Marcus gave Otto a shrug. "If you want. That store looks filled with rabid wolves. It would probably be better to find one of the smaller stores and this being the mall that it is, you'll be fine." The card shop got another look as Molly spoke. "I need cards to send out to everybody, not to mention th party- And Jim? Ah, he must have been the senior hunter of pod duty then." He laughed. "Well, better than some other senior hunters." Two names were carefully left unsaid. Bix's teasing got a grin. "I'll be sure to get you a card Bix. A nice one that sings to you so you don't feel so alone." Holding an arm out for Molly, he figured to was just a day to relax somewhat and get away from the island. "Well Miss Molly, shall we go? I am sure Otto and Bix want to have some 'special time' together." Marcus was just going to exist to torment. Lucyal Safe to say they've moved to the store

Cass had finally gotten a good excuse to wear the hoodie Bix had gotten her for Christmas, the hood pulled up over her head as she went to head through the portal, almost seeming anxious to be without sunglasses as she passed through it and.... oh god, the Mall before Valentine's day seemed to be a mess. In fact, that should have brought her relief, to be out and about in a public setting by herself without some disguise on.
But the lack of disguise was probably why she was nervous about it all. She'd made a list (again) of what she needed to hit up for the holiday, a list of about 7 people this time. She double checked to make sure she hadn't missed anybody important before she deemed one important goal of this trip:
She was going to replace that Coffee Machine, dammit!
However, that would be at the end of her trip, first sh had to hit up something for Marcus and Bix and......Shoot....
The Intermediate Mist Trainee, while capable, looked to be at an utter loss of where she was supposed to even start at venturing around in a Mall, a small frown on her face.

"Make sure if it sings or talks that it has a sexy voice." He smirked a bit. He was getting better at accepting the insults from Marcus. He was learning to stand Marcus. When did that happen? As they entered the store there were more old ladies than young ones. He gravitated towards the aisle with stuffed animals who were valentine themed. He couldn't think of any girls to get a stupid animal for, so he picked out one for Gale. Why? The look on his face when he got it would be AWESOME. "Marcus, Otto.. check this out." He showed them the toy he picked out for Gale. "Imagine Gale's face when I give him this." Bix grinned. "So Molly.. what kind of stuff do you like?" He spoke up to the newer trainee as he came back into the card aisle holding the sock monkey toy.

“ Ah yes, Jim was on duty at the time!” Well, Molly just felt all sorts of special as Marcus offered his arm to her, and she took it, letting herself be guided to the card shop. Relieved she was, to be in it and in one piece and most importantly: not lost. The Mist trainee happened to gravitate towards one of the nearest card aisles, and thus began the arduous process of sorting through them all for the right ones. At Bix’s question the young woman paused, giving a thoughtful hum. “ You know, that’s a hard question! There’s little I don’t like…ah…but that’s not really helpful, huh?” She pulled out a few cards, along with their respective envelopes. “… Gosh…I can’t think of anything specific! Times were tight when I was growing up so we never really had a lot…so anything I get I end up loving…” She looked up at the albino hunter. “ What about you, Bix?”

"Oh baby, my voice is always sexy. I'm talking a musical recording from your's truly." Bix and Marcus were somewhere in the zone of 'eternally trying to ******** with each other in a possible life long game of gay chicken'. Neither wanted to lose, but in the end neither of them would be able to win because they were playing a lifelong game of gay chicken. It was weird, but it was okay. they were okay. Sort of. Cass told them not to kill each other so they wouldn't. Yet. The toy got a quirk of his lip. "He's 16 Bix. You sure he'll like it?" He hoped so Bix. Molly was cheery as cherry pie and he smiled. Good for her at least. "Well Molly, I think Bix is trying to hit on you. Poorly at that. But you do need to throw the dog at least one bone. You like kittens. Maybe bix will get you a kitten." There was a joke to be made somewhere. Oh right. "Then again maybe he just wants to buy himself a kitten." There we go Going up to the decoration isle he balked at the prices. He..wasn't on a huge budget but- jesus. Well, they would skip out on the paper plates and napkins. Streamers and a table cloth... Cheap candles? Augh. The things he tried to do for his fellow trainees. Grabbing a few packs of cards he figured he was good. But ******** hell. Over $100 on cards and decorations... and he still had to find ******** chocolates and s**t. No way. Trainees would just get a cheap as party and have to deal with it. He was spending his bucks on Cass thank you. "Bix, you're not getting Cass anything are you?"

"Well you aren't exactly Barry White when I hear you whining about Unico through the wall." Bix snickered. Just for good measure he grabbed 2 more sock monkeys. One of them was standard brown and the other was an argyle print. He'd probably give one to his bro Before (along with this sweet a** Ninja Turtle card for kids he just found) and Cass could have one too. "He'll probably HATE it. But I'm like that older brother who's job it is to harass him. I'm gonna give Cass a monkey too. Everyone gets a card and maybe I will just get some of those huge hershey mix bags and put it in a bowl outside my door." The spare monkeys he grabbed didn't have any love messages on them. They were pretty cool in his opinion... and of course he grabbed several of those bags of candy. "You want some bags of this stuff for the party?" He'd contribute of course! When Marcus told Molly that Bix was hitting on her he sputtered and turned red. "I wasn't... I mean you are nice and cute.. real cute but." More sputtering and digging a hole for himself. "Anyway, MOLLY," he turned his back to Marcus and took a calming breath. He was so bad with girls! "I am a general nerd I guess. I like comic books and movies and video games and fantasy and scif if books. That kinda stuff." Thankfully being a nerd was trendy nowadays. He didn't need to be ashamed when he admitted all that stuff.

