It almost felt like a physical blow when Asch admitted to it. Sure she knew that he didn't want her mixed in with what ever was going on with him but stealing? Natalia tried, really tried, to understand why Asch would be in a job where he stole other peoples pokemon. The only explanation would be the people who took him from her in the first place but why? The noblewoman looked from Asch to Guy and back again as if maybe the situation would be clearer if she just kept looking.
What did become clear though was Guy starting to look even more edgy then before now that Asch had confessed and his pokemon looked ready for anything. Out of reflex she stepped between them then paused afterwards. "Asch I..." She wasn't sure was to say though.

Asch frowned at Natalia, and ignored Guy for the most part. So this was how it was going to be. He could see the look of disbelief and sorrow on her face. She would reject him, and why was he not surprised? This was how it had to be, wasn't it? It was selfish of him to think things could be the way they were before. Not to mention unrealistic. He was a bad person now, after all, and Natalia was untainted. She could never understand. He wasn't the same person he had been a long time ago.
"What?" Asch snapped back bitterly. "What did you expect? That things would be different? That they could be the same as they were before?! Don't be stupid, Natalia."
With that he turned his back to her and Guy. "I'm not him anymore! You should just stay away from me!"

The moment Asch snapped at her, Natalia straightened up and pushed he feelings away to deal with later. "Yes I might have thought that maybe it could go back. And yes it is a foolish dream. But I understand that, I do, and know that what ever has passed since then has changed you." She shook her head at him when he told her to stay away from him.
"Even if you do have a job that has you steal pokemon, even if you are different and I don't know you as well anymore yet, I'm not staying away." She didn't even think about how weird it might sound to Guy. All she knew was she did not want to let Asch leave and she wanted to get to know him again. The thought of him leaving again, this time on his own choice, made her panic.

Guy blinked in blatant surprise as Natalia stepped in between him and Asch. Was she defending him? "Lady, what are you-?" Before he could fully voice his thought, Asch suddenly snapped at Natalia, talking about how he wasn't someone anymore...? What on earth was he talking about? And what did he mean by 'the same as before?' Just how long had he and the Lady known each other?
As the two lashed back and forth at each other, Guy took a step backwards, confusion written all over his face. He had absolutely no clue what either of them were talking about at this point, and it was only proving to frustrate him further and further. When Lady Natalia said out loud that she would not stay away, Guy, for a split second, literally gaped in shock at the noblewoman. "What do you see in him?" he whispered quietly aloud to himself.
Louder now, Guy spoke as he took a cautious step towards Natalia. "Lady, what is going on? What are you talking about?"

At Natalia's words, there was silence from Asch for several moments as he mulled this over. Despite everything, she still wasn't giving up? Heh, well he supposed that was the stubborn side of her. He would have been surprised if she had just given up easily. But still, it didn't quite make sense in his mind. He'd fully admitted to stealing Pokemon, he had obviously changed, and yet she was still willing to go after him?
"What would you do that?" he then asked in a calmer tone, not turning around. Why was she so determined not to let him go, even after what had happened before. Even after everyone else had given up on him, or rather didn't even realize he had been gone in the first place. Why?
He could hear Guy's questioning words in the background but chose to not say anything about them.

Natalia glanced at Guy, barely even focusing on him, something she would apologize to her friend later. But right now her attention was in making sure Asch wouldn't do something she would regret like walking off forever. She looked back at Asch before walking around him to face him with a determined look.
"Because like I said, you have changed in more ways then one, your name, your attitude of everything in general, having a secret job that leads to stealing..." She paused to take a breath before locking eyes with him. "But you are still a part of that boy I remember," a step closer "still that boy I made a promise with," one more step "still my fiance, not your twin," a blush darkened her cheeks slightly, "and the young man I am starting to get to know again." After her mini speech she put her hands on her hips and glared at the teen before her. "And you aren't getting out of this that easily."
She REALLY hoped she hadn't said too much and it sounded too close to a love confession then she was happy with. But it was apparent that some where towards the beginning she had forgotten Guy was even there.

