Zaire gave a strangled yelp as the hooves connected with her ribcage and sent her crashing into a wall. "Come on girl, you can do it! Dig!" Ed encouraged. Inwardly, he winced. That attack had looked nasty.

Bandit snorted as more chunks of earth struck him and he sparked once more, sending electricity in all directions.

((Shoot, I've lost. Might as well play it out...))
Ed winced. Even with criticals, there was no way to win if the opposing trainer was going to use moves that couldn't miss. But he wasn't going to back down. In the field, he might have to order Zaire to keep attacking in a hopeless situation, or have her attack even if she would lose, to do enough damage so that he, or another pokemon, could come in after and finish the attacker off. "Zaire, Dig!" he ordered. Though clearly tired, Zaire immediately obeyed, digging furiously.

Bandit reared up on his hind legs and then slammed his hooves into the ground, a victorious look on his face as he sent one last burst of electricity out in all directions. Finally, his first victory!

Zaire collapsed, tried to get up, and collapsed again. "You did good, girl. Good girl, Zaire. Return!" Ed called, recalling his exhausted Zorua. She had done very well. She had obeyed him immediately, and had waited for instruction before acting. She would be a good police dog. "Good battle! I have to go get my girl healed now, goodbye," Ed called to the other trainer before leaving.