She…she was being hit on? That with Bix’s rather nice words well…  Doing that, she dropped all the cards she had gathered so far. “ Oops!” Molly scrambled to pick them back up, and popped back up, rubbing the back of her head anxiously. “… Th-thank you, Bix!” She replied. “ That’s really sweet of you! I think you’re really nice and cu…cute too!” Did boys mind being called cute? Er…oops. Regardless, she perked up once the conversation swung around to his interests. “ Oh! That’s awesome! Uh…not saying nerd in a bad way…b..but a good way! Like…Lord of the Rings?” She asked. “ I know that one!” One of the few movies she actually got the joy of watching. While she waited for a reply, she busied herself with thumbing through more cards, lest she make even more of a fool of herself.

Bix blushed again and scrambled to help Molly with her dropped cards. Of course he almost bashed heads with her in the process but it only took a second to get them all picked up. "Don't let Marcus fluster you.." He mumbled to her while he helped, hopefully too low for Marcus to hear. "We like to rag on each other. You are nice though." maybe too nice for a goof like Bix. But then she said the magic words. Lord of the Rings. "Lord of the Rings... is... my .. FAVORITE."

“ Ah, thank you so much!” That Bix, such a helpful person! It warmed Molly’s heart, just like her cheeks from all the teasing that was going on apparently. “ Oooh, no problem!” She whispered back. “ It’s like a sibling bond, huh?” The young woman grinned as Bix proclaimed the movie to be his favorite. Yay, common interests! How nice it was to know something someone else knew about too! “ I really enjoyed the movies! I haven’t read any of the books though…who’s your favorite character?”

Wilson smiled, amused at her reaction. “Yeah, it’s me. Wilson, remember?” He wouldn’t be surprised if the Lamb had remembered his name, but he wouldn’t be surprised if she had forgotten it too. In Wilson’s case, he usually had to meet the person a couple more times—but Ami’s name came fairly easy to him, what with her unusually long hair and all. He continued to smile, though he curiously cocked his head to the side at the peculiar smile that adorned Ami’s face. It didn’t seem too sincere, but…Wilson decided to let it slide.
He laughed awkwardly at her clear sarcasm. “I’m sure you’ll find that special somebody eventually,” he reassured her before breaking out into a grin seemed to say I know I’ve already found mine. “Plans? Nothing elaborate. Em doesn’t really like over-the-top things.” He failed to mention who exactly this ‘Em’ person was. “Anyways, I should probably get some cards for the others, too.” Wilson buried one hand in his jeans while the other reached out to pick a random card from the rack. He flipped it open and silently put it back upon reading the message. Too romantic. “Anyways, how’ve you been? Adapt well enough yet?”

Awkward award goes to: Bix! Mission Success, the moon trainee felt. That was until he realized poor Molly was taking him seriously. Er... whoops. That was not the intention. And Why Bix wanted to get Gale something he hated he had no idea. That was Gale's money, not his. Just so he wasn't about to pass up the offer. "Anything would be appreciated. I'm debating about asking for a cake of buying. Hard to uh... figure the best option with Julie around you know?"
Still Molly and Bix seemed to be hitting if off, nerding out Bix or not. Looking back at the counter, he make a quick grab of some packets of gum. God.
He missed gum.

"I have ALL the books. You can borrow them anytime if you want." Bix grinned at Molly, happy to be talking about his interests. "Legolas is the best. Just my opinion... but then again I'm an archer so I might be biased." Most girls loved Legolas, right? Bix was still collecting cards, picking out a few actual cards and then just picking up a box of kid's valentines day cards with the X-Men all over them. He could slip these under doors. With his collection of stuff he looked at his companions. Were they ready to check out and move along to the next store?

Follow them? Guh! The card store was less crowded but still crowded enough that Otto detested the thought of following. It was simply one more excuse not to socialize. The 'special time' comment was met with an audible scoff as Otto turned on his heel and walked in the opposite direction. "Have fun getting eaten by wolves. I'm off to get lost."And off he went. “ Oh wow, really? I’d love that!” It’d give her something to do as well in between those times when she didn’t have a task…and she always did want to read them! At the mention of Legolas, a dreamy sigh may or may not have been heard. “ He was one of my favorites too, but the one I liked best was Sam!” Why? The loyalty. Molly really liked that. She hummed a bit as she finished picking out the rest of her cards (she even got one for Otto, the ditcher), and seemed ready to head to check out as well. You know…since they had the day to themselves…and they were here…Molly was probably hitting up the food court soon…she wanted, no needed a Big Mac…mmmmm.

Marcus had his stuff bagged up, ready to go. "If you guys are cool, where to next? I have a good chunk of the decorations... But I still need chocolate and to play a few custom order things. I doubt they would have what I'm looking for right off the shelves here you know? Cass's gifts... have to be special and s**t." Bix knew. Sorta.
"And you guys are both wrong Aragorn was the best. Just sayin'"