Having nothing to say [and currently being pointedly ignored, much to his chagrin], Guy stood silently in the background, watching this exchange with a mix of frustration and utter confusion. How could Lady Natalia speak to that lowlife when he was nothing but a thief and a liar?! It was making Guy furious. However, something that the Lady said struck him and made him pause. She called Asch... her fiance? But, that didn't make any sense! Luke was Lady Natalia's betrothed, not this lookalike! And then she had said 'your twin...'
Wait a second. Guy's thoughts raced in his head. He recalled the day of the contest, the day he first confronted Asch... Asch had called him by his name. His real name: something that Guy had not told anyone but for a single soul many years ago. He told it to Luke before his rather convenient kidnapping and bout of amnesia and had not told the boy since then. And now, Natalia was calling Asch - not Luke - her fiance, and was talking about some twin? And it was so uncanny how both Asch and Luke looked so similar...
"...Oh my God."
In one swift, fluid motion, Guy had drawn his sword and held it to Asch's neck. There was murder in Guy's narrowed blue eyes, and he spoke through gritted teeth. "All right, who are you? Really?" His hand clenched the handle of his blade so that it ached, but his arm did not waver. "Don't tell me you're..." At the moment, Guy could have cared less about the punishment Lady Natalia might deal him. He wanted answers, damn it, and he was fed up with being ignored.

Asch stood there and stared at Natalia as she did her speech, keeping his expression carefully neutral. He watched her as she continued to step closer, not moving nor saying anything. Her words were foolish ones, and yet they struck some cord in his soul. The fact that he wasn't getting out of this so easily just drew a 'hmph.' But before he could speak, there was suddenly a sword up against his neck, and Asch's eyes narrowed.
Tilting his head back slightly to glare cooly at Guy, Asch knew him well enough to know he had no intention of harming him... this time. Thus he simply raised his hand and pushed the blade away.
"Fine. I won't," Asch replied in a biting tone towards Guy before looking at Natalia.
"You have no idea what you're trying to get yourself into! You should stop while you're still ahead 'princess'." Using her nickname in an almost mocking tone. Any connection they had to him, could land them in very big trouble, and really.. Asch didn't want to see either of them hurt. Especially Natalia.
"I don't have time for this!" And with that, he started marching off yet again.

She had been nervous about how Asch would take her speech but it had been derailed twice, once by Guy putting a sword to Asch's throat("Guy! What are you doing?!") and once by Asch trying to push her away like she was a little girl who had to be wrapped in bubble wrap from the real world. All that added up to her temper snapping when her fiance started to walk away from her.
"LUKE FON FABRE GET BACK HERE NOW!" She said in a commanding voice while pointing at the spot in front of her. He wanted the 'princess' he could have the 'princess'. "Do not walk away from me!" She then turned her head to glare at Guy for helping escalate the situation. "Put that away if you want answers!"

Guy scowled as Asch brushed his sword aside like it was nothing and was about to raise it again before Asch quickly turned to walk away. Guy stepped forward so as to give chase, but he stopped mid-stride as a livid-sounding Natalia shouted after Asch ... or Luke? Guy held his sword loosely by his side, giving the Lady a pleading, questioning look. "But-! That's not Luke! ...Is he?" Guy could hardly tell who was who anymore.
The seething glare from Natalia was enough to make Guy stand down, and he silently wished he had not invoked her wrath. "Yes, Lady," he said meekly as he sheathed his sword.

As soon as those words came out of Natalia's mouth, Asch stopped dead in his tracks. But even though Guy backed down, it was evident from the clenching of Asch's hands that he was not going to do the same. Red hair whipped around as Asch suddenly turned and directed a seething glare back at Natalia.
"I told you not to call me that!" he roared back at her. "That's NOT my name anymore! It belongs to that imbecile that replaced me seven years ago! He took my family, my life, EVERYTHING from me! And not one of you even noticed! Do you honestly think that your sudden realization and demands are going to make me come back now?! FORGET IT!"

