Nathan Darrow lingering about her house. That definitely was a creepy idea. She noticeably shuddered at the thought before all of a sudden she was plucked up from the ground and set back down close by. And his comment about asking for "his digits" did not help the situation at all.
"N-n-noo! Iwouldn'teverwantthat, nonononono!" she managed to stammer out. Her face was red again, and her eyes were trying to find any sort of distraction to prevent her from focusing on Nathan. Shoes! Right, she had a dirty shoe now! In an awkward little hop, she looked at the heel of the shoe that had been soiled. She'd have to change shoes, which sucked since she only had a small collection of shoes (at least in comparison to her clothing). With a small frown, she began to make her way back to her home.
"...j-just make sure you don't scare Mommy when she gets back home! D-daddy leaves for work soon, so Mommy might just call the police if she feels threatened..."

Nathan laughed at her panic, shaking his head.
"Don't worry, she won't see me."
That was an ominous statement, but he actually meant it innocuously. He was going to be busy looking for Dogby, however long that lasted his interest, then he would just power up and come back when he needed to. No problems. He doubted her mom or her dad, who already did not like Nate, would see him.
He'd have to make sure of it, really.
"Go on, or you'll be even more late and you'll get yelled at."
He turned from her, looking at the bush then deciding Dogby was no longer in it. He shoved his hands in his pockets and moved to try and find her nearby, see if she had left a trail with those stumpy little legs of hers. Stupid cowardly dog. Who was scared of a damn bus?

The girl stopped in step as the boy stupidly tried to tell her how the bus schedule worked. If only he realized how much the girl relied on it, and how well she knew it.
"...the bus won't be back for another hour..."
She didn't even turn to look back at him. What would that have achieved? Him glaring at her? Or him grinning in that awful way? With a big heave of a sigh, she added "...I'm going to let Daddy know that I'll be heading off later... but... you might not want to be around for a bit..."
The large man would probably want to try to help Yvette in her search, and if the mean boy was still there, it probably wouldn't have ended nicely.

Nate frowned.
"I think you're right."
He had learned his lesson there, at least. He'd be back later, when no one was around, to look for the stupid dog. Unless he forgot and played some video games instead. Whatever, he'd be back by the time she got off of work, at any rate.
Nodding his head, he walked off in a hurry, like he was now expecting the large man to burst from the house at any moment. It was like walking into a bear's den: he did not want to have to deal with the fall out of waking the bear up. He wasn't scared though, damn it, and if anyone said he was he would have to prove himself in a reckless and stupid way.
Luckily, he was pretty sure Yvette was not the kind of person who would say anything of the sort.
