Sar nodded and watched as the crocodile continued its attack on its prey. "It is very startling." He agreed. "I didn't think something that big and lumberous looking. So old and brittle looking would or could move so fast."
He felt kind of bad for it. After all it had only been thirsty. Maybe that thirst had made it stupid or reckless enough to drink at the river instead of finding a safer watering hole. Even the one that Mom and Dad took him and his siblings to. After all, the hunters weren't inclined to attack anything that slipped too close to the water's edge like the crocodile seemed to be.
"The beast of the crocodile?" Sar asked frowning at the scene. As bad as he felt for the beast, it had made a mistake, but the crocodile had been rather elegant for its size and shape and slow looking body. Quick and elegant. Sar kind of hoped he never had to witness a crocodile hunting again, but he wouldn't say something like that. It wouldn't be worthy of a brave lion.

It was also a little strange to wrap her head around the idea that something so massive could simply lurk between the waters of the river. She'd probably be more cautious around such things now, rivers with muddy waters. Fortunately, lions didn't really need to drink water as much as wildebeest did. "I wonder if they run fast on land." Tala mused out loud, before turning her attention to Sar and Tezcacoatl.
"Both of them." The snake said disdainfully. The wildebeest was now nearly dead, the crocodile had successfully dragged it deeper into the water, and had begun to spin, and snap, and tried to get a better grip. It would either drown soon, as it struggled to keep it's head over water, or another crocodile would probably come and help the other finish it off. "That is no proper way to make a kill." It hadn't even bitten a good spot!
Venom was much neater! But he supposed not everyone could be a venomous snake.
Tala disagreed with him, because in the end this wasn't entirely too different from lions hunting. Just... more water than usual. But she didn't really feel like arguing with Tezcacoatl, he could think whatever he wanted.

The crocodile was a totally new type of elegant in Sar's mind. A scary one. At the possiblity of it running on land, even half as quickly as it had stuck the beast made him suppress shivers that wanted to run wild up and down his spine. "Tala, I don't think we want to find that out. Crocodiles eat lions too. I don't think they care about what they eat as long as its meat."
Sar couldn't take his eyes away from the struggle. He'd seen the hunting plans of the lion hunters and wondered if the crocodiles had drawn up plans as well. Did they etch the details into te muddy banks of the river with they claws or which their tail? He wondered if they were drawn along the shore right now waiting for a crocodile to sweep it away as Sar had first accidentally done when he was pouncing Mural.
"I don't know if we should stay here much longer, Tala."

The idea of getting eaten by a crocodile was indeed an awful one, and she nodded. "Good point." Another crocodile had appeared, and it bit on to the wildebeest's head. She was certain this was over now, and she wondered if they would fight over the dead creature like she sometimes fought with her siblings. Uuugh, creepy.
"...Yeah, let's go." Tala said, glancing around to make sure they wouldn't be trampled by any wildebeest as they left the bush, then giving Sar a nudge as she passed by him and scurried out. Once they were a safer distance away, she stopped and glanced back. Tezcacoatl was more lazily following behind, but she supposed he wasn't afraid of crocodiles much. "That was still pretty cool, though!"

Sar blushed at Tala's nudged and he became resigned to figure out if he was ill or something because, really, he'd been blushing and all way too much around Tala. And he didn't want her thinking he was always sick or weird or something.
He left the minor safety of the bush and followed Tala to safer ground. Crocodiles weren't to be messed with, that was for sure. Sar wouldn't be able to examine their insides that was for sure. They were way too quick and lethal for that. If he wanted to learn more about them it would only be through watching them .
Smiling at Tala, he nodded in agreement. Despite everything they were pretty cool. And it made one great adventure while still keeping his promise to Uncle SImi.
