to see Miss Kiss Kiss! She was so kind and sweet, just like Miss Rosie! And if Miss Kiss was here, that meant that Miss Rosie was here, too! Oh, huzzah! Suddenly remembering his manners, Anon held out his pink rose and offered it to Miss Kiss. ["Here, Miss Kiss Kiss! Will you be my Valentine?"]

Guy was just as surprised as Anon was to see Kiss Kiss, but he was no less happy. "Hi there, Kiss Kiss," he said to her in greeting. "Is Miss Rosie around here somewhere?"

Meanwhile, during all of this, Oki merely stood idly by at Sir Guy's side. He wasn't exactly thrilled to be here talking and mingling. He would much rather be out training or fighting. He had to remain vigilant, he knew. As Sir Guy introduced him, Oki folded one arm behind his back, placed the other over his heart, and bent slightly at the waist in a small, formal bow to the human girl. At Kiss Kiss's arrival, Oki did nothing more than nod to acknowledge her.

On a bench on the edge of the park sat a lone boy with blonde hair. Even though it was Valentine's Day he couldn't help but feel especially alone. Emil was quiet with downcast green eyes staring at his feet. In his arms was a little Igglybuff with big bright green eyes and black dipped stubby limbs.

Next to him sat a pudgy shiny Munchlax who looked absolutely miserable. Nazdrovie was hungry! His stomach protested loudly and paws patted it as if to console his aching tummy. Oh if only there was some food around.

Emil and his Pokemon just watched as the people walked by, too busy in their own routines to even take noticed of them.

Opal

When Pop was addressed, the Buneary let out an annoyed "HUMPH" in the form of a "BUN"
Her short arms, both with a brightly polish band of gold around each of them crossed over her chest.
standing tall, she didn't take her eyes off of the Pidgey as she popped her ears out in turn, almost in a challenging gesture.

Melody sighed, reaching a larger arm out to shove lightly at the Buneary, causing the weaker pokemon to tumble backwards in surprise. Afterwards the green Charmeleon laughed, and waved a dismissive claw at the Buneary, offering a more casual, and cheerful greeting toward the Pidgey.

Izaya

She just smiled in reply, with a single nod. She of coarse understood that not everyone felt the same way, but really that's something she respected about people.
Everyone had their own way of feeling, everyone had something unique, special, and lovely about them.
She could tell he was older then her... if she had to guess, maybe by a couple of years, or a bit more. She was sure he had his own opinion, and his own reasons for them.
She thought it was very sweet that he listened to her sugary comment though.

When he mentioned being flattered that she payed attention to him she couldn't help but giggle with him. "Its so full of life, its hard not to notice" She replied. "I like the way you handle yourself, its very..." she paused to think of an appropriate word. "Unique, but in a good way~ like you're free, liberated."
It was of coarse why she though he might be in dance.

But he disproved her theory of dance however, instead he brought up something she didn't expect to hear. Her eyes widened, mouth opening softly in a look both surprised and impressed. "I've only ever heard of Freestyle running before, I've never met someone who knew it! Wow! I bet you really have to be quick on your feet for that." She grinned with a light chuckle.

He brought his attention downward, to where she had the small pile of papers and origami hears with written names on them. Her gaze followed, but before she could answer his kind offer, She had her attention snagged away by her dear friend calling out to her.

For a moment Rosie felt Nakura's fingers close a little tighter around her hand after she had called out the greeting to her friend.
this caused her to glance at his hand, then up at him, blinking a couple of times before a gentle smile spread over her lips, joined with a slight blush.
"I'll introduce you to one of my dearest friends." She told him.
she did take the opportunity when he loosened her hand to take a few steps onto the grass, holding her arms out for Sera , either to take the other girls hands, or offer a hug.

Anon and Guy

Kiss Kiss giggled when her actions startled Anonymes. but soon found a rose being handed up to her.
Her eyes lip up her face breaking into a wide smile "chaaaa!"
she nodded happily, reaching out with both paws to take the rose and hug the bulb to her body.

Guy greeted her as well, and the Pikachu smiled up at him. nodding to confirm his question, and leaned forward to point over at where Rosie was
"... Pika?" her ears flicked up though when she saw that her trainer wasn't alone. There was a strange man standing with her.

Natalia walked down the park pathway with a small box in one hand and a bag in the other. She wore a white dress that had a wide pink ribbon around her middle that tired in a bow in the back, some slim strapped high heels(~~~~), her normal white gloves but with pink ribbons tied around her wrists and a white, pink and red pearl choker with a heart falling from it(~~~~). There was a hopeful smile on her face as the days cheerfulness had worked it's magic on her just as many others with in and with out the city.

