"I havn't found anything there yet." He admitted - revealing that he was often in the library in the same breath. "But I know it's not really... Well, important. Not as much as it is important for the others to remember. I just wonder, sometimes. What he was like."
Was it wrong that he wanted to know that other Lament, if only to mourn him correctly ? He was not that god, and yet maybe there was a different kind of relation here. And what if his other half, the female lament, came back ? What would he do ?
The goddess did gain back his attention with the physical contact. He did not recoil from it, like his father likely would have, but was surprised in a way that betrayed that his mind had been elsewhere. "You really think so ?" It was... well, flattering, in a way, to have someone he barely knew believe in him so steadily. He smiled, a shy little smile, behind that veil. "Thank you."

Tien smiled and nodded, the light of mischief and laughter in her eyes. Though by some miracle she managed to hold back the giggle caused by the surprised look on his face. No doubt it would have embarrassed the young god further. "I do." After a moment she leaned back, resting an elbow against her knee and chin in her hand. "Feel any better about what was troubling you earlier?"

It was that light of mischief, that barely restrained giggle, that seemed to clue him. No, that didn't seem like the other Mystery, there - there was something different about that kind of delight to catch him off-guard.
But it wasn't Laughter, either. Crys had met her, and she looked nothing like this one did. Through, that reminded him of something else...
He thought and thought, until... Ah ! No, the hair was different, but everything else matched too well.
"A little." He admitted. "There's just so much to think about, you know, Robin ? Or..." His voice lowered, respectfully in a way, while gaining hints of amusement. "Should I call you Trickery, fair lady ?"

"Clever and observant one, you are." Tien let the shapeshift go. The leather tie slipped free from her hair as it shortened again and she caught it, slipping it back into a belt pouch. She wore her chosen form again for the time being. It seemed she needed to be a bit more thorough with her disguises.
"I hadn't expected anyone to really know me..." Her way of asking how he knew who she was. They'd never met before at least not directly.

Actually, he had no idea about THAT - and rose an eyebrow in surprise as her hair suddenly did change. How did she do that ?!
He bit back the question, if only for now. It would be polite to answer first, after all.
"My sister met you. She told me about you..." He admitted.

"Ah...so you are his child too." After all she had only met one other child god and the little girl had been with Underworld at the time. "I'd wondered if she was the only one." She giggled, politely covering her mouth with a hand. It was practically written on his face that he wanted to ask a question. "Curiosity seems to be baiting you, ask your question."

The emphasis seemed strange, really, through it did seem like she knew his father. Maybe... not in a good way ?
His father didn't get along with many people, he found.
"Yes, she is my big sister." ...Is. Was. Augh, confusing ! Was he supposed to count as the oldest, now ? Neither his siblings had changed like he had. "And we have one older brother." Which made Crys the middle child, so to say, through technically they were all born at the same time.
"How did you do that ? Change your hair, I mean." He'd never seen anyone do that ! Well, Tian Yue changed into a dragon, but that was different.

Should he really have told her that? Probably not, but no matter. The information was filed away for later. Who knew what she might possibly use it for. "Mm..ah, so you are the youngest then. Are the others already grown like you?" That was the way it would be with mortal children, but Tien wasn't sure how it worked with god children.
"That is just part of what I am. I can be most anything, if I wanted. Though I generally prefer to keep to two legged beings. All of us are capable of it, to some degree. Not something you've tried I take it?" Kios' question was understandable, most gods she had seen had kept to shape they preferred to be in.

"No..." Akakios made a face - betraying his inner feelings on the matter. It was, well... extremely odd. Really, it was ! Suddenly he changed and yet, his siblings had remained the same.
God children, it seemed, were not bound to such mortal limitations.
"Oh..." Well, that was her power, and it made sense. Like how he wrote. And yet... "I could do that, too ?" He asked, blinking. He'd never been told anything like that !

Tien nodded. "It would probably take more practice for you than it does for me, but it is certainly worth learning. Could be useful if you wish to mingle with mortals or simply not be recognized."

So far, he hadn't really had issues mingling with mortals. But... well, that was when he'd been smaller. He had always lacked the strange eyes (or lack thereof) or skin color of his siblings, so he had more often than not gone more-or-less unrecognized.
Through he could see a few uses with not being recognized... And well, it wasn't like he'd ever needed a reason to learn something ! "How do you do it ?" He asked, finally.

"Sufficient time, focus and knowing what you wish to change. It takes practice though, to gain any sort of mastery with it. Small changes are best at first, since they are easier to accomplish. Once you have a handle on it changes of a larger scale will be less troublesome." Tien made a thoughtful face, offering a little bit of wisdom that came from experience. "If you have a shape you prefer though, do well to keep it in mind...elsewise it could be lost eventually."

...That made sense, when he thought about it, really. "I'll try it..." Later, perhaps - he wasn't sure if he wanted to try it in the open, under the critical eye of a master, so to speak. Youthful embarrassment at it's best, really.
Or maybe his uncle would know, too. He wandered all the worlds, right ? Surely he did try to blend in, sometimes...

Tien wouldn't mind helping if he asked, though she could certainly understand the possibility of embarrassment. Ah youth! Perhaps too, he inherited a touch of his father's pride? At least he hadn't acquired Underworld's need to be unnecessarily uptight; were that the case then Lament would have been no fun to be around at all except to tease and prank.
"I'd be curious to see your skill with it, once you've practiced some."
