After spending a few moments looking at the books lining the shelves of the bookcase in her new room, Cleo decided to venture back downstairs. She had considered for a few moments to just stay in her room, but decided that she couldn't hide out there forever. Eventually she would have to meet the three women that had invited her there, as well as the other guests staying there. Maybe she would even make a few new friends. Leaving her room, she realized that she had no idea where to even go, or what there was to do in the castle. Chewing on her bottom lip for a moment, Cleo decided that she would try to find the kitchen. She was starving, she hadn't had anything to eat in nearly a day, and even then it had only been a tiny meal made up of two bruised apples.
So, with that decision, Cleo made her way back down the staircase in search of the kitchen. Surprisingly, Cleo had a fairly easy time at locating the kitchen and paused for just a second in the doorway. The kitchen was beautifully decorated like the rest of the castle, with marble counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and even an island in the middle. Cleo had always loved to cook, and make potions, and could just imagine how fun it would be to cook in a kitchen like this. They probably had every appliance under the sun there.
Walking farther into the large kitchen, Cleo's shoes made a click-clack sound on the floor as she walked over to the fridge and opened it. Peeking inside, Cleo searched for something that she might like. On the bottom of the fridge, she found a bottle of Dr. Pepper, and then she gathered up the ingredients for a salad. Sitting the items on the counter, Cleo then started to look through the cabinets for a bowl and fork. Hopefully, she thought opening the cabinet on the end, the bowls were on the lower shelves. Cleo had what could be called a petite frame -AKA short- so anything on the top shelves were far out of her reach.

Dahlia lazily made her way to the kitchen to get herself something to eat. She found her way surprisingly easy and got there quickly enough. The kitchen was better and bigger than she had imagined it, and she saw that there were many other slaves there enjoying their food. She had known there were other slaves but she had not expected to encounter any of them. Dahlia looked around for a plate and a cup along with stuff for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. She found all that she needed and started making her breakfast at a leisurely pace, humming a quiet tune while doing so. Unless she wanted to hypnotize someone, she never sang aloud when others were present. She just didn't want to cause any confusion and problems.

Who She's With:
Cleo was just finishing getting her salad ready and left the bowl sitting on the counter while she put the stuff back in the fridge when she heard someone else come into the kitchen. She looked up quickly, worried for a second that it might have been one of the owners, angry that she'd been messing around in the kitchen, but relaxed her shoulders a bit when the other girl just went about making her own meal. She tilted her head a little at the girl making the peanut butter and jelly sandwich. She might have been wrong, but if she suspected that the girl might have been a slave as well. Cleo mostly just assumed that because of something about the way girl acted. Which was probably similar to the way Cleo herself acted in some ways.
Cleo walked over and picked her salad bowl up, but paused before leaving, chewing on her bottom lip for a moment. She could go back to her room and eat her salad alone there. . . or she could speak with the girl. Cleo wasn't exactly the type to start conversations with random people, but she also wanted to meet a few of the other people there. And watching the girl hum to herself, Cleo thought that she seemed like she might nice enough.
Making up her mind, Cleo sat the bowl with her salad in it back onto the counter. "Hi, I'm Cleo," she said, giving a small smile to the other girl.

Dahlia finished preparing her pb&j sandwich, clapping the two pieces of bread together happily. She served herself some milk and was about to be on her way before she heard someone say hello. She turned in the direction she heard the voice coming from to see another girl slave much like herself. Dahlia smiled, "Oh, hello!" she said with a glad tone. She put her stuff down and curtsied, bowing her head slightly before coming back up. "Nice to meet you Cleo, I'm Dahlia." she extended a hand for a handshake after introducing herself. It wasn't often that she spoke to other slaves and it gave her some bit of relief knowing that she wasn't the only who thought making friends wasn't a bad idea. Sometimes Dahlia would come across a slave that didn't want to make friends just with the sole idea that goodbye's would be more hurtful once they were bought and taken away.

