Name: Fiavel Auvreathem

Specie or race: Elf

Social Class: Middle

Age: 24 (age is older, but that is what she looks)

Powers: Aquas (Water Skill)

Quote:
What she has is the abilities of hydrokinesis (being able to move water), hyrdo-cryokinesis (freezing water), and hydro-thermokinesis (ability to boil water). While the three have seperate functions and uses, they each simply involve one trait: the ability to manipulate water molecules. All these talents come in useful in battles, and what limits her is the size of the task at hand.

Hydrokinesis: The more water molecules that must be focused upon, the less able she is to control them. The most she has currently been able to handle at one time is approximately the size of a large beach ball in shape when moving water from place to place.

Hydro-cryokinesis: This task, Fia would readily admit is the hardest to do, as it forces the molecules closer together and the concentration that it takes to keep them together long enough for the initial heat present to leak away requires full concentration. The smaller the object to be frozen the easier it is to do.

Hydro-thermokinesis: Boiling water is considerably easier of all three tasks, as all it involves is finding the water source, and then adding a bit more energy to the molecules thus making them excited which in turn creates the heat needed to boil. Unlike hydro-cryokinesis, this particular act is not as hampered by size, and in fact the larger the object, the easier it is.

Talents: Swordplay, Flexiblity, Agility

Specialization: Warrior, herbology

Background: Fiavel, or Fia as her family called her, grew up in a small elven village where she was taught the art of being a warrior, as it was a necessary skill for all to have to survive in the harsh surroundings. She was sent to the College when her ability to manipulate water molecules began to manifest (mainly in times of high emotion, this cause many burned tongues), where she studied hard to master her ability. There, she grew fond of books, and began to make it her goal to learn all she could of everything she could get her little hands on.

Near the time for her graduation, news arrived that her village had not only been pillaged by allies of the Six, but her family had been killed in the skirmish. There was thoughts that a younger brother might have survived, as his body had yet to be found admist the ruins. Grief tore her world apart, and for a time she was lost...until one day she vowed to find vengence upon the Six. With this, she found purpose in her life, and she intends to make the Six pay for the death of her family in any way she finds possible. She's a vigilante of sorts, traveling from town to town hunting down those who ally with the enemy as she seeks for her younger brother.

Personality: First Glance: she looks almost sad. She rarely speaks much to those she's just met until she knows they are worth trusting. She is hard-headed and stubborn, as much of her race, seeming to almost be above the level of those around her. Graceful the way she moves, she has a toughness about her.

Second Glanace (or much later, she you've earned her trust): She's actually a very kind soul, and very loyal. Once you have gained her friendship, she will defend you with her life as she expects you do the same for her. She prizes honor and knowledge, and seeks to find all she can of the latter through her journeys. However, if she is betrayed by a friend, woe to the foe, for forgiveness will never be yours until she has put a blade through your heart.

She prizes honor and knowledge, and seeks to find all she can of the latter through her journeys. History: Fia grew up in the countryside with her parents in a small village, and it was there that she started learning herbology and it's uses from her mother as they gathered plants for meal preparations or to help those who fell ill, her mother being the closest thing available as a physician at this time. Being an only child, in her spare time she'd spend it following the boys of the village as they would take to 'sword-fighting' with anything available, though it took some time, and quite a few bruises, before she gained their respect.

As a female, she was banned from lessons that an elder of a neighboring village gave the older boys regarding the art of swordplay, but a chance encounter of him watching her fight one day impressed him. Instead of boxing her ears and sending her home ashamed and humiliated, he offered her private lessons, in exchange, she would clean and cook for him in his home for a time. She accepted, and served him for a couple years before illness overtook him and despite her best efforts, he passed away. Before he died, he gave her a rapier, telling her it was to be passed down to his children, but as he'd never had any he'd be honored if she would carry it with her.

At least that is what she understood the story behind him offering training lessons. What she hadn't ever known was that she'd been suspected of having a Skill for quite some time, and in fact he'd caught her one day when she thought she'd been alone, trying to see how much water she could levitate at one time while on an errand to gather water. He'd thought about it for days, and after deciding where his duty to his people was supposed to be, had been on his way to the Council of her own village Elders when it was by chance he'd seen her fight. Few had her grace, and in a way he'd been smitten, and with the War getting worse, decided it might be best to help her survive whatever was going to happen next. He never told her he knew.

