Hel shook her head. “I do not want you to help me battle her, Mot. I never did.” Her brows furrowed more. “…I…” She frowned deeper, replaying the last bits of conversation in her head, and found that she was feeling a bit at a loss. Yes…she could fight her own battles…but yes, she was upset that Mot wouldn’t side with her at least. She was upset that she had been scolded when she was of the opinion that Riyo should have been scolded as well…
She was having too many conflicting thoughts, and it showed on her face.

Mot watched her with concern as she seemed to fret over how to word her thoughts. He remained silent for a few more moments, then sighed softly and sat back onto the bed.
"Relax. You're injured, you know." Mot probably shouldn't have riled her up to begin with.
"I'll wait if you need to collect your thoughts."

“Do not care that I am injured.” Hel muttered, reaching up to rub a temple as she tried to sort out her thoughts. Actually…talking about how she felt. It was hard…it wasn’t something she was use to. Back home, feelings and thoughts were fought out, not talked about. If you had a point you wanted to make, you fought about, and if you lost, your point was invalid.
That obviously wasn’t working here.
“…I…I was upset that you would not take my side.” She muttered, staring down at the pillow now. “But I was upset that I am to be punished, when Riyo was equally to blame as well. I do not find it fair that I am the one scolded like I was the only one…I can not help but feel like…if you are not with me, then you are against me.” This thought obviously didn’t sit well with her, but it was how she felt.

Mot was incredibly grateful Hel was finally divulging her feelings. It made it so hard to understand her when she kept it inside. "That isn't true. I'm never against you. I just often don't agree with you." He squeezed her hand, offering a sheepish smile.
He frowned soon after, mulling over all else she had admitted. "I'm sorry i made you feel that way. I didn't agree with Riyo either. She was in the wrong too. My only stipulation is I'd rather try and reason with the ghoul I..." He cleared his throat and continued, "the ghoul I am dating. I feel more responsible for you than I do Riyo."
He leaned down and placed a kiss to Hel's temple. "I'm sorry. I should have scolded her as well. I shouldn't have singled you out."

And after a few words…she immediately felt better. Why was that? Talking….talking about how you felt could clear things up and make you feel better!? Hel was on to something here. Something ground breaking.
“Isn’t not agreeing and not being with the same thing though?” Hel looked a bit skeptical that it was possible to still be on someone’s side but not agree with them. Regardless…she immediately felt better at Mot’s words. The moths went all aflutter as he kissed her temple, and she squeezed his hand in return as she seemed to struggle with something else. “…I…I want to…” She started quietly. “…I want to…apologize to you as well. It was never my intention to make you upset.” There. Now she felt even better.
Afterwards though, Hel just flopped across the cowboil’s lap and wrapped her arms around his waist, nuzzling her head against his stomach. “Jeg savnet deg fryktelig.”

"No, they aren't the same." Mot insisted. "Two people can be on the same side and not agree. Like.. two generals trying to win a war?" That was his attempt at speaking on a level Hel might understand.
Apologize? Mot was not expecting any such thing from Hel. Maybe she was sick.. No.. no if she was sick she'd be more stubborn. He'd seen it. Still, it made him feel good to hear her say that. "Thank you. I appreciate that." He smiled. The situation felt a little better now.
The cowboil was a bit surprised at Hel's actions next, resting a hand on her lower back as she seemed to fling herself at him. He wrinkled his nose at her muffled speech, not able to make heads or tails of it at all. "Pardon?" He asked, baffled at the ghoul's moon speak. For all he knew she could be cursing him!

Oooh, Mot was trying to use a war-like situation. Hel was all over it. “Well…the generals fighting on the same side or against each other in this war?” That was very important to know!
Good. He better appreciate her apology, or else.
Hel turned her head so that she could peer up at him, the hint of a smile pulling at her lips now. Oh? He wanted to know what she said? Alright then. Hel spoke slowly. “Jeg …savnet… deg… fryktelig~!” Someone was being a smart a**.

"...huh?" Mot didn't get what Hel was asking at all. "The.. same?" Maybe war analogies weren't his forte... "Nevermind."
Hel slowing it down didn't help. It was obviously some kind of language Mot didn't know. "Cheeky." He retorted with a smile. "Fine, I didn't want to know anyway."

“Uh…alright then…”
As Mot retorted that he didn’t want to know anyways, Hel’s lips pulled down into a frown, and she rolled onto her back on his lap, staring up at him. “You mean…you do not care to hear about how I feel?” Hel was feigning a hurt tone as she stretched out on his lap, pressing the back of her hand against her forehead as dramatically as she could pretend. The moment was ruined as curled back into herself, a hand pressing against the wound Mot inflicted earlier. Okay…stretching while having that was a terrible idea.
“…I would have gladly taken a head shot, I will have you know. It is pretty hard.” She tapped a temple.

Mot almost felt badly, but Hel's dramatic flourish helped him realize she was teasing.
"I could never shoot you in the head." Mot admitted, petting her hair since she was there in his lap. "Hard skull or not." He smiled, but it faded to more of a frown soon after. He really still hated fighting ghouls. It felt wrong. "I'm sorry you're in pain because of me."

“I think you could…and you should, given the chance.” Hel replied, she smirked lightly, before giving a small shake of her head. “Ah…do not apologize for winning, Mot, you are insulting me by doing so.” The smirk softened into a smile though, and she brought up a finger and made a ‘come closer’ motion with it. Should he choose to heed this gesture, the ghoul would reach up to cup her hands around an ear, and brought her mouth closer to whisper.
“I said I missed you terribly.”

Bah. Mot was feeling like all he could say was the wrong thing at this point. So when Hel beckoned him closer, Mot obliged, turning his head as she cupped his ear.
He smiled fondly and blushed at her words. "Me too." He turned his head down to face her, cupping the back of her neck and leaning in for a kiss.
That's right.
Mot's initiating.
What up?

Wait…her skin tingled and the moths fluttered as she felt his hand on her neck…and…was he leaning it? Hel had a thought. Mot did head shot her…and now she was in Valhalla. Sure, she wasn’t getting served any food or drink…but food or drink had nothing on this.
She didn’t even have to ask…
Yep, Hel was a happy ghoul right now as she just as happily accepted it.

Somehow, Mot had been overcoming his shyness towards acts of intimacy, and now kissing was no longer scary. His stomach fluttered madly, and his face felt flush, but there was no fear or panic anymore. Just a desire to kiss his ghoulfriend. To make her feel as loved as she was. It lasted longer than the soft pecks on the cheek or lips he'd given previously, and it definitely wasn't as light.
He pulled back slowly, eyes opening halfway to look down at the ghoul on his lap. He smiled fondly, a faint twinkle in his eyes. He really liked Hel. She was stubborn and brash, and he often fought with her and disagreed with her, but somehow none of that mattered. He liked her for everything she was.
"I really like you, Hel." He admitted thoughtlessly.

What was up? Seriously. Hel was not complaining, most certainly no. This was a wonderful feeling, and she relished in the prolonged contact and the warmth…but this was rather different than the pecks they’ve shared before. She…hadn’t really done anything to earn such pleasant contact either…
Dark fingers came up to gently touch his cheek as he pulled back, and she stared up at him rather…stunned, and her heart seemed to skip a few beats as he smiled fondly down at her…and there was this look in his eyes. Was she dreaming or dead or something? Hel’s free hand moved to jab that spot in her ribs, and oh, ouch, it really hurt…so…not dreaming…probably not dead either. She brushed her knuckles against his face now, staring up at him for a long moment before she grinned lightly.
“…I really like you too, Mot.” Of that, she didn’t have a doubt.