Who She's With:
Cleo smiled at the girl, who had introduced herself as Dahlia, and shook the girl's hand when she offered it. She had, for a brief second after she spoke, worried that maybe she shouldn't have. She'd came across a few slaves that preferred to keep to themselves and didn't like to make friends, and she hadn't actually thought about the fact that maybe Dahlia was one of them that wanted to be left alone. Cleo was relived to see that she wasn't like that.
She was a little curious what the girl's species was, Cleo wasn't at great that guessing. There wasn't anything obvious about her, so there were no clues. She was also a little curious about how old the girl truly was because of the curtsy, that made her think she was much older than she appeared, much like Cleo herself. It had been a long time since Cleo had seen a curtsy or bow. She suddenly hoped that Dahlia didn't think she was being rude by not returning it, it was just. . . well, even back when it was common for women to curtsy and men to bow, Cleo had been horrible at curtsying; she'd always fallen on her butt whenever she tried.
"Nice to meet you, too, Dahlia," she said. After she shook Dahlia's hand, Cleo let go and let her hand drop to her side again. "I uh, I just got here not too long," she said, gesturing her hand towards the castle in general. "Seems like a nice place, so far. Are you new here, as well?" Cleo asked. She almost cringed at her own question, could she have came up with a lamer question? Cleo was, to say the least, not exactly the best at conversations, but at least she was trying, right?

Dahlia smiled politely, "No, I've been here for awhile. Not exactly sure how long though.." she said to Cleo, putting her finger up to her chin and pondering exactly how long she had been there. She shrugged the thought away and let her hand fall back down to her side. "So do you want to go sit down and eat?" she asked, noticing that Cleo had prepared a salad for herself. Dahlia picked up her glass of milk and her plate and began to walk out.
((I'm guessing we head to the Den?))

Cleo raised an eyebrows, slightly surprised when Dahlia said that she'd been at the castle for a little while. She considered for a second asking her if she'd met the owners yet, but decided against it for the moment, since she didn't want to seem like she was being nosey.
"Oh, yeah, sure," Cleo said, nodding her head when Dahlia asked if she wanted to go sit down and eat. She had almost forgotten about the den she'd passed on the way to the kitchen. Cleo turned around and picked up the bowl with her salad in it and the bottle of Dr. Pepper before turning and leaving the kitchen.
OOC: Sure, sounds good to me.

 ℓєиωë тîωєℓєтяαιи ℓιкє α мα¢нιиє
∂αи¢є ℓιкє α ѕσυℓ
¢σмє, ∂αи¢є ωιтн мє... Timidly opening the door, Lenwë looked to see if there was any one there. He didn't see anyone, so in he walked, still feeling a little self-conscious. Go figure that when he was in tights and everyone could see his entire body outlined in thin fabric, he was perfectly at ease. But in most of a suit, he felt out of place. The elf waved off a servant that came to help him, wanting to do it on his own. Looking in the fridge, he figured out what he wanted to eat. The first thing his eyes caught was the gallon of milk. With a crinkling of his nose, he voice his opinion on that one. "Two percent? Who drinks that?" Instead, he looked to the vegetables and found a wonderful variety of them. He pulled out a few of the bundles and closed the fridge with his foot on the way out.
Setting all of this on the counter, he looked for a cutting board, a vegetable knife, a pan, and the olive oil. He set all of this up and looked to his veggies. Starting with the broccoli, he started tearing off florets and leaving them on the board. Once he had plenty, he turned on the heat under the pan and put some olive oil to warm. Next came the carrots, then the snow peas, and asparagus, and spinach. It really was just a hodge-podge of veggies; and now it was all crackling and popping merrily in the pan. While they did, he went to look for some noodles to boil. After about twenty minutes, he added the noodles to the frying pan and stirred them up quickly so they wouldn't stick.
After all was cooked, he scooped it onto a plate and took the pans over to the sink. Rolling up his sleeves, he awkwardly tried cleaning everything with his right hand, seeing as he didn't want to get his bandages wet. Fortunately, soap cut through grease fairly easily, and he wasn't much in the habit of burning his food. Once these were wash and put away, he found a fork and sat down at the island with his plate. With a sigh of contentment, he thought of the last time he was allowed to eat whatever he pleased. His last willing meal in Germany had been Sauerkraut Chowder that had been absolutely horrendous. He smiled at the memory, thinking that even his best meal with the slavers had been worse than that. Perhaps now he wouldn't have to worry about it. He continued eating, holding the fork carefully in his left hand, so as not to disturb his dressed wounds.
Once he was finished eating, he rinsed his plate off and set it in the sink. With a yawning stretch, he started heading back to his room. He figured it would be easier on him if Alaric could find him. Besides, sleep for a few more hours was the next thing on his list.

Sarazain nodded her head. "You seem to break down a lot, and I get the feeling that it's dangerous around you when you do," she informed, being honest. Though she was powerful in her own right and at her age, Ryoxu just seemed like the kind of person she did not want to be near without some kind of protection. Indoors, there was little protection she could use other than her wind magic. When they arrived at the kitchen, Sarazain let go of his hand and began to look around. With a bit of magic, she was able to open and close the cabinets out of her reach. When she found what she was looking for, she used magic to make herself jump higher than normal and grab a loaf of bread. "I saw a jar of peanut butter in that cabinet. Could you get it please?" she asked. Even if she grew to be an adult, this would still be one of her favorite sandwiches. (OOC: Just going with the kitchen being a big place.)

