Kyran Kyran looked up at where Crown had gone and chuckled to himself, shooting up after him, it having taken a while to get used to the weiht of his armour but he had finished growing and had been big enough and strong enough to manage the weight like his father did. Spreding his large wings he glided along once he gained height, spotting Crown and altering his wings so she swooped down and round, doing a tight playful turn around Crown before settling into a place near him that gave plenty of room for their wings. Crown Crown actually rolled his eyes playfully, "Show off." He teased, closing his eyes for a moment to feel the wind through his feathers, though it chilled him slightly it was the freest feeling imaginable. Opening them he smiled at Kryan and then looked out before them, not quite the right angle he turned slightly to the left so that directly before him was the Lake. Surrounding it on three sides was the forest they had just been wandering around. "Welcome.... to the Miakoda herd lands." He repeated the first greeting he had ever given Kryan, as his eyes greedily lapped up the sight of his family going out their daily chores. So many different breeds and colours, each with a different personality. He could see Pele dancing, and could actually imagine her singing along to her movements. He saw Chandra looking after her three children, they seemed to be playing a game. He even saw Elder Maion doting after his mate...... they all seemed so happy, so complete. That was what Crown wanted for himself. To find the missing piece of himself. It wasn't a big piece, but he noticed it missing.

Kyran Kryan looked down over everything as they flew, not denying that he had showed off a little, he was used to flying high and playing with his brother as he did. But he also wanted to impress Crown a little. But as he looked over the lands and saw all the differnt soquili his purple eyes went very wide, he had never seen so many in one place before, all so different but all part of a whole. He thought ofhis own small family, not having seen any others like them in his wandering. Not decending but peering down at them all as they glided, looking to see if he saw any in this large group that made him less unusual. Crown Crown couldn't help but sneek a look at Kryan, and sure enough his eyes were wide with... surprise? Awe? He imagined to an outsider it was pretty impressive. "As you can see there is a lot of Angeni blood. Not surprising since the head is the Angeni of the Ocean and his mate." He knew it was not for him to brag, but he loved Maion as if he was his second father, had always been treated like a son in return. Even Crown had Angeni blood, his little wings a testiment to his blood line. His eyes saw a dark blob..... Orion, and sure enough next to him was his sister Eden. "That's my sister..... and her mate." There was a soft sadness at the word mate, he was happy for his sister but that didn't stop him worrying or feeling slightly jealous. He had got over the fact that Orion had Kalona blood in him.... after all, who was Crown to judge? What actually surprised Crown was that Orion had his wings open and seemed to be turning in circles trying to find something while Eden laughed.... he hadn't seen her laugh like that before. It warmed him that she found someone who could give her that.

Kyran Kyran looked at him and tried to tell who was who that Crown mentioned, to him they were all straingers. He didn't know about angeni much either, but he lifted his head and frowned a little as he tried to remember something. "Angeni.... My mother had a friend who was part angeni..." His tone carefully blank, the past tense used as he remembered his mother telling him that angenis might not see past his blood line, jsut as her friend had not been able to do with her for a while. Though they had started talking again, the burnt bridges were still being worked on. He just knew that this angeni friend had hurt his moter and that made him feel angry, he loved her and couldn't see anything in her that the angeni had hated so much. Giving a small snort to calm himself down he looked over the herd again trying to pick out the angeni's, his mothers friend havign had no angeni traits that she had mentioned so he didn't know them from anything else. Crown At Kryan's words Crown found himself frowning.... there was something off with his tone, it was blank.... while the rest of his speech had been playful and teasing. What was wrong? Crown didn't ask.... for it seemed as if the other didn't want to go into detail, and Crown respected that. "Em.... so the tour." He said softly as he looked over the landscape, they were flying towards a river that fed into the lake. "This river is said to go all the way to the mountains.... I have never followed it that far though to be sure." Despite continuing Crown couldn't dislodge the feeling that he had done something wrong.... but what was it?

