"Hmmm..." A low rumble of thought. Not a bad idea, not bad at all. Through, before he could truly word his agreement, Glyph was distracted by the shooting star that slid through the newly-remade sky.

"Perhaps my brother Tian Yue would know." His tail was wagging back and forth in a wide arch, shifting through the tall grass idly. "Through the night elves have a similar notion..." That he remembered, from Illisia. "Tokens from Elune, meant to bring good luck to those who saw it."

But not really, not anymore. There is no Universe to guide that shooting star...

It seemed silly for gods to wish on stars like these, especially to lifeless stars, but the dragon was content to amuse Glyph. "Only one way to find out, right ? Try it."

User Image"Maybe..." He mused, rubbing an ear in thought, then chuckled at the mention of Elune. "I would like to meet their Elune... I'm told their lore places much of the ties between Cenarius and Elune." He tossed his head in Xun's direction, proud of the discovery of one of his names, "They call me Cenarius there... though I hardly look like their depictions of him." Holding up his hands, he mimed the large ears and antlers with a grin.

"Try it?" He blinked, hands held up and wiggled his fingers thoughtfully, "Oh... I don't know." Still holding his hands up to his head, he looked up to the sky and considered it, quirking his lips as he did so. What would he wish for? It seemed silly to wish for something like long life or happiness, he had both already... followers? Defenses against the Grigori? He puffed out his cheeks as he finally settled, "I wish to have the strength to stand before and defeat the Grigori." He stared at the sky a moment longer then let his hands fall as he shuffled back.

The process brought him up against Xun's side and he pause when he felt the fur, glanced at the dragon and gave an impish grin, "Excellent, a furry pillow! Though, you're still damp!" Leaning back, he lounged against his friend's side, "What would you wish for?"

"I am afraid that this won't be possible." The dragon answered, sighing. "Elune was Universe... He has told us so."

But at least the night elven people weren't completely guideless. They still had Glyph. "She always knew, deep down. There was a reason she wanted you to go with her, you know." He'd always suspected it, but when they'd became one... Well, he'd been certain.

"Hey." He said in mock affront, giving Glyph a gentle tap of his tail, careful not ti hit with, well... the sharper parts. He didn't mind, really.

Still... What would he wish for ?

"...I would wish for my brothers, reunited. I would wish... To be a better god that I was, before the fading. That whatever I did wrong back then, I can avoid it now." An hard task, when he didn't even know what it was to begin with.

User ImageGlyph's ears drooped at the confirmation that Elune was Universe, lost before he'd ever known the God. Reflexively, he snugged in better to the living, breathing being at his side as if to banish the thought that they could very well lose more in the coming storm.

"Mmn, that so? She was indeed wise... I loved that about her, the vigor and sass despite such a long life, no dulled spark there. I will return to them at some point... I just hope they haven't forgotten me in my absence, I left little in the way of rites or celebration or teachings, I think." He frowned, wondering if that had been a mistake - had he been too caught in the mortal to attend to the immortal aspect? Their belief was his bread and butter, it wouldn't make sense not to stoke that flame.

Ducking when he was smacked, Glyph made a face at the dragon, laughing as he shook his head, "What? If you leaned on me like this, I should think this Tree would topple!"

The other's wish made him blush and he looked away, embarassed, "That's a very good wish. Better then mine." He looked up, a smile dancing in his eyes, "I sure you will be. I don't want to lose..." the comment trailed off and he coughed, "I don't want to lose you my friend and I'm determined not to succumb again either."

That tail came to a stop, and curled around Forest's form, as if sensing his unease. He would do anything in his power to keep that from happening, as would his brothers and his sister. He knew it.

If they had to stand together as the first barrier, then by Crown they would. Even Laurence and Illisia had been willing, back when almost all the reborn kings gathered, and they'd been only hosts...

Perhaps were still only hosts. Hm, perhaps he should check out for Laurence and Kheviel.

"I doubt they will forget you so easily." Sometimes, he wondered if Glyph even realized the true span of what he'd done in Darnassus. That spark had been something he'd loved in Illisia, something he treasured.

Something that was now his, and he would do his best not to let it fade away.

"A tiny little tree." He snorted, amused. Illisia had nearly a foot on him - Glyph was lucky the body hadn't grown taller when he'd taken it. "A bonzai, perhaps."

He was probably going to get smacked, but if it took Glyph away from the dark paths that his mind was headed toward, then it would be worth it.

