She crept ever closer to the cave, and she found the source of the snore. It was a massive lump of fur!! Naoki stuck out her paw and poked. At first nothing happened, then a pair of bloodshot eyes met hers. She lept back as the fur grew, the sported legs!! And teeth!! "Sh-Shinta!!!" She ran off and knew the living lump of fur was not far behind her.

Shinta looked over at the source of the sudden yell he ran over to Naoki when she ran from the cave and saw the bear behind her. he rushed over and grabbed her with his mouth and pulled her into a bush. then walked off to go distract the bear.

Naoki peered from the bush that Shinta drug her too. She couldn't sit there and just watched. So she slipped around Shinta and the bear so the bears back was facing her. She hid in bush behind him and waited. She could easily jump on his back from here... She just needed the right opening.

shinta started avoiding the bears claws, getting clipped on the shoulder as he dodged, however he was able to get the bears back towards Naoki, with its attention solely on him."Ok naoki I got it distracted get outta here' he thoughtto himself.

When the bears back was turned she pounced on the bears back and tore into the back of its neck. The bear reared up and flung Naoki off. She was unprepared and it sent her flying into the mountain. She shakily got up, at least she did some damage, and she was to pumped and pissed to back down now, she lunged again at the bear, this time getting a better grip on its neck.

Shinta reeled back from the pain, however turned and saw Naoki wrestling a bear. He couldnt let her get hurt, nor could he let her have all the fun. He cranked back and lunged at the bears gut, so that they could knock it over. and gain an advantage.

Naoki's aura started to flex and wrap around the bear, engulfing herself and the bear and dark shadow. Then Shinta toppled the bear, but she was on his back and went down too. She winced as the heavy animal toppled on her but she still held her grip. It wouldn't be long now till it was dead.

Shinta continued to strike at the bear to weaken it, he saw that Naoki was under it and his eyes started to show panic. He needed this to end as quickly as possible or Naoki could get hurt."Hold on Naoki hes almost down!" he goweled and bit at the bears jugular hoping to finish it faster.

Finally. The thrashing bear seized to move. Naoki tried to get out from under the bear but it was difficult, and soon she was finding it harder to breathe. She had blood around her mouth and running down her chest. Luckily it wasn't hers. She grunted and tried to squeeze out but failed. "Shinta..."

Shinta jumped off the bear and ran to where Naoki was. nudging the bear forward he tried to give her some leverage to move and escape."come on Nao Ill help you out." he started pushing the corpse over with all his might. hoping he could move it enough to get her free.

With Shinta's help she could feel the spot that had the most pressure on her start to get lighter. With another grunt she weaseled her way out. Once she was out she took deep breathes. Her ribs ached from the extra weight that was on them. Naoki looked over at Shinta and frowned. "We need to get that cleaned off..."

Shinta nodded in agreement."yeah lets get to some water and get the blood off. let the vultures take the bear." he groweled looking back at it with anger running in his eyes.He didnt care about the bear as long as Naoki was okay."lets go look at you too. check for injuries

"Im fine really..." She wasn't sure if she was lying or not. She still felt a little pain when she breathed and had a slight limp when she walked. She sniffed the air, there was water nearby. "Come on... I think there is a lake or something over here." She nudged Shinta in the right direction, staying close incase they needed support from each other.

Shinta followed Naokis lead limping towards the lake. his shoulder still hurting. when he looked over he saw a small amount of blood, definitely from where the bear got his shoulder. he cringed at the small amount of pain, but then gave Nao a reassuring smile.

Naoki found a shaded spot and had Shinta sit there. She carefully took off his jacket and laid it nearby. "I'll clean you up." She really didn't care about herself at the moment. She looked around for something she could use to carry water in. Then she saw an odd looking rock that had a groove in it. Perfect. She grabbed the rock and filled it with water. She also cleaned off her tail a bit. "This might hurt and I'm sorry..." Using her sopping wet tail she cleaned of the wound. It wasn't perfect but it would do for now.
