"But, Zac," The lanky blonde leaned heavily on the counter, lowering her freckled face until it matched the height of the poor fellow's, her dark eyes meeting his in a way that was almost too-convincingly intense. "You're so beautiful. How do you expect me to resist?"

Holding out the soul-searching moment just long enough to watch him turn red, Kess swiped a strawberry, before straightening back up and offering Zac a cheshire grin. "Lunch was awesome," She tilted her head to indicate Daphne, "Daph brought you a doggy bag."

There was a lack of fanfare as she bit into the strawberry, flashing the teen behind the counter a thumbs-up to show her approval, and turning her attention to the displays. "Is it fresh or dried?" She indicated the pineapple rings with raised brows.

Candy stores were strange, strange places.

Stricken would be a good word for how Zac looked when Kess leaned on the counter with half lidded intense eyes and quipped about him being ‘Beautiful’. “J…Just eat the damned strawberry.” He stammered and then wound up slack jawed as Daphne snatched half the strawberry that Kess had been eating and finished it.

He latched on to the idea of dubious pineapple like it was a lifesaver, no pun intended on the shape. His cheeks still turned a marvelous shade of red. It seemed that without his mask to save him it was a great deal easier to ‘get’ to him.

“The Pineapple are disgusting in my opinion, I think she just wanted a reason to duplicate those fruit-wedge flower baskets that they keep advertising at one of the other shops. “Here, quickly eat this fruit! Most of which you won’t like but all of it’s going to spoil if you don’t hurry!” He said dripping sarcasm about the marketing. “Worse than getting someone a mixed box of cream fillings, just get them a damned gift card so we don’t have people trying to return a half eaten chocolate ‘because they didn’t like it’. He ranted in fine form at least, or did until he realized he’d gone on a tangent that probably sounded ridiculous from an outside perspective.

Clearing his throat he muttered a quiet thank you about the Pad Thai.

"You just share with everyone?" Okay so maybe she needed to button down and get serious about work. Daphne did always feel just a smidge guilty when she was at work and not a whole lot was getting done. She and Zac both were aware that the other employees were at best functionally retarded, at worst blonde. Having that thought her caramel eyes brushed across Kess' own crop of hair, mentally rearranging that statement. Clueless blonde. Kess was anything but clueless, usually picking up on small verbal and physical cues the bluenette wasn't entirely aware she was putting out.

Pushing her hands out in a shooing motion the teen moved her friend from the counter, following with a spray bottle and rag to remove all marks from the glass. Nothing drove the pair of them crazier than fingerprints on the glass unles it was a child's sticky, nasty little tongue where they tried to lick the candy through the barrier. Even thinking about it had her wincing.

"Kess you should probably go before Zac drags you into the back room to let off steam. I mean look at him, he can barely keep it in his pants with you around. What kind of family-friendly work environment are you trying to make here?" Reaching over with a free hand, she tugged Kess by her jacket, a sly look in her eyes, planting a friendly kiss on her cheek. "I'll call you, thanks so much for lunch."
