Hmmm, a river. Of course he approved of that. "I'd love to see it someday." Perhaps he would, now that he knew where it was. Not exactly, but... enough to find it, he supposed.
The fact that things were being left unsaid didn't even occur to him, really. The cupcake was finished quickly, and the dragon was left to lick off the stray icing that had gotten on his fingers whenever he thought Sarka wasn't looking at him. Waste not !

"If you do, I would be careful," she advised with a light chuckle. "It will be a tricky thing to get them to accept you lot as gods. We, ah, like our traditions." The liontaurs would almost certainly react poorly to someone trying to tell them that Sekhmet wasn't real. "If one of you were like our Sekhmet, perhaps they would be more easily convinced, but..."
Sarka shrugged. "Still, there are places you would like, if you were to visit. The Pool of Peace, certainly. And they might like you in Shapeir and Raseir - they are in the desert, after all."

Sekhmet, uh ? "What does he represent ?" Who knew, maybe the god who had used that name had been reborn, maybe he was even unaware that there were people out there still worshiping him. "I don't know that many of the reborn yet, but if I do, I could mention your people to them..."
His tail moved to dip in the water, if it attracted to it. "I will keep that in mind, then..." These pools certainly made him curious.

"She is many things. Less like you, who represent one thing only. She is...the essence of us, is the most concise way to put it. Fierce and honorable in battle, but also a wise and gentle mother." Sarka's tufted tail waved slowly behind her while she thought. "Even now, it is strange to think that she isn't a real goddess - that all this time, she has been something else, pretending."

Oh, oops. Mental adjustment time ! Well. "That's indeed puzzling..." He mused, but somehow it was hard to think or focus, and he tried to disguise his yawn well. That certainly wasn't polite !
Maybe multiple gods showing the same face ? Through he couldn't remember anything about that. Hn. "It must be strange, indeed..." He agreed. He knew Illisia had been very puzzled at first, but she'd also taken to it so easily.

"I have wondered if she might be an aoide or some other being that you call ageless - perhaps I will find out, one day, although I doubt the priestesses would take it well if I broke open her statue to see what is inside." It was so very tempting, but immediate and dramatic satisfaction of curiosity was not worth being made Honorless...or she might just be struck down outright. Regardless, she would have to find out some other way.
He was getting tired, good; although it was almost a pity their conversation wouldn't last.

"It might be... Or... Maybe multiple gods showing themselves as one..." He'd never heard anything like that, but. Who knew.
Gods could be particular.
He yawned again, more noticeably - but it seemed like the dragon was too caught in conversation to notice. "It depends how receptive, or not receptive, the mortals races can be..."

"Do you really do that?" Sarka was honestly surprised by that possibility. It seemed an odd notion. "Why would you work with other gods to make mortals see you as one god instead of individuals?"

"I don't know. I wouldn't do that." Another yawn, longer. The dragon was slipping away fast now. "Don't see the point. Alliances, maybe."
"Gods can be weird..." Coming from a god of all things. Really, perhaps this was some of Illisia peeking through.
He was struggling to keep his eyes open.

"Indeed." Faint amusement lit Sarka's eyes as the dragon began to drift more and more. Slowly, she stood and stretched. "You seem tired, Xun Jiang. I should leave you to rest."

Tired ? Ah... Well, maybe she had a point.
"Be well, Sarka." He really should go back to his rooms, then... Had he been more awake, he might have pinpointed his current state as something odd, as he'd been perfectly awake
He made his way to standing with some trouble, after the liontaur was out of sight, but it was obvious he wouldn't make it.
...That tree looked mighty comfy, actually...
And so that was exactly what the dragon king did - curled up against the large tree and dozed off.

With the Dragon King successfully put under, Sarka had wasted no time in fetching Rio. They were as certain as they could be that the drug would last at least long enough for one of Rio's arrows to dissolve, as they had tested it on Rio first - the drug, anyway, not the arrow - but the sooner this was done, the better they would all feel about it.
Rio would have liked to be further from the Pantheon, but some things couldn't be helped. With Sarka standing watch for him, he summoned his bow and pulled out the arrow he'd prepared for Ti Lung. At least this would be easier than Glyph - he hadn't had to trick his own daughter to get to Xun Jiang. He could have, but he certainly hadn't wanted to, for practical reasons as well as guilty ones. It would also be one less connection between the 'incidents.'
Taking a deep breath and steadying himself, he released his arrow, which buried itself in Lifewater's heart.