She returned to her parent's home, and shortly afterwards, they moved to the city - the fighting was becoming worse, and safety could no longer be had in remote places. They took up lodging in a small inn, and while her father sought jobs assisting with the stables, she and her mother set up a small area offering to help those sick or injured, sometimes going door to door and often laughed at. She kept the sword hidden, knowing few would take her seriously as a warrior of any skill here in the city - they'd be more apt to take it from her and call her a theif and a liar, though she smirked at the thought of them even trying. Still, things were very much on edge here in the City, and she learned to keep her head down and ears open...and then the Calamity struck.

The first year was chaos, her parents were killed early on by mobs maddened by the changes wrought as people sought clean water and necessities to live - her father, for the fact he'd been in a nobles stable and mistaken as one of his servants despite his pleas, and her mother for whatever reason the mob had found. Possibly she'd simply been in the way. Fia had no time to mourne them, she gathered her things and kept on the move. Even though it was bad, for now she figured the city was still her best chance of staying alive. She has very few memories of this year that are very clear.

The years went by in much the same monotonous tone: survival of the fittest. She saw much, did much that she wasn't proud of, and helped where she could. She used her Skill to purify water and sell it (levitating it necessarily meant that any impurities would fall out since she could only manipulate water molecules themselves), and began to make a name for herself, though in time, she found it best to keep moving - too much attention was bound to get her killed if any suspected her ability to constantly find clean water was anything more than theif's luck.

2 years ago, all that changed. Things were still bad but some order had begun to form with the emergence of gangs and territories. Wandering one section of the city looking for food, she inadvertently entered into one such newly formed gang's area when a couple of men patrolling the area snuck up on her and before she could pull her sword, found herself pinned to the ground, one of the men pawing at her skirt. Embarrassed and angry, she let loose her Skill with a scream. Two of the them immediately became flushed in the face as their blood began to boil and then fell over seizing, dead before they'd truly hit the ground. The third started to scramble away, but then screamed as he held himself writhing on the ground, his most prized possession breaking off frozen.

Sitting up, she heard a laugh from the end of the alleyway, but before she could react, he'd picked her and pinned her to the wall by her neck like a doll. He was blind, a strip of grey cloth around his eyes, and upon the arm that held her a black viper coiled...she couldn't remember his name, but she knew the symbol of the Black Serpents. As she struggled for breath, he bent close and whispered something that both calmed and intrigued her, though what it was, she no longer remembers - only the need to follow him, to learn from him remained.

She was his first recruit in this 2nd era of the Serpents, and she would give her life for him in an instant. She is a bit of mystery to the gang, it being the agreement between her and Altais to keep her role kinda hidden. She just has been...'there'...easily forgotten, being a woman, and thus easily underestimated in her abilities, which is exactly how Altais would like to keep her seen. Makes her dramatic appearances all the more suprising to their enemies before she slits their throats.

Relationships: None at this time

Weapons: Main weapon of use is a single rapier, has a few small knives stashed in her boot and belt. Able to use a shield, though the jobs she does rarely requires her to carry one.

Outside of her Skill, she specializes in herbology - studying plants and their uses both in healing and cooking, and swordplay.

Strengths:
↳ Size - she is lithe and stealthy, can get into spaces the men can't, often overlooked and underestimated
↳ Medical lore - taught much from her mother about medicinal herbs and what is considered poisons, also knows much about wounds and disease.
↳ Speed/Endurance - because she's small, she has to make use of speed and surprise to succeed
↳ Ability to find/use water - Because we are mostly made of water, and she has the ability to manipulate the molecules themselves, this makes her able to use the water in the the blood of a person against them. She can also sense quantities of water in nearby areas (tho of course cannot pull it out of the air - unless it's raining - or from deep in the ground to the surface)

Weaknesses:
↳ Strength - because of her size, physical strength is not something she's abundant in.
↳ Soft-hearted - she hates to see suffering when she can alleviate it.

Likes:
↳ A good book beside a nice fire
↳ Altais
↳ Helping others
↳ The shocked look on people's faces when they realize she's more than she seems
↳ Drinking ice cold water on a hot day, and hot baths on cool nights

Dislikes:
↳ Spiders
↳ Killing without reason

████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████

Extra / Other: The armor outfit she wears was a gift from Altais a year after she joined the Serpents, a sort of token of respect after a particularly gruesome job had been accomplished.
