"Yes," she said confidently, it was a very big deal that any interested rogues be fully informed of what they were getting into. Blasphemy was a big deal and any who expressed doubt and still wanted to run the risk of becoming a slave were unwelcome. The conflict of dealing with a outside-born slave who could not accept the Great Lion never ended well.
"If interested rogues can't accept the ways of the pride, they will not be allowed to join," she added, "Especially where should the Great Lion ignore you, we are obligated to keep you within the pride for your own safety. Those without the Great Lion's blessing earn the protection of the pride as a whole by acting as slaves."

Apatheia nodded slightly as she listened, since it sounded reasonable. One would shame themself if they lived in a pride whose ways they could not accept. One word, however, made her tilt her head with a curious look. "...What is a 'slave?'"

Selene blinked at Apatheia's question. It was only knowing some things about how other prides functioned that she knew there were less pleasant ways to interpret the term 'slave' .. but she had never considered that it might be a completely foreign concept to anyone.
"Slaves are the lowest class," she said, "Their job is to whatever task might be presented to them, from helping with the hunting to running personal errands for those in higher classes. The term can carry some negative implications in outside prides but so long as your accept your place and do you work, slaves are very rarely mistreated here."

"Ah, I see," Apatheia said. It was not so different than what she had done at home, then. The thought brought a pang, and for a moment the pale blue lioness would have given much to make everything the way it was before the plague, nice and normal and familiar. But that wasn't the case, and she would have to make the best of it. "When is the next full moon?"

"The new moon passed a couple nights ago, the Great Lion is waking up again," Selene said thoughtfully, always well aware of the phase of the moon- were it any closer to the new moon, in fact, she would not have been wandering so freely. Of course, it was day time.
"The full moon is a bit more than a week away," she said, "Are you interested in coming to learn more?"

"I think so, yes," Apatheia nodded. It would be interesting to learn more of these outsiders, if their ways did not clash too harshly with ji'e'toh. Her world may have been turned onto its head to dump her out into a strange land, but she would do her best to uphold her honor and obligations nonetheless.

"Alright," she said brightly, "I'll walk back with you and introduce you to the right people." Selene was a lucky one to run into, she was one of the few who would be involved in the explanations and introductions to any incoming rogue.
