Special notes on the next OC: She has magic. I got her skills approved by King. Why because I felt that even though this is not an AJ character type magic should still be approved to used properly.
Skills and stipulations. Light Mist- Time limit 10-20 minutes unless she is running on fear then she can hold out for 30 minutes. Cool down time 3-4 hours unless she pushed herself for the 30 minute mist. Then cool down is 5-6 hrs. The more she uses the mist in a day the harder it is each time so the period she can hold the mists shrinks each time.
Finding water- She has to in walking distance to the water to actually find it. The closer it is the better.
Sensing rain- She can only tell it will rain about an hour before it does rain on her best days. Most of the time the warning will be much shorter about 10 minutes before the first drop falls.

Background:Born on the isle Ikie was always a small shy girl she was the type to finish her work quickly so that she could go and be in a spot where there were few other people. There was only one little problem. She was raised a servant for a lesser noble family. There was always something to do and there were always others around. Still Ikie never once raised her voice in argument. It was simply how she was raise to be. It wasn’t odd or unusual in the least to her. There were entire weeks when she would not speak a word. She found she was very good with her fingers and liked to make clothes. She also had a basic gift for magic. It wasn’t spectacular or even very powerful but Ikie could call a light mist and could always seem to find water when she wanted it. So for a time she was sent to the arcane university twice a week to study. It was doubted she could ever amount to much in that field, but to waste any talent seemed a crime to her masters. Eventually her sixtieth birthday came. It was on this day that she could deice to continue her life as a servant or to pick a new path. With a lot of hesitation and excitement Ikie picked to wander and find a new path in life. She was so terrified when she started out away from the city she had known her whole life. The isle seemed so much bigger and to Ikie scarier than ever. She spent a few years slowly building her confidence and using her skills to make money. It seemed no mater what village she stopped at she could always find work. Making cloths or cleaning houses and shops. It was never a job to be kept for long since anyone could do it, but it gave her a place to rest for the night and often a meal to fill her belly. It was much harder for Ikie to ask for the jobs. She would approach a villager and ask only to be told she was to quiet and she should speak up. It often took a few tries before the villager who usually felt bad by this point would tell her if there was or was not a job in the village. If there wasn’t she would bow and thank them before moving on. There were times she was offered room and a meal in exchange for nothing. Ikie would often set to cleaning the house if this were the case. She didn’t like such kind people to end up getting nothing in return. That was simply not fair to her. Eventually she came a village called Forlu, she’d been directed toward it from the last place she stopped. It looked like any other village she had seen. Looking up at the sky Ikie felt the water coming. It was going to rain. Hurrying toward the village she realized she wasn’t close enough to make it in time. The nearest building seemed to be a shop of some kind. There was a sign above the door that was carved out. Odds and Ends. A strange name but at least it would be warm and dry, well hopefully at least. Racing ahead she felt the fist splashed of rain on her ears by the time she reached the door. Winded she opened the door and stepped inside. There was a girl sitting behind a counter reading. She didn’t look up at all. Looking around Ikie noticed that shop had a lot of little things in it and many of them were slightly dusty. She even spied a spider web up in the corner of a shelf. Clearing her throat she approached the counter. The girl still didn’t look up from the book she was reading. When she reached the counter Ikie rapped her knuckled on it to get the other’s attention. Ikie watched as the other girl’s head jerked up and she nearly fell off the stool she was sitting on. Ikie’s voice was soft in the silence of the shop. “Ah sorry. I’m Meikia S-Softpad. could I… could I stay here until the storm passes. I don’t have much coin, but I could clean.” The other blinked at her and then looked amused for some reason. “Well now. Hello I’m Reoakee and I’m only here since I’m an herbalist for the village. Consider this place you home if you’re willing to keep it clean for me. Just don’t expect me to feed you. There are enough plants out back it shouldn’t be a problem, but if you can work I’d suggest doing that so you can get some money to trade for goods.” Nodding she followed Reo around as the other girl pointed out a broom and other cleaning supplies. Setting to work Ikie wondered what kind of work she could find in town. After all if someone got a whole place to themselves just because they were an herbalist maybe Ikie could open her own sewing shop.. that would be fun. Smiling Ikie cleaned the shop thinking she might look a bit more at this village. Maybe she had found her home after all. It wasn’t a dangerous adventure like in the tales or like traveling across the isle, but Ikie liked safe quite places.
Ikie started to go by the nickname Mei while living with Reo, her duties were cleaning and cooking. Mind the shop was Reo was working as healer became a part of her duties as well. Soon enough it felt like Mei was a part of the village forever. She didn’t mind at all though. Every so often Reoakee had Mei delivering letters for her. On one such errand Mei ran into Lady Dea. Lady Dea was a noble who was kind and visited the shop every so often even if it was rather out of the way in Forlu. Having some time to spare Mei followed Dea around helping with a bit of shopping not liking the idea of leaving the pregnant noble to fend for herself. During this time Mei was surprise to find herself offered a job to help Lady Dea. Not only would it be helping with the Azrein and with the soon to come child, but also to aide Lady Dea herself. Unable to help herself Mei found herself torn she didn’t want to leave Reoakee, but knew she was a good choice to help Lady Dea. She agreed to it as short term help since she knew Reoakee would not refuse and would likely insist on it with Lady Dea being so heavy with child.
On her way back from that venture to inform Reoakee and set her friend up so the shop wouldn’t collapse in a month without her presence Mei found another surprise. A playful mare named Xela not only brightened Mei’s day but changed her life. Mei never knew bonding could be so incredible.

~A bond with Xela~
"A horse is running all over the place up ahead! It's her first time I've seen her in the fields and shes quite enjoying herself." The traveler tells Mei. Thanking the man for his heads up Mei nodded her head. She didn’t really think the mare would come and speak with her after all Mei was just one traveler on the road. Shifting her pouch she started down the road without much thought. She was on her way back to Odds and Ends in Forlu to see Reoakee. Suddenly she felt a tug on her ribbon and turned to stare into playful happy eyes. At a loss for what to say Mei addressed her immediate issue. “Um.. I’m sorry could you let go?” The playful mare let go and circled Mei to nudge her in the back. “I’m Xela, play with me?” Turning Mei smiled surprised by the mare’s forthright nature. “I’m Mei. I have to head to the village of Forlu…” Seeing the mare’s face start to pout she waved her hands trying to prevent the mare form getting sad. After all spending a bit of time playing wouldn't be to bad would it? Reo could wait a while before Mei back to pick up a few of her things. “b-but I could stay and play for a little while.” The mare’s face brightened up and soon Mei had the Azrein circling her playing tag. It wasn’t long before Mei was out of breath but laughing like a child again. With all the dark things going on in the world it was nice to be able to find someone to laugh and smile with. Mei was having so much fun she almost didn't notice the laugh that was running through her head. Stopping she stared at Xela unbelieving. Where your body fails, I shall be your strength. When your judgement is clouded, I shall be your clarity. Whenever you feel broken and lost, and feel as if life holds no meaning, I will show you the wonder and joy it holds, and will heal and guide you back to my embrace. When the weight of the world is on your shoulders, I will carry you. I will love you, no matter your crimes, your decisions, or your fears. I will always accept you, and you shall never be alone again. Your despair will be met with my hope, and the fetters that bind you are no more. Your soul is mine, and my soul is yours, and we will never be apart, even in death. If even a hundred thousand years pass, I will always love you. Now my dear bonded who said the game was done? Come one let's keep going! Feeling warmth blossom in her chest Mei listened to her bonded amazed at the joy she was feeling and able to share. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
