Sorry. I thought I replied to this. My blog can be found here. And I may not be on often this week or posting anything big. My computer won't load Gaia properly anymore because I've been fighting to keep at least 10mb of memory open. But I'll be getting my new laptop by Friday. I'll be getting it when my grant check comes in or when Mom gets paid. Which ever comes first.

My laptop's great for games...internet connection not so much. So if I want to play good games, I have to go to my boyfriend's place and steal his wireless. xd

My landlady says our connection should be good. I was talking to her about it the one day when my one homework assignment as asking about our internet. Only way to find out is to test it when I get my new laptop. Which should be after mom gets off of work. My grant check came on Monday.
And ok. So now since the blog project is on 'D' I figured it'd be the perfect time to work on the Djehuty vs Thoth post I've been thinking about. I might actually try starting it today since, in my area, it is a festival day for Him. I'm actually fighting the urge to go veg out in front of the TV while watching House. But then for next week I was thinking of seeing if I can put one together for the duat.

Blegh I have to pay for my own net because dad's too paranoid to get wireless and even thought the other computer has broadband, it's still slower than dial-up. At least I have somewhat fast-ish net and can get my research done.
That'll be something worth reading - I'm in the mood to read all day right now.

That's weird that your broadband is slower than dialup. But even though I bought my new laptop yesterday we dropped it off at one of my mom's friend's and he's upgrading and installing stuff on it for me. So I'll be able to play with it tomorrow. *squee*
And I actually didn't get it started until this morning. Well afternoon. I was sitting in Accounting when I was working on it from my iPod. I had remembered that I had Statistics homework that I had to work on last night. But I'm gonna use tomorrow to look up different sources on Hermes Trismegistus. Mainly because one of the Kemetics I've talked to and reading over some other stuff posted by other Kemetics, they associate the name Thoth with Hermes Trismegistus rather than Djehuty.

I had never heard of Him either until I was talk to a Kemetic and I kept saying Thoth because I didn't know that was His Greek name and she told me I should look into Hermeticism because Hermes Trismegistus is a syncretic combination of Thoth and Hermes. It was like cut me some slack. I told you from the getgo I was new.

Ah interesting.
People like that can be helpful but I do wish they were a little more accomodating to people who are just starting out. They have to remember that they were probably just like that once upon a time.

Sad part was, she quit answering my emails. Then I found her blog. She didn't have time to answer my emails. But she had time to blog about the exact stuff I had been asking her about.

Oh well.
Sorry I haven't gotten the post up yet. I just haven't felt like typing it up for some reason. I haven't really felt like doing much lately. I'm gonna try to post something in my blog today. Hopefully. We'll see how that goes. I've got some stuff to do before my mom comes home and we go meet the kid I'm gonna start babysitting. cat_rolleyes Joy joy. Only reasons I agreed: I need some kind of income and its overnight so the kid will be asleep the whole time I'm there.

Well I hope the babysitting goes well.
I've been alright, busy though. I'm moving back to live on campus at uni so I've been running around to get everything ready...it's so stressful. xp