Kyran Kyran did a lazy loop to get himself back into his jovial teasing mood. "Yup all rivers start in a mountain, otherwise they are lakes or ponds because the water needs the slope to make it run in a line... Where we live theres a spring, who knows maybe it is attached to this river." Grinning there only being one way to find out but thaat was for teh trip to the mountains. Settling back into a more normal pattern of flying and giving Crown a smile, seeing the frown. "Ask.... I honestly don't bite.... Well I've only ever bitten my brother when he was being REALLY annoying.... But whatever put that line on your forhead, tell me or ask... I don't mind." Smiling again after looking sheepish, he had gotten into big trouble for biting his brother, his fangs had done some nasty cutting of his brothers leg. Sufficed to say he had learnt his lesson and not bitten someone again even when they were being annoying. Crown Crown blinked, blushed and turned away slightly.... was he that transparent? That was like the... fifth time... or something that this stallion had caught onto something. He would have to work on that. Composing himself he turned to look at Kryan again.... "It's nothing really..... it's just...." He frowned, wondering what he was trying to say.... would he offend Kryan? "...well.... you didn't seem like yourself when you spoke of part-angenis...... and well..... I wondered if you disliked me because I was part angeni." His little head wings wiggled and then sat on his head, like they often did when he was worried.

Kyran Kyran's eyes went up, looking at the wings on his head, with a kind of Oh! expession, not having known what they meant, but grinning at how adorable they looked on him. Shaking his head and looking rueful and sighing. "I'd never met one till now... but I know my mothers friend hurt her badly... But I suppose he couldn't help being part angeni any more than she could help being part skinwalker..." Looking at Crown with a confused expression, not having a clue about the animosity between the two races, or what skinwalkers were like, the one time he had met his grandfather he had seemed gruff and a bit hard but had done nothing that made Kyran see him as a monster. "I don't get why it was such an issue, my mum is lovely." He sounded very confuse. Crown Crown's eyes widened a little at the word skinwalker, the two pures that had attacked the herd before Crown had been born had done a lot of damage... it was a amazing no one had died. Catching himself he smiled, Kryan was nice.... he couldn't see him acting like a skinwalker no matter the blood, and Maion had said that the pelts only got passed down on pure breeds.... for cursed walkers the off spring didn't have pelts. Crown believed that Kryan didn't understand, and although he wasn't lecturing him he decided to tell it from their perspective.... perhaps it would help him understand a little? "Skinwalkers usually kill everything and everyone in their way, they are viscious and mean and have a reputation that can make even the most battled honed soilder quake in fear. They are considered to be pure evil... while Angeni's are considered pure good. Many Angeni have been targeted by the breed for no more than being of blood foe....." He crinckled his brow, "Two pures attacked the herd just before I was born, they..... tried to kill everyone. It was pure luck of numbers that no one was too seriously injuried." The sadness in his eyes was clear, but as he looked at Kryan he smiled. "But just because you are of skinwalker blood doesn't make you evil or cruel.... just like I suppose being of Angeni blood doesn't make me good and kind."

Kyran He tiltd his head and pondered, trying to picture his grandfather as a evil killing machene. "I might not know him well but I can't imgine my grandfather being like what you discribe.... Then again According to my mum my aunts a piece of work.... so who knows.... I think the most evil thing my mother did was whack someone on the nose with her hoof..." Not mentioning that when she got mad his mother was scairy as hell, but then she didn't often get mad so it wasn't a hge issue. Smiling over at Crown/ "I think anyone is capable of evil... no one is totally pure and good, even the best probably have that little voice that eggs them on to do something bad.... But I really don't know what I'm talking about and can only speak for myself." He knew he had that little voice, the one that made him want to be a little cheeky, a little naughty, just enough to exasperate others.... He couldn't imagine really hurting another... Crown "I....." He paused wondering for the first time in his life if it was actually true or not, "I was told that a pure Angeni is incapable of doing an evil act... that it literally goes against their nature. They can still get up to mischief though." He added with a chuckle remembering how Sophia and his two other cousins were at times. "I don't know..." He huffed, just as the wind picked up. It seemed to rain icy straight through his body and his teeth starting chattering along with the impulse to wrap himself in his wings. "Go---in----g tooo---ooooo ha----av---e to la----a---n----d" He felt like a wuss, but if he stayed up here much longer he would probably freeze to death.

Kyran Kyran looked at him, his teeth aching again and nodding. "Yeah your blue enough handsom, come on lets get down out the wind and warm you up." Quite happy to follow Crown down out the sky and warm him up again, gliding after him, supressing the chuckle at the idea of poor crown on a mountain top in winter, deciding summer was a better time to take him to the mountains. Crown Crown looked over his shoulder at a chuckling Kyran just as he landed and started to rub his wings up and down the sides of his body to warm himself up. "Wh---a---ts sooo-oooo fu--nn-y?"

