"You promise you won't fail any of them?" Aria chuckled softly, shaking her head. "Those are very, very dangerous words Candace. If any of the other division leaders caught you saying those words, they might hold you to it." She probably should have stuck with the tried and true method of Deus Ex teaching and let Candace find out about that for herself. But then again, unlike most of the Deus Ex teachers she preferred her trainees alive and in one piece.
Candace's words, however, gave Aria noticeable pause. "Wh-what? I think you have me mistaken with someone else," Her hand rose as if to wave the conversation away, shaking her head as she did so. "I still have a long, long way to go in order to match up to anyone else. But..." She shook her head, making a shooing motion with her hands. "Go on, off with you. I'll be waiting for your report whenever you complete your tasks."
After Candace had left, the division leader sighed and twisted to one side, stretching out on the couch. One arm rose to lie across her eyes, blocking out the light as she listened to the trainee's footsteps fade away. "Hey, Symph?" Aria asked. "You don't think... nah. Nevermind."
