The golden haired female placed her hands on her hips and turned her head left and right as if trying to find something. With the long weapon on her back, it would be impossible to try and go up into the trees comfortably. When she was comfortable enough with the idea that there was nobody around, she sighed. Her shoulders slumped and she raised her arms above her head to stretch. A little smile touched her lips and seemed to brighten her face to that of a model. Her flawless face seemed to add to that beauty as well. All of those chosen by her clan were some sort of good-looking person though, but she never registered it for herself more than the average late teenage female. As her arms fell to her sides, a single hand raised to fiddle with the red upside-down crescent moon dangling from her choker. Now was as good a time as ever to let the facade of silent mercenary slip away as far as she was concerned. Her masters would have done her in right-nice if they were aware of the fact she let her appearance slip before those outside of the clan.

Shikaku split off from the rest of his team even before the group got to the edge of the forest. It wouldn't do for Kensei to be watching for pursuers and see him with the group after all. Quickly finding himself a good hiding spot and vantage point, the boy melded himself into the background to wait for the others. Once they were on the move through the forest, he could scout around the edges, and hopefully find Kensei before Kensei found him.
While he waited, his mind trailed back to his team. Laxus had offered to help Sora avoid his traps. Obviously he didn't understand what Shikaku had meant by laying the lines quickly, but still. How could he help her avoid the triplines without tripping her up in the process? Which led to another question. Sora had admitted to being a klutz. Had even tripped over her own feet on the tower stairs, and ran right into the door frame on the way out. But then she had flawlessly taken to the rooftops when it came time to move faster. And she was fast too. It was only his familiarity with the shortcuts around the village that got him here faster. Was it possible for a person who couldn't keep their footing on a flat plane to move that fast without tripping up? He had a feeling the girl wasn't quite as clumsy as she let on, and sincerely hoped he was right about it. There were plenty of stories of men who could dance across the battlefield without taking a single hit, only to return home and have a civilian pound on them, for whatever reason.
While he thought about that, Shikaku slipped his special kunai out of his glove's cuff, and pulling the wire out once more, tied it to the kunai's ring before reeling the line back in again, until the kunai sat comfortably in his hand. The others should be arriving at any moment now, and then, the hunt would be on. He just hoped he was the hunter.

"Huh." Laxus muttered as him and Sora neared the forest. Shikaku had gone on ahead and split from the group, and he'd left Laxus' field a while ago. Laxus had meant to at least keep tabs on the child, but maybe he'd misinterpreted what the child had meant about the trip lines. Possibly laying them after Laxus and Sora run past? That could be what he meant by laying them quickly. In which case that might not work should Kensei activate his Sharingan. Laxus at least knew that the Sharingan increased reaction speed, so Shikaku throwing something to tie a line quickly would probably be easily within Kensei's ability to see. Laxus and Sora would have to really be fast about distracting him. At least if that's what Shikaku meant, Laxus would be able to know at that moment. What techniques did Laxus know that would help in this circumstance? Even more than that, would it work on Kensei? Maybe something to get him to momentarily lose vision? A flash tag would be great for that, but Laxus didn't carry any of those. There was the flicker technique, Sora had used it in Sunagakure. That could be useful, but at the same time it could disable the other if one of them used it ahead of them.
Laxus reached out one arm, aiming to halt Sora. His hand in front of where her face would be so he didn't accidentally cloth's line her. "Should we use the Cloud Wisp technique to scout his location first?" Laxus muttered under his breath, loud enough that Sora would barely hear it. "It has it's problems, but we'll know exactly where he is, and if he is in any hurry to move." Laxus looked down at Sora, or where he thought she'd be waiting for an answer. He then moved his hand and crouched down to make certain he wouln't be the one to get noticed first. No one was around, or at least no one with any metal on them. Kensei would be a cinch to tell where he was, he would either have throwables, or his headband. Wait, would he? The Raikage didn't mention if any of his equipment was recovered, or even hint at it, but that didn't mean it hadn't happened. Laxus would just have to wait until they were in close quarters to tell for sure.
(Gah! Another shotty post, but I'm not sure how Laxus would approach the situation.)