Kyran Kyran landed and shook his had smiling before moving over and wrapping Crown up again, even warmer than before from the exercise of flying. "Nothing, just thinking summer is definately a better idea for taking you to the mountains." Giving Crown a random and spontanious nuzzle that surprised even him. Crown Crown smiled softly, if not a little from embarassement as Kryan mentioned the mountains and the summer.... hopefully it would be warmer than this at least. Strangely enough Crown let himself get wrapped up, didn't even try and fight it.... and then came the nuzzle. He froze a little, eyes wide with shock..... had he just been nuzzled? No one other than his mother and siblings had ever done that to him.... not even Maion. And although he was quite used to touch he couldn't help but hide his surprise or the new blush that bloomed on his cheeks. He looked slightly to the side, noting the shape and texture of Kyran's feathers..... he didn't say anything, or pull away..... and that actually surprised him.

Kyran Kyran nods, his unmasked head softer agaisnt Crown's. "I know, but I think were our roles reversed you would do the same... Theres no need to be cold when I can warm you up." His voice oddly gentle, very aware they barely knew eachother but his father had raised him to be considerate of others needs and welfare and Crown freezing and possibly becoming ill did no one any good that he could see. Besides it was fun to watch him blush. Crown He nodded in thanks, not really wanting to say it again. Kryan was right though, Crown would have helped if he could have. He chuckled softly, wondering if.... "I bet you hate the heat huh?" Crown loved the sun and the heat, but he imagined one with so many layers probably wouldn't feel the same. He supposed they were just total opposites, never quite in allignment so that they could fit together. He frowned then, suddenly wandering about everything... and before he realised it he heard himself say; "Do you mind if I ask you something.... wired?"

Kyran "Heat... well I shed like a sheared sheep in the summer but I'm always fluffy so yes when it gets really hot it can be a little harsh for me, though no I don't hate it, just dont ask me to do too much in the summer." Shifting his head, resting it more agaisnt Crown, makig himelf more commfotable in the position. "Mmmm ask me anything you want, I'm not prone to being secretive about myself." Crown Ok... so that just made the whole sheep baaing image come back to Crown with avengence.... and it took a moment to dislodge the images. Baa Baa Baa goes the Kryan. Shaking his head ever so slightly only to realise that Kyran had moved closer to him.... and he hadn't noticed? He took a moment to just 'feel' where their bodies made contact, he was accutley aware of each spot, the flesh burning with heat. At Kyran's words about his propsed question Crown found himself wanting to back off.... there was only one person who had he ever trusted this 'secret' with.... but still, he needed to know if Kyran was just being nice, in his own flirting way and if Crown being the way he was would make a difference, part of Crown hoped that he could at least be friends with Kyran. "Would it make a difference to you..... if...." He paused, not really sure how to phrase his question without sounding like a freak. "If I told you that I have only ever fancied Stallions?" Part of him expected it would, that brotherly 'help' didn't reach to those who may actually find you attractive in the same way as a mare..... he suspected he would be just as freaked out if a mare started cuddling him in an effort to gain his affections. It just didn't go together....

Kyran "No..." Giving his head a little shake, not seeming to move at all, seeming more than content to keep hugging wampth into Crown. "I know what you mean..." He had flirted less with Crown, though what he had said had been more sincear, though usually he was rather overt with it, but then it didn't matter... It would be hard to explain how the flirting wasn't as important as the other thigns he said, like some of the thigns he had said to Crown. Crown Crown was a little confused but still he nodded... Kyran knew what he meant? Did that mean he had been born feeling the same way? Or that he understood how Crown felt but it didn't bother him? Ah well... what did it matter. He suspected even if Kyran had been that way inclined that they would never have ended up together anyways. Hot and Cold, and all that. Still he smiled, and allowed his weight to press slightly more against Kyran and he simply listened to the world around them. Crown was getting tired, but a day that had started with hard training, then developed into a half a day duty before merging with his epic battle to keep warm.... not to mention it had been hours since he had actually ate or drunk anything.... well, it was hardly surprising; yet, despite it all right now that didn't seem to really matter.

