Ooops apparently Fire had offended him. For some reason he had a knack for doing that with other males. There was Naoki's father Jack who he was still sure didn't like he but put up with him because his daughter and mate did. "Sorry I didn't mean it like that. Most are just traveling threw here and don't want to stay longer than possible. So I help them get what they need and send them on their way before tending to things for myself. Nice to meet you Thread." He said with a smile. At least the male hadn't attacked him yet just seemed pretty grumpy.

He dropped his head, shame in his eyes. Of course he should of thought of that. Most foxes probably did that. "So...What food where you going after? I might need to be shown how to help."

Fire could read the other foxes body. It read that he felt bad for jumping to conclusions. He walked over there and gave him a friendly nudge to tell him that it was okay. "We are going to attempt sea creatures. Fish, Crabs other things like that. If you aren't sure if it is eatable ask me. I have no problem teaching you how to catch certain things."

Thread smiled as the other male seemed to be okay with his mood. "Okay. What is the best way to catch the toe biters? I don't want to lose a paw with them." He looked at the water, noticing some of the other fish. "Are there any fish I should look out for too?"

"You have to lure crabs. I tend to hover my paw over them till they get mad so that they will chase it toward the shore. Once they are in shallow enough water I smack them out of the water and onto land. This stunts them for a short bit of time. That is the time when you want to kill them," Fire said while studying the water as he approached. "As for fish if they look kind of ugly or look like they have spikes avoid them unless I say other wise."

He nodded as Firelight explained a better way to get the nasty nail breakers, crabs. Silly looking things, but there seemed be more around, now that he looked at the water more. "Okay.. I got this." Jumping to another spot, Thread tried to get a fish. Wasn't an ugly looking fish, but it was flat and long, laying at the bottom of the tide pool.

"That's great to hear," Fire said while giving him an encouraging smile. "Just give a holler if you need help or unsure. I'm going to wade further out and see if I can find a yummy treat for us." He than turned and walked further into the water. He was paying close attention not wanting to step on anything that could harm him. He put his face close to the waters surface so he could see threw the water and sand.

He looked up at the other fox, making sure to mimic him as best Thread could. This fishing wasn't easy as in a stream. Heaving a sigh, the red fox put his nose back down to the water, looking at the flat fish. It seemed to be staring at him with one eye and he wasn't taking that very well. Growling, he jabbed his paw in the water as fast as he could and attempted to get it under the fish to flip onto the sandy spot. "GOTCHA!" He pranced around the small, flat fish, proud of himself.

Firelight was so focused on waiting and watching for a fish that when the other male cried out it startled him and he stumbled backwards in the water and fell on his butt. As he fell he caught a glimpse of thread and seen that he was happy about something. He was going to ask what till his but collided with something and he let out a high pitched yelp and scrambled out of the water as fast as he could. His butt and tail were on fire it seemed as he made a mad dash to shore letting out slight whimpers.

Right as he got a fish, the other male just had to let out a high yelp. Grumbling to himself, even though Fire had helped him after his scream of pain, Thread went to see what had happened. "Why are you whimpering? I thought you were a smarter fox then this." He nudged at the other, waiting to find out what was going on. "Looks like catching food is out for now."

Fire was in pain and when that happened he became snippy and his voice and body features showed it. " I am but even a smart fox can be started by a sudden loud sound when they are focusing on a task,"He said while giving the red male a pointed look. "There are red looking spikes sticking out off my butt and tail isn't there?" He asked the other male since he really couldn't see back there.

Growling, he realized that it was him that probably caused this incident. "Sorry, but it happens when I do something for the first time." Stifling his temper, Thread went to look at what could be in the others rear.
"It does appear you have something coming off of you like that." Leaning in and grabbing one with his teeth, the red fox pulled, none to gently. "We have to get these out, get out any poison and do anything else?" It was a bit garbled, as the spike was still between his front teeth.

Fire let out a grunt as Thread put his teeth on the spike. "Yeah a heads up would have been nice but its to late now and what's done is done. Just please pull that damned thing out. It is starting to burn," Fire said his voice held tension in it from the pain.
He felt a little better once the spike was out but his butt was still on fire. "That spike is red isn't it..... stupid poisons sea urchins..... I don't have any of the antidote made up."

Thread swatted at the other males back foot, not that his mouth had a spike trapped. With a shove, he pulled it out and spat the damn thing out. "That...THAT IS POISONOUS!!!' If he wasn't so hungry or content that a stranger offered to help him get food, Thread probably would of walked off.
His paws were actually about to turn him away, when the talk about an antidote being made. "What do you need to make it?"

"Yes poisonous. Though don't worry your fine. The poison only releases if you step on it like I did. When they are stepped on they automatically release a poison so its already in my body and none of it can get you cause it was emptied in me," He grumbled as he felt the burning sensation start to travel up his leg.
Hanging his head in embarrassment he told the other how to fix the problem."We..uh don't have time to make the proper antidote...We will have to go with the quick solution...which is uh... peeing on my foot." He looked away not meeting the others eyes.