User ImageHis gaze was drawn by the tail as Xun curled around, his lips pursed in a pensive expression. An absent nod answered the dragon's comment and he gave a shrug - either way, he needed to return, not just to check on them... but to begin to rebuild his cults. They seemed as feasible a place as any. "Hey... would yo-"

Glyph cut himself off as he was called tiny, then bonzai and his ears flicked back as eyed the dragon, distracted easily enough, "Tiny, Bonzai? Oooh!" He shoved at the dragon, or tried to and shook his head, "Just you wait lifewater! Some day I'll be taller then you! And my chest will be face-height!"

Oh ho ho ho ho ! Results more amusing than expected ! Really, it was almost too easy to tease Glyph like that.

"Greater than my coils, Forest ? Really ?" His voice was thick with amusement, maw curled up in a smile. Certainly he wasn't Tian Yue, but certainly he hadn't been this small in his prime.

Certainly not.

"Tell you what, if you do manage that... I will make you your own wellspring, wherever you wish for it to be." A bet ? Well, why not ?
PostPosted: Thu Feb 02, 2012 9:20 pm

User ImageGlyph's expression soured into a bit of a pout, "That's not fair." Then the bet was offered and he quirked a brow, "Manage what? Being taller then you, not in your dragon form? Your dragon form is cheating. And if I'm not taller then you... then I'll personally found a forest for you. Fair?"

He grinned then and gave a shrug, "I'd like a wellspring either way, really... if you're offering..."

Well, not especially fair, no, but he hadn't meant for it to be. It wasn't his fault Glyph was awfully cute when pouting.

...Through it was probably Illisia's fault that he found it cute. The dragon cleared his throat, trying to make it his self-induced awkward moment pass.

"Well then." He resumed. "It has to be an equal comparison. Normal form to not -dragon form, same state of power." He'd probably lose, but... oh well. It wasn't like he could be able to refuse Glyph a wellspring if he had a good reason to want one, anyway.

User Image"Same state of power...." Glyph mused, then nodded, flashing a brilliant smile that sparked with mischief, "Deal!"

Patting one of Xun's forelimb, Forest tilted his head to the side, "You know, I'd give you woodlands anyway, right?" Maybe they could work on something together one day... Lifewater as an ally in the recuperation of the woods would be most enjoyable.

There was a light chuckle rolling out of the dragon's maw. "And you know I'd give you a wellspring anyway, don't you ?" Silly, silly, adorable little bonzai. Inwardly, he sighed, through thanks to his dragon form, Xun Jiang remained more or less unreadable.

"Through you'll need to chose wisely. Wellsprings are not as easily conjured as they look to be." He admitted. Doing the one had Creation's request had drained him, left him powerless for days, through the newness of his rebirth was perhaps to blame.
PostPosted: Sun Feb 05, 2012 11:39 am

User ImageForest's light laughter joined Xun's and he nodded, a quirk of his lips giving him a mischievous air, "I will hold you to that, my friend... and I will certainly consider very carefully where a wellspring should go." He bit his lower him and looked out over the lake, having already decided it had to be somewhere important to him.

"As it stands, right now, I can give you a forest one tree at a time, so I think we're even on that score." He chuckled.

"Well. good things do take time, don't mortals say ?" Time. Limitless for gods, in a way, and yet not so for most mortals, who watched minutes, hours, days tick away, helpless to do anything about it.

Hopefully their own times would not end up with limited again.

The dragon king went silent, then, pensive.
PostPosted: Sun Feb 05, 2012 7:46 pm

User ImageGlyph laughed, "I suppose you're right there, Xun." He paused when he felt the other tense and turned to lay an arm over the muscled, furry shoulders, "Are you alright?" His concern was genuine, the friendship that danced in his eyes true... it worried him that the dragon changed attitudes so swiftly.

Glyph's voice broke through his thoughts like a lightning strike, and he raised his head, a little startled. "Everything is fine." He said. "I am sorry... I seem to have lost myself in my thoughts again."

Somber thoughts, at that. What other choice did they have but to look for answers, to hone themselves, and grow stronger ?

He gave Forest a draconic smile, to back his words. "You're so light." He said, amused, as he stood, with Forest still draped across his shoulder and back. The added weight wasn't bothersome at all, through Adrienne had been a little lighter. "Tiny little bonzai~"

Oh, he was going to get it, but this was as good a distraction as any.