Sora patted herself down in a bit of confusion, stopping some ways behind Laxus. the girl thought bemusedly to herself as she checked to make sure that she didn't unknowingly hurt herself in some other fashion, . The girl quickly shook her head and slapped both sides of her face. Right now, she had much more pressing matters.
The genin jogged forwards to meet up with Laxus, just in time to smash her forehead into his hand and then stop to hear out what he said. In an attempt to clear her mind and in anticipation for the coming battle, she lightly stretched as she thought through her response. What started as organized stretching, though, soon degenerated into Sora merely bouncing nervously on the balls of her feet. All of the pent up energy was starting to push out for better or for worse. Although, at least she was bouncing on the balls of her feet while crouched next to Laxus.
Her response came out first as a thoughtful nod of her head, before she elaborated in a whisper, "I'll do it. Explain things to Shikaku when he pops up." As Laxus said, there was no harm in scouting ahead with the technique, even if the chances of finding Kensei with it were slim. The ample cloud cover at the tops of the trees helped the cloud seamlessly camouflage with its surroundings.
In a even quieter whisper than before, Sora whispered "Kumo Keba no Jutsu," after she formed the appropriate handsigns. The cloud wisp that formed went straight up to the clouds hovering around the tops of the brances before weaving among those clouds to visually cover as much ground as it could while remaining hidden.
Sora herself fell forward with a soft rustle, unconscious as a side-effect of the jutsu. Her body no longer holding the signature jitteriness it had whenever she was nervous.

Kumo Keba no Jutsu (Cloud Wisp Technique)
Description: A scouting technique forming warm air into his hands the Cloud-Nin creates a cloud that is infused with chakra, the entire process takes a post in itself, after forming the cloud the nin loses all form of mental consciousness and the cloud flies away. This little wispling of cloud is now controlled by the nin who has lost consciousness it hears and sees all that is near the cloud. More often times then not the ghosts many foreign shinobi claimed to of seen in The Gate is nothing more then a shinobi using this technique, the wispling looks like a slight misty ball and some could even see the face of the nin form into it giving it a more ghost-like appearance. Destroying it is very easy, physical attacks, ninjutsu almost anything can dispel the technique returning the nin to consciousness, but a horrible weakness this wisp does have is that if one were to use genjutsu on the probe it immediately dispels and the user is afflicted with the genjutsu that was used without even knowing it.

→Kensei started to grow bored as he continued to wait for Sora and her team to how up. He continued to sit in the leaves on the tree and kept looking in the direction of the village. "They should be here by now. The hell is taking them so long?" he mumbled to himself. He looked up at the sky and held his index and middle finger horizontally in front of his eye. He aimed at the sun to see how long he has been hiding only to notice something suspicious. "Why is that cloud moving so fa-. They're here already?" Kensei was going to run away into the forest until he remembered something. He flashed a handseal and made an ember clone. "Ember Clone Jutsu. I'd hate to admit it but Jishaku was a genius when he did this." Kensei said. This would give him a chance to save chakra and see what he's dealing with when he gets ready for the fight. "Alright have fun. I'll join you shortly." The ember clone ran deeper into the forest in plain sight. Kensei however decided I jump down from the tree and weave another seal. "Transformation Jutsu." Kensei transformed into himself when he was 12 and began to wander around the area. Why did he choose to transform into his younger self? Mainly because the others haven't seen him before in his genin days. It'll give him a chance to test Sora. "Alright show time." he cleared his throat and began shouting. "Kensei! Where are you?!" hopefully this would get the others attention