Guy's obedience smoothed a bit of her frayed temper as it meant that there might be a chance to talk this out like civilized people. Then Asch spoke. She kept her self ramrod straight and put her hands on her hips with a glare of her own at Asch. Vaguely a part of her remembered ho mad she had been with Asch that first night they had met up again and how similar it was to now.
"Well it got your attention like it was supposed to didn't it?!" It also helped that she didn't know what last name Asch was going by now so she couldn't yell that in the same way. "He did not take everything from you! Or did you even BOTHER listening to me just a short while ago? Or maybe that doesn't even matter to you! And of course we never noticed! I was 11 and Guy was 14! We didn't know that much about medical and we trusted the adults stupidly!" She really didn't want part of her yelling to be responded to, she really didn't. She would much rather stay in the dark then have that part confirmed.
Though it seemed like it wouldn't matter soon anyway if Asch really did leave for good. A shock of terror that, that would happen shot through her, fueling her anger.

Guy's eyes shot open wide at Asch's outburst, and he could find no rebuttal for it. Dumbstruck, he just stood by Lady Natalia, trying to take in all that he had said. Could he really believe that this young man, this thief and swindler, was the young Luke that had disappeared so many years ago? There was some similarities, yes... He had the same stoic, serious attitude that the old Luke had, but even still...
A wave of guilt suddenly washed over Guy's head as he listened to the two furious young adults lash at each other. So, all of this time, they had all been deceived that Luke had lost his memories? This was the real Luke? It was something that Guy had trouble comprehending. He couldn't believe it. He tried to imagine this angry young man as the child Guy had grown up with, but every time all he could see was the happy face of the Luke he knew now: the one that had long since been his best of friends. Even if this Asch was Luke once... He would never be the Luke Guy knew.
The guilt in Guy's heart was replaced with a burning anger, and he sighed exasperatedly. He had had enough of this. "You know what, Asch - or Luke, or... whatever. You want me to forget it? I will. You might have been Luke to all of us - to me - back then, but the one I serve now... The one who has been my best friend for seven years: that's the real Luke to me." Glaring, Guy turned away from Asch and Lady Natalia. "Lady, I'm taking my leave." Without another word, he began to walk away, his Zoroark casting one backward glance at the other two humans before following his master.

Despite his anger, Asch suddenly realized who he was yelling at and stopped to close his eyes and regain his composure. She just didn't get it. But then should he have really expected her to? What was he trying to prove anyway? This was just ridiculous.
It wasn't until Guy spoke that he opened his green eyes again and looked towards the blond. He didn't seem at all angry by his words. No it was fine. That's what he had wanted right? It was what he had expected at the very least. He was not "Luke" to them and shouldn't be. He wasn't Luke anymore.
"Fine," Asch said stoically before looking back at Natalia with a stern frown. "You should follow his example."
And with that he turned and walked away in the opposite direction.

Granted she did feel like Luke was Luke and Asch was Asch, and she certainly wouldn't begrudge Guy from feeling the same. But Natalia was not happy with how he worded that. Nor was she happy how Asch responded to it. She just stood there as they both left until she was alone. She bowed her head and clenched her fists that shook with a pent up emotion cocktail as the meeting that had started out well but turned explosive in the end replayed in her mind. Did that mean Asch would leave for good? Was Guy going to hate Asch more now that he knew he was the past Luke?
Finally her head snapped up and she smoothly grabbed her bow and an arrow before pulling it back and letting it fly. As the tip of it sunk into a tree she glared at hit, gripping her bow tightly. After that was done she turned and walked off in the direction of the hotel she was staying at, just saying one word in disgust. "Boys!"