Her green eyes moved from face to face in the park, looking for any of her friends or Asch. She hoped he would show up in the city today so she could give him his present from her(a custom ordered chocolate figurine, it was safer that way...) but she wouldn't mind being able to give Luke, Guy or Rosie theirs first since that could mean that the noble woman could possibly convince Asch to spend more time with her.

~*~*~

Why did he promise to at least somewhat dress up for valentines day? It wasn't even that special to Shizuo since only a very small, count on one hand and have left over small, amount of people had ever been given anything from him in the past. He had on a regular pair of his black dress pants, his normal shoes, a white shirt that had a small pocket with a small red rose in it, a pink bow tie and was currently carrying one of his normal black jackets over his right shoulder. He still had his normal sunglasses as well and was currently trying to his his slightly annoyed look behind them, trying and not fully succeeding.

At the moment he was walking through the people with Kasuka beside him and a chattering Maiko on his head. Though what the Spinarak was going on about he had no clue.

Thinking he'd gotten by unnoticed, Asch meandered away from Rosie and the people that were surrounding her, especially Izaya. He'd managed to catch a glimpse of Guy as well, and he knew it was better to avoid him as well. Especially considering the last time they had met. Instead, he made his way towards the water, stopping short of the walk along the harbor to slump down in a bench next to a giant oak tree. The bench was currently unoccupied, thus the red head had the whole thing to himself. With a sigh, he slouched in the chair and rested both arms along the back, tilting his head up to stare at the branches above him. His green eyes looking a bit vacant as Asch let his thoughts wander. The cool ocean breeze tousled his now short hair, and he found himself wishing that it were long again. This led to thoughts of bitter resentment for the fool dressed in white and pink that was currently keeping company with Rosie.

---

Emil stared as people passed him by. Both ladies and men dressed in festive and impressive outfits. A lady with a pretty white and pink dress passed by, looking as if she was seeking someone. Then a strange and almost frightening looking man. The blonde boy shrunk back as much as he could while sitting down, hoping to go unnoticed by the latter. He then sighed and hung his head again. "What am I even doing here?" he asked himself, while Nazdrovie just yawned and decided he was bored.. and hungry.

While Emil was wallowing in his own misery, the Munchlax decided to take the opportunity to wander off. He smelled candies... particularly coming from that lady that just passed. He waddled after her, hoping to catch up with Natalia and perhaps get some free handouts.

There was way too much pink in this plaza.

Okay, so it wasn't much of a plaza, but a park filled with trees and bushes and other boring things. Nature was okay when it wasn't trying to destroy everything you ever cared about, but Elle was more interested in the people who had gathered here. She still hadn't met many people yet, and she still felt painfully new in Kodo. Which was why she was here, of course.

And like many of the other girls, she had dressed up for the occasion. But unlike the others, there was no pink or chiffon to be seen gracing her figure. Oh, no. Valentine's Day called for only one thing: a sleek, fiery red satin knockout of a dress. A sleeveless off the shoulder number, it hugged her frame like a glove and revealed plenty of cream and roses skin. The fabric draped down a little past her knees, a slit running up one side to her thigh. It was supposedly in fashion, but Elle just loved the way the satin shimmered.

Besides, she never did anything halfway. And Valentine's Day wasn't some chastity ball. She swirled into that park with confidence and grace, wondering what sort of people she'd find there, and hoping there'd be room for a flashy single gal amid all the "happy couples" she just knew were hiding in every corner.

The bundled up girl giggled at the young man's joke. "Well, I am certain it would take a lot more work to distress me on Valentine's Day." Especially with her constant companion, Opal. Once her current companion started with introductions, the girl noticed something that they both had seemed to forget. However, she waited until after getting the introductions to the various Pokemon to point anything out. Offering the two Pokemon a smile, she let the two know she appreciated their greetings. "It is a pleasure to meet you both, Anonymes and Oki."

However, without pause, she then mentioned "...it is nice that I know your Pokemon's names... but it would also be nice to know yours as well. Mine is Ivory Woods..." She paused as she heard mention of some familiar names, but didn't let that interrupt her train of thought.

"And the white Pokemon over there is Opal..." With a flick of her gloved hand, she gestured towards where the false-pidgey had flown off to. It was just easier to call Opal a "White Pokemon" instead of a white whatever-she-was-at-the-moment, since she had this tendency to transform randomly. She was still quite tell-tale, even after any transformation.

Opal had not meant to cause any issues. Yet she had a Buneary (if she was seeing it right) who seemed quite adamant about being upset at her. It was odd to see the larger Pokemon seemingly shoo the smaller one out of the way. Curiously, the Pidgey hopped over in a nearly skittish manner towards the Buneary. However, mid-hop, she rather suddenly seemed to shift forms. One moment she was a Pidgey.