Thus after the user hits the target in their transformed state they revert. Shikaku's face fell into his hand, stifling a groan as the other two appeared in a clearing below. All thought of Sora being less clumsy than implied fell away as she ran straight into Laxus' hand, face first. Shaking his head in slight dismay at the state of his allies, he settled in to listen to their plan, not caring that they expected him to join the group, or for that matter intending to. His position was, and always would be on group missions, support from the shadows, and he had no intention of sacrificing that by making himself a target.
On which note he frowned, almost panicking inside as Sora used some sort of jutsu to... Release herself from her body? Whatever it was, she collapsed and a cloud of chakra took off into the sky. He was almost certain it wouldn't do any good. To get high enough to be unnoticed, she would be above the treeline. If Kensei was smart, he'd be below the treeline. Almost invisible from the sky. Shikaku adjusted his position on that thought, hiding himself from view as well.
The conundrum he now had though, was what happened next. Follow the "Ghost", and see if he could spot Kensei himself? Or stick around here and keep an eye on Laxus and Sora's body? It wasn't even a matter of whether or not he trusted Laxus. Sora was a prime target right now. Their most capable fighter, reduced to a hindrance.
The sound of a voice not far away calling Kensei's name clinched it. The voice wasn't Sora's, nor anyone he knew. That meant it was either someone else who had tracked Kensei here, someone working with Kensei, or Kensei himself. He could take the bait, as he rather suspected it was, and track the voice. But, as earlier determined, he didn't trust Laxus to protect Sora. Even if the boy had every intention of doing so, this was a chuunin, one who likely knew everything Laxus was capable of. He'd be overpowered easily. No, Shikaku would stay here, and keep a watch out.

Laxus turned quickly on the spot, placing his hands on Sora's shoulders as she fell to keep her from falling on her face. She was right next to him, so it would have been a dank move for him to have let her fall this time. "Hopefully I can keep you safe, or wake you up when the time comes." he said looking at her as he set her on the ground. Or fling her away using swift earth into a dust clone, so she didn't get hurt, and instead had a dusty soft landing possibly waking up.
Should I make a clone, or wait until Kensei shows up and I need it? Laxus thought to himself as he looked around. "Remaining here probably isn't a good idea." Laxus said as he looked around. They were outside the forest, in the middle of no where. they weren't near the main village, they were past the training grounds, and on the other side of this small forest, it would be nothing but the wall surrounding the village. It would be kinda odd, seeing the wall and knowing that it was both the thing keeping him and Kensei in the village. It was an odd feeling that suddenly washed over Laxus. This was a life or death mission, Laxus knew that much, but it was one where he was actually trapped in an area with his opponent. There was no running, Kensei would catch him, there was no clear escape from Kensei. If he did manage to get to the other side of the wall, away from Kensei who would have to go over, or go through, or around, Laxus would die because the ANBU would be after him. Laxus was a loose end that would be easily lost. It was almost a relief, knowing that either way, his only choice was to stand and fight. There was no running, he was filled with a sense of nostalgia. What is this reminding me of? He thought about it for a short while before realizing it was the look on his mother and father's face as he closed in on them, wrapping their necks with wire, and then electrifying them as he choked them. Then the same feeling as his old sensei closing in on him, stalking him from town to town, bar to bar, house to house, until eventually catching him. It was Hopelessness, wonderful blissful knowledge that there was no avoiding it. He'd have to fight, there was no ifs, ands, or buts.
"Come on, we're moving, and while we're moving I might as well take this time to reminisce about my parents." Laxus muttered, a smile on his face as he scooped Sora into his arms and set her lightly on one shoulder. He looked around, walking slightly angled away from the direction Shikaku had gone in when he split off from the group. It wouldn't make sense for him to walk toward Shikaku, after all that would defeat the purpose of his having split from the group. It wouldn't have hurt for Shikaku to have told them what direction he would stay in from them, but then again, Shikaku seemed like he was gonna do his own thing no matter what. He'd listen to Sora, but Laxus was a different case. Shikaku didn't seem comfortable around him, which Laxus enjoyed almost perversely. It was a sickening pleasure, one where someone thought their life was on the line just by being there. Maybe not that you could kill them, but that you'd consider it given the choice. Oh, how Laxus wished he had an aura of that, making all feel that way. Then again, that might be counter productive to his image he would perfect. Being both respectful, reserved, but maintaining a playful aura. Something like a mixture of the Raikage and Sora. Now there was an interesting notion, Sora as the Raikage? Laxus laughed lightly at the thought. The village's chief monetary means would turn from shinobi work to candy creation in a single day. The streets would be paved with bubblegum, and sour candy would become the new currency. It was a ridiculous over the top notion, but it served to entertain Laxus as he tried to omit the fact he was walking through a public forest carrying a child, well under his age, of the opposite gender, and who just happened to be probably the best friend of the guy who he was trying to hunt with the girl, and a shy boy who was hiding in the trees somewhere. Or maybe he got a hold of a tiny shovel, and was tunneling like a toddler in a sandbox. Who knows, Shikaku could have a toddler from a sandbox in both hands using it as an automatic shovel.
"Anyway, I killed them. Both of them. I told you they were dead, but that was simply a half truth." Laxus muttered, not even audible enough for Sora to hear if she returned. It felt kinda nice, telling someone what had happened. Well, not all of it, that would make him seem much worse than he actually was. He just couldn't handle stress well. He was fairly normal, but stress and anger were his biggest enemies. He couldn't stand it, the only reason it had taken months to kill his parents was because he liked them too much. Kensei was stronger, and Laxus would die if he killed Shikaku. Those were the only limits on why he hadn't killed them. It wasn't that he thought they should die, as much as it was he got angry and stressed. It was a great relief to kill, like training, or fighting, or some other release. It was just one of those things that made you relaxed after it occurred. Being hunted after was definitely a stressful feeling, but it had ended well. Or maybe it hadn't, he did feel like killing two more people. Hopefully he could get some help with that later. When his job wasn't on the line and all. Once he got enough money, he'd buy his farm back and move back out there, just get out of the line of fire with everything in the world. Just farm, sell the excess he didn't need, and expand. Expand until he couldn't anymore. With his ability, he could work a field just as easy as he could walk. Animals were nothing as long as he kept the metal on their necks tight while he was around and pulled them in certain directions.