Kyran Kyran held Crown for a while, not minding the quiet, or the way that Crown pressed closer. "Do you feel alone too?" Wondering if Crown ever felt hurt and alone seeing how love would always be elusive, seing mares go off with other stallions, but no one lookign at you that you had an interest in. Sighing softly he pressed his face into Crown's mane for a short moment, memorizing the feeling of this so he could remember whenever he felt alone again. Crown Crown felt Kyran press into his neck and mane, could feel the soft breath tickle him... and for a moment he wanted to loose himself in the sensation, but he answered the question instead. "Yes.... " It was especially worst now that his sister had found someone, she had always been there for him and now a selfish part of him hated the idea that he had to share her... hated that she had someone to tell her secrets to, her hopes and dreams while he remained the same. Nearly everyone who was his age or older had a mate now, and there were even rumours that Paris had found someone to 'settle' with, as if he actually knew the proper meaning of the word. He then told Kyran something he had never even told his sister, "I always feel.... odd.... when I escort my fellow herd mates to the courting field, and watch them all folicing and playing. Many have found their mates there.... and I did try...." He had looked at the mares, knowing that was 'expected' but he had never actually felt anything towards them. "But it wasn't right." He blushed slightly, "I suppose I am jealous of them at times...... even if I am happy for them."

Kyran Kyran nods understandingly, thinking that it was worse for Crown, at least he could avoid it, he didn't have a herd full of couples that he had to watch. Sighing softly, lifting his head from Crown's mane. "I've had mares look at me, show interest, but theres nothing there for them. I'll smile, maybe flirt a little but if they hint at more I just leave... "Crown Crown listened... but then frowned, why was Kyran telling him this? He supposed he had opened this can of worms hadn't he..... thinking about things for a moment he didn't notice as a soft yawn escaped him. It wasn't until the second time that he realised it was actually him. "Sorry... you're not boring me.... just.... been a long day." It wasn't a lie, but for some reason it was important to him that Kyran not think it was because he wasn't interested. "My herd is usually awake at night.... I simply pulled the unlucky straw today." Or maybe he should correct that... "Well... that was until you turned up." Crown wasn't very good at flirting, but he supposed he was trying, he even teasingly bumped his rump into Kyrans.

Kyran He chuckled softly. "Yes I showed up and you could feel your nose again." Bumping back gently so as not to knock Crown out of the warm bubble that he had made for him. "Not only that you have an invitation to a summer vacation hot point. And a local as your personal guide." His tone playful and warm. Crown Crown smiled, "True." Yet as Kyran's words continued he couldn't help but wonder.... 'what next', he didn't know anything about anything, how was he meant to find his 'personal guide' to have a tour of the mountains? Perhaps it was just a strange fanatical illusion between two lonely guys, trying to give themselves something different to think about than lovey-dovey couples having foals and pawing after each other? For the first time in Crown's life he found himself he thinking... this actually feels right.... but was that because of Kyran and just because he was a stallion? Though either way it definatly confirmed his confession to his sister.... He remained silent for a while, his tired mind not quite working to full effiecency. "I think.... I should go to bed before I fall over and die right here." He said with a sad smile.

Kyran "I'd never allow that." An odd note of command in his tone, he had been raised by a knight to be knightly after all and allowing a comraid to randomly drop from exaustion was unthinkable. But he didn't want to leave Crown to the cold either, but he doubted the private stallion would want a fluffball to snuggle in his sleep. Thinking he would find himself looking for Crown to make sure he was ok, anting to keep this connection, whever it lead. Lifting his head again and moving it, taking away a little of the wampth to look at Crown. "You should rest, your herd need you to look after yourelf." Purple eyes meeting golden, offering a gentle smile. Crown With the 'I'd never allow that' Crown found himself feeling oddly.... safe? Which was a wierd way to feel based on some words and commanding tone, though he supposed that was what Maion often did for the herd.... people felt safe when they felt as if they were in competant hooves after all? And although it had only been a short time together he did believe Kyran's words to be true.... He smiled softly, looked into Kyran's eyes and tried to memorise the features there just incase they never met again, and a sad part of him suspected that may well be the case. I wonder.... Crown thought.... if he realises I will probably think about him a lot now? He would never tell him that, but it didn't make it less true. As he spoke of the herd Crown felt the weight of his responsibilities upon his shoulders, this was what he had always wanted.... to become strong, quick witted, agile... just like Maion and Drashi and the other protectors.... but was this the cost? "Yeah." He muttered. Stepping out of the warm envelop of Kyran's embrace he started to walk away, but turned and smiled; "Don't worry about me... I am sure the foals will take pity and snuggle up to me to keep me warm." He was good with foals, and they did seem to like him... though deep down he had only really bonded with one or two of them. He paused a little before saying, "Take care of yourself." His look was contemplative, lingering sadness at parting obvious.... yet he forced himself to turn and start walking home all the same. One thought echoed... would he ever see Kyran again?
