Amalthea smiled, glad that she seemed to have made Akemi more optimistic in some way. It was a common concern, particularly for those not born into the low class. She might have guessed it was something she had worried about when she became a slave.. but she had been ridiculous. So ridiculous, she almost completely missed Horatio.
"You're welcome," she said, "It can be harder for lions like us, who did not start where we are now. I was not born here but I was raised here, it was one of the stories my father told me to cheer me up. I didn't believe him but this is how it turned out."

She looked over at Horatio with a smile.

Horatio smiled back at Amalthea, happy that she seemed better, and that his daughter seemed better too. Life was going well!
Akemi nodded. "Thank you. I am sure I can find something else to do, I've taken enough of your time today." She wasn't as bored now, but she felt sad and whistful for the future. Would she ever find a male that loved her so? She felt like looking, and that's what she was going to do now. Ask around for those that may need help, and see if that would strike up a conversation.

She politely exited, though her tail swish wasn't quite so polite. She was a female on a mission!

Horatio watched her leave, and exhaled. "She's a tough one. I wonder if the Great Lion placed her in Low Class to keep her under control."

She looked back to Akemi, nodding whens he took her leave and then she watched her go, even as Horatio sighed and commented on the situation. Amalthea smiled, she could tell there was more to Akemi than she had let on. Perhaps she had been feistier before she and Horatio had arrived here.
"Perhaps," she said, standing back up and nuzzling against her mate. It was nice to be reminded how lucky she was.