《Blue Bird》 《Run Around》 The trees of the Forest of Clouds no longer reached up to the names, fulfilling their namesake. Having been replanted only a few years ago, they stood short in comparison to their predecessors. Though, in truth, they were plenty tall for regular trees. Their height was that, in the next few years, they were certain to finally live up to the namesake of the forest once more.
For now, though, the trees were young and unmatured. While they had been planted as sizable trees, they weren't nearly as endowed with leaves and branches as other trees their age had been. Even now, they had not had enough time to grow a busy, impenetrable ceiling of leaves and branches. As a wisp hiding in the clouds, Sora actually had pretty good vision on the forest below. This forest wasn't named Forest of Clouds for nothing. The trees here stretched high enough and the clouds were low enough for the tops of the trees to be thoroughly covered in clouds. Granted, there were still branches and such blocking her view, but here more than in any other forest she would be able to spot something in the portion of the forest below.
Plus, if Kensei could see the cloud, chances were, the cloud could see Kensei… if only Sora knew where to look. Thing was, it didn't, so the original Kensei escaped the cloud's view at first. Instead, the first sign of Kensei Sora spotted was the clone making quite the scene running deeper into the forest. The cloud followed the Kensei clone for a short bit just to get an idea of its direction. After that, Sora planned to dissipate the cloud and restore consciousness to her body. Although, she never got to that point. A suspicious shout heard close to where the clone Kensei had just run from caught the clone's attention. Sora knew that she hadn't checked the entire forest, but she thought she could at least say that she did check a pretty decent swath of it, and had neither heard or seen anyone that could be the owner of the voice. To top it off, the shout sounded familiar, just like Kensei's voice. Sora quickly looked back to the source of the shout, moving her surveillance cloud back to where it had first seen the Kensei clone. There, Sora saw another figure, too small for Kensei despite the voice sounding so much like him.
Puzzled, but unable to do much more, Sora finally dissipated the technique, restoring consciousness to her body. Blinking awake, Sora felt herself being carried by an unfamiliar touch, her eyes registering the same information. It reminded her of a dream. An unpleasant dream form long ago. A nightmare, to be exact, where she had been carried off…
Sora freaked out, lashing out with a nice, solid kick to Laxus's gut, or wherever it was on Laxus's body that Sora could kick him. At the same time, her arms came up to push her away from Laxus in the direction that the force of the kick would send her in. Perhaps, if she hadn't been so shocked, she would have made the connection that since she wasn't bound in any way along with several other numerous small hints, she was probably safe. She didn't, though, obviously.