User Image The next moment she was a Buneary. Unfortunately, such a simple action forfeited her better eyesight for a much poorer one. Making her way to the shiny Pokemon's side, the false Buneary attempted to help the other get back to her feet. As she tried to put her short stubby paws behind the Pokemon's shoulders, she apologized profusely with several "Bun buneary bun bun!" However, as she did such, one of her ears perked up, and her red eyes seemed to glance to another direction.

"...bun?"

Someone was sad. Momentarily she paused from her task to try and locate the source, but such efforts were in vain at the moment. As she continued to tend to her task with the seemingly grumpy buneary, she casually asked the Charmelon if she'd be willing to accompany her somewhere. "Buneary neary bun bun neary?"

Flattered by Rosie's compliments, Nakura would have happily gushed a few of his own, but he only had time to nod before the young teenager was distracted by her friend. He was somewhat glad of it too; it would have been a pain to explain about why he had to be so quick on his feet with his thoughts straying to a certain, infuriating neanderthal.

When she offered to introduce him, the black-haired man beamed brighter than before, saying, "I'd like that." He waited patiently for Rosie and Serafina to acknowledge each other first, though; without his interference. However, during those few, short seconds, the observant info-gatherer caught sight of a name on one of the little, origami hearts that Rosie had previously been writing on.

Ignoring Rosie's pokemon and the albino newcomer, the man carefully dropped to a knee on the fabric that was spread out, making sure not to stain his white pants with the grass. He picked up the heart and examined it closely. His brows furrowed and his eyes narrowed. The man's ever-so-cheerful smile turned down in a definitive frown.

Without another thought, he ripped the delicate paper up until it was teeny, tiny shreds of pink and tossed them over his shoulder like paper flower petals. Dusting off his hands, he glanced at his possible witnesses, trying to determine whether or not any of them would be likely to rat him out. Eh...? Wasn't that white one a pidgey just now...? He blinked. I'm sure it was. It flew over here. Curious, he scooted a little closer to observe the peculiar group of conversing pocket monsters. His gaze wandered over to the woman talking to Guy who was bundled up from head to toe. Just who was she...? It didn't take an info-broker to see she was someone suspicious.

But damn was that a lot of pink. It somehow made Luke think of Mieu, given the color's connotations with innocence and childish behavior, though the Flareon remained in his luxury ball for now. It was a bit crowded and noisy, and though the boy trusted his pokemon to stay near his side, he didn't particularly feel like exerting the effort to keep an eye on the energetic fire-type. Instead, he wandered the festive streets by himself. He knew Rosie and Guy and Natalia were probably around somewhere, and it was boring to walk around such a crowded place alone...
PostPosted: Tue Feb 14, 2012 7:24 pm

She didn't know anyone here. Though that didn't surprise her, it meant she'd probably wind up leaning against a tree by her lonesome. Unless she went up and started randomly talking to someone. Which might not be a bad idea. But most everyone here was already talking with somebody--and there also seemed to be a shortage of men, which was really just tragic.

Elle wasn't going to just sit there like some wallflower, though. She strode out deeper into the park, looking for someone, anyone she knew. Surely someone would be here.

And then, out of nowhere, Elle stumbled upon a familiar face. "Hey there!" she called, grinning at a red mop of hair. "What are you doing out here anyway? I figured a party wouldn't exactly be your scene."

The sudden face in his space caused the young noble to reel backwards several steps, his hand raising but not quite reaching the hilt of his sword before the initial surprise died down. Elle would receive a highly suspicious tone and even more suspicious glare in response, "Do I know you?"
PostPosted: Tue Feb 14, 2012 8:11 pm

Elle stared, dumbfounded, as this person--who she could have SWORN was Asch--glared at her reproachfully. "But...you know me...I mean, I just saw you! In the infirmary, moping about your unfortunate haircut--which really isn't that bad, you know. Unless you have a twin somewhere--but that's not very likely, I mean who even has random twins running around?" She frowned, her turquoise eyes mildly angry. "If this is some sort of joke, it's not funny."

"What the hell?! I cut my hair like a year ago!" And the last time he'd been in any kind of infirmary was even longer before that, unless one thought to count the brief visit to the hospital lobby after the Sandalwood contest disaster. At the mention of a possible lookalike, though, Luke's expression soured - perhaps increasing his resemblance to the individual for whom he was mistaken. "Oh, him? That thief?" his tone was surprisingly venomous, given his usual casual demeanor. The knowledge that the stranger had some connection to the mysterious Asch only increased Luke's suspicion further.
