Shaking his head he let his hand relax and went back to gently stroking the others back. "I don't always know what I'm doing, I'm far from that. I'm not perfect, so I can't know all the time." And he never would, he knew he'd always doubt certain actions and words of his. There was simply no way around it, unless he never did or said anything. But he'd had his reasons those three times, he had worked to remind himself of those reasons. For the safety of Sugilite and himself, to remove another senshi from the Surrounding, to please the General and not be so weak. He'd had his reasons each time.
"I will, don't worry." Laughing he smiled at the other, glad for the lightening upon this conversation. It was good, so good, for the heavy issue to be lightened. "Do you think you'll be alright after me telling you this?" He had to ask, had to make sure the other would be ok. He was worried for the other, he had to be, Bazzite was a sensitive and innocent individual.

The young boy nodded his head slowly, frowning a little bit in thought. "...yeah, I think. I think I'll be okay, Beni." Just as long as you're still you and you're not some crazy murderer psycho guy! came another thought. Bazzite chewed his lip a little bit and pushed dirt around with his shoe. "I should probably go home now, huh? No energy to give or anything."
His patrols yielded enough energy, but now Bazzite wasn't so sure he wanted to go after a starseed anymore. Even if it didn't kill a civilian, it just made them... not them anymore. Like zombies. And if Bazzite disliked anything (aside from pirates) it was zombies. It wasn't right to leave them like that, so he decided to leave them alone. Period. The lieutenant listlessly turned and started to walk down the alley towards where home may have been. He blinked a few times and looked over his shoulder to wave at his superior officer.
"Night, Beni. You... be safe, okay?"

Something had changed in the other, and he wasn't sure it was a good thing. In fact, he was pretty sure it wasn't. Just listening and watching him he was sure it wasn't good. Guilt curled in his stomach, he shouldn't have told him everything he had, but he had to tell him. He had to help train and teach him and he'd asked. He knew the result wouldn't be good but he had to know before he went and tried to take a starseed, and if he did in fact take one....it'd only be worse then it was now.
"Try and sleep, if you need anything...ever...you know how to contact me." Provided he was powered up, and the other was, Bazzite would be able to contact him.
"I will, you too...please." The last word a whisper as the other left, hopefully to go home and try and get some sleep. He hoped it was peaceful, but doubted it would be. Glancing skyward he sighed, he had energy still to gather himself.