→Kensei still in his Transformation form soon stopped shouted and looked around for any sign of Sora and her group. The hell is taking them so long. I'm sure that cloud spotted my clone and I know they can hear me. Kensei thought to himself. Normally Sora would most likely come running up and offer some candy. Is she actually playing it smart and not trusting the voice? Kensei sighed and almost gave up until he heard a shriek. I guess that's her. he started to walk towards the direction of the shriek while also giving the appearance that he was lost. "Kensei was that you?" The Uchiha shouted out as he started to move closer and closer to the group. Kensei's clone also started to move I the same direction but tried to stay out of sight by mostly hiding inside of bushes and staying at least 10ft away from his creator. "This was a bad idea." Kensei said outloud in hopes the others would hear him. Of course his plan was kind of failing but he had a back up ready.

Shikaku groaned under his breath as he watched Laxus pick up Sora and start to move. Wonderful. Now they were both targets, since he wouldn't be able to use his arms. And of course he'd choose to walk in the opposite direction as Shikaku had camped out. he couldn't exactly blame the boy, since he hadn't told them where he'd be, but still. He heard Laxus mutter something about his parents, and was tempted to get closer and listen in, but that would be risky, either because laxus spotted him, or because he allowed himself to be spotted by Kensei in the process.
Still, Laxus and Sora were slowly moving out of the range he could protect them in, and annoyingly enough, the trees in the direction he'd chosen weren't large enough to provide much cover either. That'd be great for an ambush, if it didn't also mean Shikaku would have difficulty hiding himself. Sighing, he looped his wired kunai around the branch he was on and slid off, holding the kunai and letting the wire control his descent as it slowly reeled out. Landing quietly on the ground, he released the kunai and reeled it back in, and silently followed Laxus, keeping a good distance between them, and staying in the relative direction he'd heard the voice from earlier to keep watch.
After a small distance, the boy found himself suppressing a snicker as just ahead, he caught a glimpse of Sora awakening, and promptly clobbering Laxus with her foot. He probably shouldn't feel so satisfied seeing the other boy hurt, but man did it feel nice. Any mirth was quickly suppressed though, as the voice called out again. Apparently whoever it was had heard the scuffle, and by the sounds of it would be coming to check it out. Gritting his teeth, Shikaku slipped into a good spot between the duo and the voice, and pulled the kunai launcher from his back, quickly slotting the wired blade into it and pulling back the firing mechanism. Settling himself low to the ground on his belly, he stilled his entire being, making his best attempt to blend silently into the underbrush, and waiting for his shot. With any luck, the other two making so much noise would detract from the chance of his poor cover giving him away. Next time, he'd make sure and remember a sheet. What was the good of that jutsu if he forgot to bring the materials he needed to use it?

