"Okay, Ah'll move on then ta the six a'spades." Her fingers turned the six of hearts to the side, clearly not done with using it just yet. There was more to be said, more that she had to do, and Ofelia switched her hand over atop the second card she mentioned. Once again her eyes closed, though once again that other eye opened. Really, she needed to work on that.
"The six'a spades represents sorrow an' passin'. Something has occurred around this time, not nessicarily recent or deep in the past, but the turn of the clock ta the time 'round this period has lead you ta feel it. You're slowly movin' away from whatever it was that caused you grief an' the journey ta forget has been slower than you wanted."
The card was flipped upside down again, Ofelia taking a deep breath as she continued to remember what came next.
"The journey's slow because something happened, something that changed how you look at yourself an' how others look at you. There is sorrow and mistrust on all sides as you move to get past it, but it's jus' not how it shoulda been."
The card was then turned to its side and slid next to the six of hearts, and Ofelia actually opened her eye...s for the next section.
"Drawin' these two cards together represents a contradition in both your mind an' yer actions. You wanna get over the past but the memories are hauntin' you, to the point your actions an' this journey you face are based on a single moment in your history. You are worried that you won't be able to overcome what's comin' your way and that you can't prepare enough - even if you take all the strides to do so. Everything inside you says get ready an' move on, but your trapped."
Ofelia pulled her hand from the two cards and smiled at Aria, waiting for permission to continue. She didn't know if she was correct on anything, just reading the cards how they came to her. If any of it was on the mark her companion was certainly an amazing poker face (Ofelia needed to learn how to get a poker face).

"Hm." The non-committal sound was followed by the tilt of her head forward. "Interesting." What do you make of this?
<Kitten, did she not say that this does not foretell the future? It is our current situation.> The presence of her weapon within her mind's eye seemed to shift, giving Aria the impression that the weapon was studying the cards carefully. <Past memories, people, sorrows... It was around this time that it happened, was it not?>
Close, Aria answered. And yet at the same time... There are several things that happened around this time, not just that. Aria reached out and lightly touched the remaining card, glancing up and Ofelia. "I see. And how does this card factor into it all...?"

Aria's continued interest in Ofelia's fortune telling caused the teen to sigh with relief, a gentle and happy smile spreading over her face. She caught herself quickly and shook her head, her cheeks coloring themselves fast enough that they nearly matched the shade of red that claimed her hair, and she placed her fingers on the queen of hearts with the care not to touch Aria's fingers in the process. Another deep breath was taken, almost as though Ofelia was hesitant over what to say next. Really she wasn't, instead just trying to take her time in figuring out how to explain what she needed to and how to keep her accent under control. It was hard!
"The Queen'a Hearts indicates that your a person who looks to support others. Never settling for becoming the best in one thing you have branched yer- your learnin' to everythin' around you. There is nothin' that will keep you from your goals as you try to find a way to complete things to aid those you care for. You have a strong dedication to whatever place you call home, be it a location you have lived in the past or a place you will live in the future - it is always precious to you an' you'll do anythin' for it."
The card turned again, upside down.
"Ambitions for you are skewed, hard to tell. You want things mostly for yourself in regards to helping others, but you're not above trying to promote yourself. It's never for you though, all your ambitions instead a veiled way of getting what you want but not really what you need."
Saying all of that sounded awkward and Ofelia frowned, quickly moving along to place the two sixes, still turned sideways, against the sides of the Queen.
"You've got support in more ways than you know. People are dedicated to you, will follow you, even if they act aloof. A group of people depend on you for more than just words and actions - they look to you as a leader. Your experiences, your sorrow, and your drive, have given you loyalty beyond anything you would have ever thought to come your way. Be warned though, for as much support as you can get there is a chance you will still fail and disappoint so many others."
Her hands moved back from the cards and Ofelia looked up, smiling again. "An' that's yer fortune, Aria."

As Ofelia's fingers landed on the cards, Aria removed her own hand from it. Mist. This card represents the Mist, then, Aria told her weapon quietly as she listened to Ofelia. And all we have is Deus Ex.
<Not so,> Her weapon reminded her quietly. <We can always pick a portal and escape. Go to a city. To the airport or boat, take a bus or train. You could even hoof it. We learned enough to survive on our own.>
And live the rest of our lives out in the wilderness? Hunted by both Halloween and Hunter? No thanks.
<Good answer,> her weapon purred. <I would disown you if you agreed with me. I know that thought has crossed your mind several times before.>
Who hasn't ever thought of that at least once? Aria challenged, trying to focus on what the sun trainee was telling her. You and I both know that we are bound to Deus Ex. There is no way either of us would willingly give it up as hard as it can be at times.
Aria sighed, rubbing the side of her face once Ofelia was finished. "This has been... enlightening," she began, "And yet at the same time... Hm. I'm not entirely sure what to make of it, given the circumstances. Thank you."

"Are ya okay, Aria?" Ofelia's question was not really out of the blue but the look of concern on her face might as well have been. The smile she wore was gone, replaced with a faint frown, and her brows creased themselves slightly downward. "Ah'm bein' frank, an' sorry fer it, but Ah know nottin' 'bout ya an' yer fortune. . . ." She motioned at the cards with a nod of her head. "It's got me a little worried over ya. Ah mean Ah could be seein' it all the wrong way, jus' tell me if Ah am, but is sommin' really botherin' ya?"
It was just like her to get concerned over a stranger, even if the little game of fortune she told in cards was practically nothing to worry over. She just didn't like seeing anyone look troubled and since Aria had rubbed her face Ofelia had good reason to think she was troubled? Or maybe the teen had been entirely off the mark with all of her fortune telling and Aria was annoyed as all get out. That thought actually made her blanch, her tan skin turning a milky shade of cream mocha for a moment. "Errr...."
She wasn't at all sure of what to say next.

Aria stopped herself from replying immediately. She forced herself to take a slow, deep breath to steady herself before looking across the table to Ofelia. "There are aspects about the fortune reading that are relatable to my immediate situation," Aria began. "However, there are some aspects of fotune telling that are meant to be vague in order to seem relatable and therefore become accurate. At this point," Aria reached forward and tapped the cards, "It becomes a matter of deciding whether the cards are accurate, or whether I am thinking too much about the immediate situation and not about something else which they may or may not be relating to instead."
"So to answer your question," Aria stood up. "I am fine. Thank you for the reading, it has given me plenty to think about. Please keep your cards hidden, and do not discuss this in the future." With that, Aria turned and left, her back straight and shoulders held up as if she had not a care in the world.
