Estelle walked into the cafe with a panda backpack and headphones which were playing some classical music. She looked around the quiet cafe where she found that her usual spot was still open. The petite girl headed over there and set her stuff down where she began to browse through the menu. She decided to try something different so she ordered that so while she waited, she took a book out and began to read. Estelle liked coming to the cafe to read because it was much quiet and the patrons they had here were a bit older and the other kids didn't come here too often which was nice. Most of them liked to go to the Tavern which was perfectly fine with Estelle. It just meant the cafe would always be nice and quiet.

Alexander walked in sporting his usual military foliage green clothing and a brown paper bag smelling like sweet, succulent, wild strawberries. His eyes shifted to a girl wearing a panda back pack. He nodded after speculating her and walked to the main kitchen. "Hey... Can I have a special please?" A voice eminated from the kitchen to the front. "Okay Alexander, but I might run out of pasta if you keep eating every few hours." "Oh come on... I don't eat that much veggie lasagna." "You'd be surprized... You're like an animal the way you eat. I don't know where you put it." Alexander shrugged and set his brown paper bag down on the girl's table.

"Okay Alexander... It will be ready in a few. And pay in cash. Not in emeralds again... The pawn shop is getting pretty mad that we keep taking them those instead of brownies." Alexander shrugged sitting down across from Estelle. The paper bag was cracked enough for the smell to leak. At once Alexander was quietly thinking. "Sorry for the interruption miss." He said looking down. Alexander had always went straight to the chef for his items... Never through other workers.

"Oh... Sorry. It's much easier to lip rid when you sit close to some one. Nice book by the way. Chapter twenty one by the way you read." He pointed to her book. Which was now laid down upon the table. "I like it when Sam and Brid meet. It's one of my favorites to read in my spare time." Her music, though however small and kept to her own head, could be heared with his ears. He nodded along and smiled warmly. "So... Are you new to town?" Alexander fiddled with his bag of scents.

"I didn't say you were reading out loud. I just made a notion that occassionaly you moved your lips to a few words that seemed to roll off the tongue is all. I'm sorry for asking if you're new..." He turned his head as a young child, age of nine or ten, walked in with a note pad and a bag filled with the sound of slightly jinglinglyness.

"Alexander... Here you are."

"Ah thank you. Now please take this," He said opening his brown paperbag and pulling out a shiny silver bottle that gave the fresh smell. "And the emeralds and go buy a red mixed white dress with a laced front and a few other undergarments to go along with at the mall. Once that is done take both to a new member in the woods named Evona." The kid nodded and ran off with the bag.

"Now where were we... Oh yes. I am sorry for asking if you were new, I just don't go many other places out of the..." He thought of his words for a moment. "College or my humble abode. I don't meet many people other than professors and workmen. It is pleasant to meet one such as yourself so interested in reading. Especially in the town's cafe. Smells of food often distract the mind from it's tasks and seem to allow it to drift into hunger instead of concentration in the interesting task at hand." He puased again when the cook came out carrying an entire box filled with the vegetable lasagna and set it down by Alexander's feet.

"Okay Alexander... Five entire lasagna dishes to feed about one hundred days for one person. Don't come back until you've finished it. And bring back each of the dish wares."

"Thank you. How much will it be?"

"One hundred three dollars and forty seven cents as usual." The chef nodded holding out his hand.

Alexander replied shelling out cash from his wallet. A small glowing emerald dropped out onto the table. "Here you go. Exact amount. Not a penny more..." As soon as he handed the money over, the chef walked away. Alexander picked up the box and had forgotten about his scents and tiny engraved, glowing emerald.

"Well I hope you enjoy the ending of that book... I have somewhere to be right now." Alexander walked to the door and soon found that it was raining. "Ah... Bloody 'ell'... Forgot my coat. Oh well..." He slyly slid out the door and began making spots in the clouds for him to walk under and not get wet. "Much better..." One of the holes kept over him making the light shine down through which made him appear as a gleam of happiness in the dark world. With box over shoulder Alexander walked on...

However his emerald started to speak thoughts from his head. His scents and the tiny emerald laid on the table. The emerald had an engraving of a wolf standing on a thunder cloud. The glow was an unnatural sea green, which burned and fuelled like an ember. A sound rang out... Loud enough for some one near the emerald to hear it. Alexander's voice seemed to make it.

'Hmm... Odd... Maybe I left the sodden emerald at the shrine. Man, if those maidens find it... Or if some human finds it, I might not be able to even breathe when the Alpha catches word.'

"Is that so... Sorry for being a little snippy," Estelle replied letting out a small sigh.
Suddenly, a little girl appeared out of the blue who seemed to have come for the bag that smelt of strawberries. She watched the two converse quickly until the little girl took the bottle of perfume and left just as quickly as she had come. After that, the cook came out with a pile of lasagna for the man which made Estelle feel a little sick. She could not believe that all that food was for him alone and it seemed that eating that much was normal for him. How was he able to eat so much? Alexander paid the man and after that was done, he left the cafe but he had left something behind. It was a little emerald stone that seemed to glow slightly. Estelle stared at it and was about to do something when her order finally arrived. She left the gem alone for now to enjoy her meal.