Feeling Sora move slightly, Laxus cut off his train of thought and said, with a slight smile on his face. " Good m-" He said, imediately cut off by a swift kick to the bladder. Falling to his knees, launching Sora off his shoulder, along with her pushing herself back his forehead hit the ground, hard. A bit of blood oozed to the area around where his forehead was, his teeth clenched tightly. "I... I think I'm gonna pee myself..." He muttered, falling to his side. The wound on his head was covered in dirt, slowing the bleeding, but only slightly. Blood trickled down his head, getting into his hair. His knees came up to meet his chest, and his hands remained clasped over his bladder. "You owe me a drink... Not an orange juice or something, you owe me a stiff drink if we live." He said through clenched teeth. His eyes were wide, and his body shaking. Only a couple inches more and Sora would have incapacitated her only other direct help. She probably wouldn't need him, but still, Shikaku was basically a chew toy if Kensei got his hands on him.
"A...a...anyway, did you find anything?" Laxus said, tilting his head to face Sora, the ring of blood around his head conforming now. The bleeding had slowed, but it hadn't stopped completely. At least it hadn't got in his eyes, he heard it was painful, and quite difficult to see through. "Please tell me you found Kensei bound and gagged so I don't have to move." he muttered, his eyes actually watering now. "If you didn't, I could really use a piss break." He muttered that time, shivering a bit more.
If they did survive, he'd definitely make it a point to ask why shehad done that. Not in so many kind words, but not with enough rage to scare her... hopefully. He didn't know of any real reason that would have happened. Maybe he was hurting her stomach? It was directly on his shoulder, maybe he was bonier than he thought. Or maybe she had been caught by a genjutsu and it had made her unable to move, and it had just canceled, luckily enough for him, while she was kicking something. Or maybe she'd been put to sleep or something, and had a nightmare. Any of those options made quite a bit of sense, but why did it have to happen!?!? Laxus thought for a moment, was this just some big laugh at his expense? Kensei didn't seem like he'd kill, although Laxus didn't know him much more than Kensei thought Sora was kinda like a sister or something. Laxus was in the frying pan with his job on the line, Shikaku caught him writing a report, and now Sora had kicked him only inches away from certain annihilation. "So... much... hate..." He muttered to himself, thinking that this was all some sort of joke aimed at him.

《Blue Bird》 《Run Around》 Sadly enough, the first thing Sora thought after calming her rampaging nerves down was, . Although, the cascade of thoughts immediately following were appropriately frantic and focused on how she had hit Laxus. It all resulted in a weak, Her hands were brought to her mouth to demonstrate a mix of apology and surprise.
She hadn't meant to kick Laxus. Well, no, she had. She just didn't know it was Laxus carrying her. Oops. Now, if only her thoughts would slow down enough to say all that, or should she even bother? Right now, she had to report, but she had to apologize, but report, apologize, report.
Sora covered her eyes briefly and pressed down on them. Neither. She was the team leader, so rather than reporting, it should be informing.
"Kensei is here in that direction," she pointed in the appropriate direction, "He's probably heading straight here considering... I'm sorry. There's also a kid who looks like him running around screaming his name," Sora delivered the basics in a whisper before pausing. Did she want to test her suspicions with a second opinion? Did she have time? No, the voice that she just barely heard right then told her that she didn't. She'd just need to hope that if she really was just overanalyzing, Laxus would be able to call her out on it without needing some sort of clear, unbiased verbal drawing of what had happened. She continued in a rapid, softer voice, "The kid has the same voice as Kensei. It's suspicious, and I can't guarantee that I went unseen. Laxus, when we see the kid, give him reason to stay away. Act like your usual suspicious self and throw a warning kunai or something." This way, if the kid really was a kid, then he wouldn't be hurt. If he really was Kensei, then Kensei at least wouldn't be allowed to get close, and he at least wouldn't be able to easily draw the conclusion that his plan had been seen through. At least, assuming Sora's analysis of Laxus as being unusually suspicious about everything was correct.
As she spoke, Sora also walked in the direction she had pointed in, taking the lead deeper into the forest. It was a risk, since this was also the direction she had found Kensei, but she disliked her current position even more. It was too open for Shikaku to do much. She didn't blame Laxus for not realizing, as she probably only realized it because she had began her ninja training as an assassin before switching into sealing. Besides, the three of them would need to face Kensei eventually, so might as well start walking there.
Beyond walking, though, no other preparations were made for the soon-to-come meeting with Kensei. She and Laxus would have been walking and talking strategy with each other even without being suspicious of Kensei. First of all, they had heard the pleading voice, so they'd need to be walking to not miss the owner of the voice. Second of all, the cloud watching jutsu would have been wasted if Sora and Laxus didn't converse between each other a bit after it's use.

