"If you ever need me, just call for me." He said. "I am quite certain your voice will carry back to me, always..." Spirits and ghost eager to please one of their masters could be quite handy, perhaps.

Cosine smiled as he kissed the back of her hand. She liked that, he could be far away but still near if she needed him to be. It was comforting. She and Echo were right, he was a good man ... god? He would do anything for those he cared about.
She turned to look up at him and smirked.
"I love you Kou. I want you to know that, in case these towns people are god murderers and we don't make it back."

Ha ! As if. "They'll need to get through me first. They might find it... problematic." He said, amused. He wasn't above yanking a few souls, permanently or not, to prove a point if need be, through, really, what could mortals do against deities that no longer held any traces of their own mortal nature ?
No, really, the Spirit Guide wasn't worried at all. "But I'll keep the sentiment in mind. And of course.... I love you, too." Another kiss, landing teasingly just above the first, his lips cool against her warm skin.

Cosine snorted with laughter as he put on a heroic air.
"What if they had some secret death god bashing powers?" She raised a teasing eyebrow and tilted her head up to press a kiss to his jaw. "I might have to come to your resuce." That was a fun thought, her amused grin turned into small yawn. It had been a rather long day.

"Then it's a good thing that I am not Death." He said, lips turning up in a smile full of mischief. Of course she hadn't meant it like that, but... It was too easy ! And well, he was so used to the confusion, by now.
As she came even closer, his arm moved to support her better, without the god really realizing that he was doing it. "You can rest, if you'd like. I will wake you up once the sun is high enough so that we don't make our grand entrance by tumbling down the mountainside."
Certainly wouldn't be grandiose, that.

Cosine closed her eyes and cuddled closer so she could use him to lean against. She knew sleep was not necessary, though it was still a bit of a habit for her. She liked it, it meant that her mind could work away to itself without interruption and it felt refreshing when she woke.
"That would be embarrassing." She mumbled before letting herself drift off.