Ryoxu Demante
"Oh, I'm sorry. Controlling it is a work in progress. The ony thing is give me a lot of pain." he tried to explain without telling the whole truth. It is a work in progress but he didn't want to scare the girl off. As they entered the Kitchen, he saw her use her power to make some of the cabinet doors that were far from her reach open. As she told him where the peanut butter was, he quickly grabbed it. It smelled different and Ryoxu wasn't sure he wanted to eat any of it. He put the peanut butter on the counter for Sara and he then went to look in the fridge. He found some sausage links that gave off somewhat of an okay smell. He grabbed them and then looked for a frying pan. He remembered how to cook them from an old female that was nice enough to teach him a little bit of the world before he moved on. Turning on the stove, he placed the frying pan onto it. He waited a few moments before ripping open the pacjage and throwing the links onto the pan. The sound of sizzling soon filled the kitchen as did the aroma. As he cooked he couldn't help sniffing the air. As soon as the links were done, Ryoxe found a good sized plate before placing all four links on the plate. Finding a fork and knife, Ryoxu waited for Sara to finish.

"Thank you," Sarazain said when he handed her down the peanut better. She thought his face had changed slightly when he got the jar, but did not think it would be polite to ask him. While he cooked his food, she got to work on hers, getting out two slices of bread and a jar of jelly. She placed the bread into a toaster and got herself a butter knife while the bread toasted. When she finished making her sandwich, toasted PBJ cut into four triangles, she sat her plate down on the counter before getting herself a glass of milk. Once all that was done, she got her plate and walked over to a table, then sat down. "You said you were from another realm. Do you miss it?" she asked. She had never met anyone from other worlds or realms, other countries, but never someone like Ryoxu.

Ryoxu Demante
Also pouring himself a glass of milk, Ryoxu placed the milk back in the fridge. Putting the knife and fork on the plate, he carried the plate and the cup to the table that Sara was now sitting. Pulling out a chair, her question caught him by surprise. Taking his time, he sat down and took a sip of the milk. His eyes widened at the taste and so he took another sip. Realizing that her question could not go unanswered, Ryoxu put down the cup. "Yes and no... I don't really want to get into it... It brings up some bad memories that I would rather forget." he replied. It was getting harder and harder to not tell her what really happened, but he was sure that remembering it by recalling it would make Ryu extremely angry. And he wasn't in the mood to go through another episode with him. Not that he had much of choice some times. Picking up the knife and fork, he cut a piece of the sausage off before sticking it into his mouth. As he chewed he savored the taste. ((Writer's block))

Sarazain watched him a minute as he spoke, then nodded. "Okay. Sorry," she apologized, then picked one of the four slices of sandwich and began eating. The bread was still warm, soe the peanut butter and jelly also tasted a bit warm. She did not usually have a sandwich like this, but preferred it this way because the bread did not stick to the roof of her mouth as much. (OOC: Ditto.)

Alaric Ferdind პ Mary Anne Willow After Alaric had dried Mary Anne's hair, they had departed together to search for their cute little servant. A small smile donned Alaric's face while Mary Anne's expression was more solemn and dark. Her hand gripped onto Alaric's jacket tightly and her pace was more hesitant, slowing both of them down. The older vampire would occasionally glance down at the child but he never made an effort to comment. The two simply walked in silence.
Alaric walked through the many halls like he knew where exactly he was going despite the foreign layout of this large castle. However, there was no particular place he intended to go, and this became apparent when he entered the kitchen where a few others were located. Alaric simply scanned the room, before finding some chairs to sit at. Thankfully, the blinds were closed, blocking out the sun's dying rays.
"Why are we here?" Mary Anne asked suddenly. Why had Alaric led them here? They were incapable of eating food so why come to the kitchen? Mary Anne looked at Alaric with a confused expression while she awaited his explanation.
"To wait for Lenwe of course. I do not yet know where his room is so we shall come to the next place he would come to, which is the kitchen. I'm sure boy has had nothing to eat so he will come here before going to the studio," Alaric replied.
"Lenwe..." Mary Anne mumbled quietly, remembering how she had bitten him.
"Stop punishing yourself child," Alaric said sharply. "There is no reason to be ashamed of your actions," he continued a little more gently as he placed a hand on the side of Mary Anne's face.
The blonde vampire looked up at Alaric before lowering her gaze to the floor.
