Shina frowned. She had been letting Anna battle however she liked, as the Furret was extremely aggressive and driven, but this battle that didn't seem to be working. "Anna, freeze her!" Shina shouted. The air around Anna crisped, then an icy wind blew off of her as the moisture in the air crystalized and began to whip about like stinging needles of ice.

"Geeeennng--" Dreydonna suddenly froze in the air, but she put on a wacky expression first. She was frozen staring down at the furret with crossed eyes and a wide grin with her long tongue hanging out.
The only problem was that, frozen solid, she was too heavy to float in the air any more. She fell down and bounced a short ways down the street before she just chilled out.
"Hang in there, 'Donna!" she called. "It'll melt off soon!"

"Ah, no fair!" Zin whined as Dreydonna gained a new layer of ice. But she had used such tactics herself in the past, so she really couldn't complain.
Dreydonna was beginning to regret having decided to stick her tongue out before being frozen...

Dreydonna could do nothing but take the attack. She managed to start wiggling a little, though... Soon she'd be free!

"She's about to get free! Blizzard again! You can't take another attack!" Shina said. Annoyed at the implication that she couldn't take a funny-faced ghost, Anna nonetheless called the cold again.

"Oh... oh no..." Zinnia said, quite upset. This time, Dreydonna was trapped in an extremely thick casing of ice. It would take her a long time to thaw out and go free... In fact, it would most likely take too long. Zinnia couldn't help but feel disappointed; as a trainer, she was used to her fair share of losses in a battle, but it seemed that she was losing a bit more than was her fair share, lately! To add insult to injury, now she could do nothing when she and 'Donna were just one move away from winning.
But she couldn't let herself get so depressed and frustrated! She was the eternal optimist; they still had a chance.

Dreydonna tried to flail as she was forced to endure the attack helplessly, but she was still frozen stiff. Ha! A stiff. That would have been a good joke if she weren't in such mortal peril. Ho ho ho, she just cracked herself up. A shame it didn't put a crack in the ice.

Dreydonna started to get some feeling back in her tongue. What a relief; she might regain full use of it someday. She tried to laugh as Anna's attack missed, but it didn't work very well beneath the sheet of ice.
Zinnia tried to pull herself together. Not all hope was lost. It just... didn't look very promising. But she couldn't give up, not so long as her pokemon were willing to try.

Shina bit her lip. Order another Blizzard? It had a high rate of failure. Another Shadow Ball wouldn't be enough, and it rarely resulted in a critical hit. Shadow claw had a higher rate of critical hits, but also a higher rate of failure. She nodded firmly. Anything but a successful freeze or a critical hit would lose the match. She had to play the odds. "Anna, Shadow Claw!"
Anna gleefully ran forward, shimmering shadow claws reaching for Dreydonna.