→Kensei was slowly growing bored of playing prey while waiting for the others to find him. By the time they find me the transformation would have worn off by then. Of course his plan failed, but the mission wasn't over yet. Kensei jumped into some bushes and motioned for his clone to move forward, while he'd follow behind it. The clone began to walk in a straight line while whistling 'pop goes the weasel' in a creepy tone, stopping only when he reached the pop part of the song. The real Kensei hid inside of the bushes and watch the area for any types of movements. I kind of wish I was a sensor type. This would be a lot easier. Kensei thought as he laid flat on his stomach. He figured out the area where Sora and he squad was hiding, he just couldn't figure out the correct location. So once again he had to play the waiting game.

Shikaku let his head his the ground for a moment, muffling the whimper he couldn't quite stop himself from releasing. Why? Why did they keep deciding to move every time he got himself settled into a good position? And this time, despite Sora just having pointed out Kensei's direction, they were walking straight towards the man! Not only that, he could also hear the man coming closer to them as well. It would be impossible for him to reposition himself in time to do any good, without giving himself away in the process!
Gritting his teeth, the boy realized he only really had one option. Give away his position on his own terms, and hope they followed Sora's earlier plan of leading the man along. Then, he could take his shot at will, without the worry of losing his cover and Kensei spotting him. It was almost certain that once he was seen, he would be less than useless here.
Gritting his teeth harder as he was reluctant to do this, the boy relented, sighing and unclenching his law. Lifting his head back up to see where Sora had moved to, he pursed his lips, whistling out a light trill intended to sound similar to a bird native to the area, but one that spent it's time primarily up in the trees, not hiding under a bush. Or at least that was his intention, as, not actually having been trained in bird calls just yet, it sounded more like a dying turkey. Well, it should get the point across at any rate. He could only hope that his team understood the intent, and that Kensei didn't hear it, or at least couldn't place it. If worse came to worst, he could always try relocating again if they all moved away further.

Laxus stood, shakily at first, then regaining his footing. The dusted himself off, wiping the dirt and gravel off his head. The blood had stopped flowing, but that was only secondary to the fact the pain was subsiding in his stomach. "I'm suspicious?" Laxus asked, somewhat confused. He thought he was pretty straight forward with almost everything. Some things he couldn't exactly be that straight forward with, but most everything he was. "Doesn't matter right now anyway." He aid as they entered the forest.
"I'll make sure the kid stays away. Wouldn't want a child getting hurt if Kensei decides to pull out some big techniques." Laxus said. He knew that Sora was suspicious of the kid, but couldn't that have just been since he looked and sounded like Kensei. "Isn't there a Compound in the village for the Itchy-ha-has?" He said, straightening his back and stretching. "Could be one of Kensei's relatives." Laxus said, his arms reaching into the air. It was kinda odd, how would the kid have known where Kensei would be shortly after a mission was assigned by the Kage herself? Maybe that's why Sora was suspicious.
"I can't feel anyone nearby." Laxus said looking at Sora. He wasn't kidding, to him, there was no one within fifteen feet in any direction of him with any metal aside from himself and Sora. It wasn't all that unnerving, Kensei did actually know Laxus could move metal magnetically. Maybe he didn't know he could sense it though. Possibly Kensei had taken the thought that Laxus had to see the metal, rather than just be close enough to it.
