She kissed him back - though not on the forehead. Her lips sought his out for just a minute, parting as he sat. Settling in his lap, she sighed, resting her head in the crook of his neck, arms still limp around it.
"I believe that. I really do." His words were calming, his proximity was calming. Marcus in general was a soothing presence to Cass. As it stood, he'd already proven he'd do it too. "You're the only comfort I've really had since we went back, you know. I don't think I'd sleep at all if you weren't near." Even if they'd both been broken and it probably hadn't been the most comfortable of positions to be in.
"I love you." her voice was quiet, but audible, even as she moved to bury her face in his chest.

Marcus let her snuggle up to him, it was really, just as comforting to him as it was to her. He'd be afraid that he'd lost her in those few moments and- How did you face that which had do easily broken you? Hint, you didn't, not easily without thoughts of death on the brain. He was running his hands on her back, soothing. "Only comfort? What about thinks like Unico? Ice cream? Cute socks?" His faced was etched with worry now, goatee sexy not even hiding it.
Nuzzling her again, he caught her whisper, smiling. "That's good, because I love you too. I-" He looked up, a glare from a senior hunter in passing. WHOOPS. ***** alert. "Do... Do you want to go to my room? I can work at getting you some of those comfort things okay?"

"Cute socks were good for making me forget my toes weren't completely broken." She was pretty sure that most of the hunters needed some cute socks to their name if they wanted to forget their toes weren't broken. Two pairs, so they could wear one on their hands too. "And Unico is nice, but it was better because you watched it with me."
"and Ice Cream.....okay, it's really hard to make excuses in your favor over the healing powers of Ice Cream." she laughed a bit.
"But...I think I could really use cuddles right now. I want all of the cuddles with you." and that sexy goatee of yours. "Anything else is optional. Except maybe Totoro. I did promise no more Unico for a while." As pained as she was to pass up on such a lovely thing. "And frankly, I think I'm out on the horror front for a while too...."

Yes Cass, socks and movies and ice cream helped. Smiling she seemed better but Marcus wasn't going to leave it up to fate. Picking her pack up, somebody else could clean up the balls on the pool table. Cass needed comforting, he wanted to be the one to provide it. Heading down past her room he kissed her forehead again. "We'll cuddle, and watch Totoro. How does that sound?" He grinned.
"You can also admire my hott bod."

She felt like a princess, the way he picked her up and carried her about with such ease. Always a princess. Still, he was offering her all sorts of nice things. Cuddles, movies, the chance to admire his hot-ten-years-teaser body. That all sounded delightful, really.
"I like the sound of that." she preened, leaning her head against his shoulder, her lips brushing against his neck teasingly. Part of her was tempted to ask if there were kisses in that battle plan, but...it was probably for the better if she didn't ask about kisses from a guy who was already setting off ***** in the established hunter population.
