Rio couldn't truly say he was disappointed, at least not completely. It wouldn't be fair. From the very beginning, it had seemed almost certain that Two would be host, given the manner of her arrival. He'd expected it to happen sooner or later. And yet...he would have liked to have had her longer, long enough to get to see her recover more fully, to get to know her better as herself.
When she spoke aloud, but clearly not to him, he smiled a little. "You don't have to speak out loud to talk to them. Think, and they'll hear you."
Alex had liked to speak to him out loud regardless, but Two might like more privacy.

"Oh," she said simply when he said she did not have to speak aloud, her cheeks flushing red slightly, even if she wasn't to know this.
Hello? She prodded, wondering if it was the right way to communicate. Rio would certainly be entertained by the faces she was pulling.
Hello, came a reply, though it was quiet.
So... you're the goddess? Two asked, not one hundred percent sure it was a goddess, but there was something about the voice that made her think it was.
Yes, Valli, of Plants, Abundantern Saedis.
Nice... to meet you. Two replied, not quite sure what to make of it all. She was still tired from the joining, evidently her goddess was too, judging from the quietness of her replies.
"She says her name is Valli." This she spoke aloud to Rio, thinking he deserved to know who it was that was taking her over.
Please, give him my thanks.
"She says thank you." Two repeated, then the elf winced, a sudden pain in her head. She was feeling weak again, she could tell the goddess was feeling the same way. The elf moaned, wondering if she would ever feel better.

It was rather entertaining to watch Two's face while she talked with her goddess, mostly because he was very familiar with that sort of internal conversation. He smiled a little, and when the elf spoke again, he assured the pair, "It's nothing, really."
"What goddess is she?" Even as he asked, Two winced, and he moved forward to touch her forehead. "Are you alright?"

"Oh, she said Plants." Two thought she'd said it before, but apparently not. Seemed she was more tired than she realized.
"I'm just exhausted still, it's getting to my head." She replied when he showed concern. It was still strange to her that he was looking out for her, but she wasn't going to deny his help, she was too weak at this point.
Hello? She called out in her conscious, but no reply came back.
"She's gone, I think." Two said again to Rio.
"I think I should go and rest some more." Two nodded, trying to move but finding she was still not strong enough. It wasn't long before the elf had her eyes closed and had fallen asleep on the couch Rio had placed her on.

"She's probably as tired as you are. Fusing takes a fair amount out of us, too, if not in a physical way." It took much more out of the host, of course. Alex had had particular trouble with that, needing to feed so badly she'd nearly killed someone. ...not that she had had the best control under good circumstances, either.
But that was neither here nor there, at the moment. "You should," Rio agreed, promptly scooping her up again and taking her across the hall into Adi's old room, where he put her gently on the bed. She should be able to rest better here, where no one else would come in and disturb her.
Once she was settled, he left and shut the door behind him.
