"Ah'm sorry." Ofelia didn't have much more to say up to that point in time as she clinched her fists, the feeling of power overlapping her weapons. Rue started her familiar cackle as the attack was released and the teen took a few steps forward before pounding her fists into Marcus.
MORE. MORE, OH MORE. HIT HIM MORE. Her weapon still cackling, Ofelia just let herself punch and punch.

He laughed. "Never be sorry. I mean I-" He didn't finish, her punches getting him head on. "Damn" He coughed out."Nice hits" Dis was begging for retaliation. To get her back. And well, Marcus was inclined to agree. "Very nice charge attack." The blade glowed a strong blue as he lifted it to chest level. "Shall I show you mine?" Thrusting forward he could hear the vampire in his head purring with satisfaction.

Owe owe owe owedfhsdfgsdgfd ouch ow ow ow ow. Ofelia's brain wasn't even registering the level of pain she was feeling, not with this much kicking and screaming being involved, and she staggered around as she refused to be knocked off her feet. Inside her head Rue was yelling at her, telling her she was stupid for not dodging any of it, but at least she stayed standing.
"Ufgh." A groan was really all she could manage before she attempted to hit back, not wanting to accept defeat any time soon.

Marcus laughed. "You ach-" She managed to nick him. Nice comeback, if small. "You get used to hits like that after a while. When we fight abominations they can hit us damn hard if we're not careful." And almost kill them. But, he'd leave that part out, for now at least. Sword went to her side, seeking another taste of her fear.

"Learn ta dodge, got it." Ofelia was basically taking this handing of her a** to herself as a means for her to learn how to dodge and get better at fighting. Her beating of Robert was obviously a fluke (or else he had been really nice to her and let her win), seeing as she was torn up and pretty much in pain from this simple spar with Marcus.
She moved to try and strike at him again after he hit her though she swayed and missed, her legs spreading her her knees buckling in an effort to stay standing. This hurt.

He saw her go down and shook his head. "You alright? Don't push yourself past your limits okay? This is just training after all. Nothing to get too serious about." He didn't want to end up sending her to the infirmary. "Well-" He stepped back. "We'll keep going and if it's too much we can call it a day. I'll treat you to some pizza at the cafeteria alright? Now-" He changed his stance. "Get ready-" He went for her arm in a wide swing.

He didn't want to stop? Good, because neither did she. Even if this was just a spar it was meant to help her learn how to deal with these kinds of situations, right? A monster wouldn't be willing to stop and take a break, wouldn't be willing to allow her a moment's reprieve before tearing into her. She was going to stay standing on her feet no matter what -
- so when Marcus swung his blade down she blocked it with her arm, taking the hit, and launched a rather heavy punch back at his chest. She wasn't going down, not like this. "Ah understand!"

He winced, nodding. "That's what I'm talking out. Keep a good balance and it should be easier to launch and attack and take a blow." She was good at this, even new. Perhaps the new lambs were not going to be so easily led to slaughter after all. Moving to slashing with this blade, Marcus turned sideways, going to a cheap shot punch to her shoulder.

It didn't take a genius to understand that, at the rate she was going, Ofelia was not going to win this fight no matter how hard she tried. It seemed as though her opponent actually just hit harder than her for some reason, and maybe have more health? She really couldn't speculate on it, but when she took another hit she staggered and actually dropped to her knees from the falsified pain. Rue.
I'm not lending you any verbal support. I'm actually hoping he kills you or something, so I can go away.
Ofelia chuckled, or groaned, but managed to get back onto her feet after all. She swung at Marcus and was pleased to make contact, though anything after this was likely to send her down. At least she went down swinging?

He smiled at her willingness to not back. "Good." He wasn't fazed by the fact he was soundly beating her. It tended to happen when he wasn't trying. Fight someone and hope to win, he lost miserably. Fight someone not caring? Apparently he thrashed them soundly.

Apparently, Ofelia didn't know the meaning of the phrase quit while you're ahead or else she likely would have taken up Marcus on the offer. As it was she was swaying somewhat on her feet, the sheild still holding even if it was by just a fraction of a spell. Rue was sighing in her head and the teen shrugged it off, not wanting to give in. "Jus'....one more swing."
Which actually,...amounted to nothing as she took a step forward and fell onto her knees, both of her hands on the ground before her. Fighting was fun but not when she kept getting hurt so badly. Was the difference in strength between her and previous members of the club really this vast? That Robert guy must have been going really easy on her if she'd managed to beat him. "Ugh...mah head is killin' me."
Yeah, maybe it was a good time to give up.

Well, she asked for it. One more swing and a miss for her and- She looked ready to collapse. "Well, don't hold it against me but you really ought to know your limits." It was a simple attack of a gut punch. He wasn't going to risk using his blade when she looked this spent. "We don't hold back, but it's good to know when to retreat and back down or just stop okay?"
He felt bad because- poor girl was going to fall over any second. Win some, lose a lot.

Ofelia coughed, more like hacked, and felt herself suddenly give out. There wasn't much more to say as she toppled backwards before completely collapsing, her legs giving out beneath her. She was unconscious before she hit the ground, and she didn't even have the time to hear Rue's unhappy cackle in her ears at how much of a failure she was.
All she did know was that last punch hurt and for some reason? She didn't try hard enough. Maybe next time, if she was ever aware enough to try again.

Shaking his head, Marcus hoped this wouldn't happen but sure enough, she was out cold. De summoning Dis, Marcus picked the fallen hunter trainee up and pulled her onto his back.
Looks like she'd get her first visit to the life lab staff if she hadn't already.
